Cozy West Asheville Home

Blue Cottage West feels like a remote cabin but is a short 10 minute drive to the heart of West Asheville/Haywood Rd., and 15 minutes to Downtown. The home has a wrap around deck and large yard with fire pit for enjoying the surrounding nature. Inside, you'll feel that cozy, "lived-in" kind of vibe with a wood burning fireplace and a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the kitchen tools necessary to make this place feel like home.

Upon arriving at the Blue Cottage you will enter the home through the living room, which has a large sofa and loveseat - perfect for lounging after a long day of exploring all that Asheville has to offer. The living room hosts a decorative wood burning fireplace, large smart TV, and even a Nintendo Wii. Built in 1965, this home still features historic wood flooring and carpentry which give this property lots of character.

Just off the living room is the large kitchen with bar seating, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a unique custom tile floor. The kitchen has everything you'll need, from a traditional coffeemaker, Keurig, french press, and electric kettle, to a toaster oven, air fryer, and rice cooker. A laundry room with front loader, high efficiency machines is just off of the kitchen, and has its own entrance from the large deck.

The bedrooms at Blue Cottage are right around the corner from the kitchen and both host queen sized beds with spacious closets for storing your personal items. Guests should note that the bedrooms are connected, and you must enter one bedroom to get to the other.

Just outside of the two bedrooms is the bathroom, which has been tastefully updated with a large bathtub/shower combination and beautiful marble accents. The bathroom still has some original features, such as an of-era pedestal sink and tile wall accents.

Around the corner from the bathroom is a large dining room which also connects to the living room.

Guest access:
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire house.

Other things to note:
- Driveway is a little steep. Please use caution when exiting the driveway.
- Guests must go through one bedroom to access the other bedroom.
- Use of wood burning fireplace is not permitted.
- Guests may use the firewood for fire pit.
- We can often accommodate an early Check-in and late Check-Out! Please don't hesitate to ask and we will accommodate if we can! :-)
- Depending on the route you take to arrive at Blue Cottage West, you may pass through very diverse and safe neighborhoods consisting of locals, farmers, trailer parks, or small family owned businesses.
- The home is in a wooded area, so it is normal to see a bug here or there. You may see a resident bunny or other critter in the yard occasionally as well. This all a part of mountain living!
