Easy going people

Stephanie ran through our arrival. Showed us the keys and said just lock the sliders when you leave. One of them does not lock from the outside, you have to go out the back door. Grounds, walkway full of raked leaves just left in a pile, I swept them up and out of our walking path . Wifi listed on welcome sheet incorrect, manager came over and said it was wrong, some speel about problems with computer. Don't worry about renting, we were told we were the last. When we logged back into VRBO we saw construction discount, asked about it, some excuses were made, little lies told ( construction starts at 9, not, 6:30 am. Skill saw, jackhammer etc) We're good people, put up with it and did not attack anyone, just asked for the discount price. VRBO was not helpful in the matter, take it up with the owner, manager. Chris was not helpful! The island is beautiful, and the people who really work, wonderful!

Location and Views

Loved the location of the house. There were several things that need fixed but I believe the owner knows that. I understand it is on an island and you can't just go to Home Depot. The construction next door does make things a little messy but not the owners fault. Overall very happy and would book again

Best Views!

We were 2 couples staying for a week. We hardly heard the construction noise so it didn't bother us. The house was very comfortable, including the beds. The kitchen had everything we needed. The porches were fantastic with great views. We spent several mornings and evenings just chilling on the porch. The peaocks were beautiful and entertaining. Great location, walking distance to everything you need. Will definitley stay here again!

Great stay

Chris the property manager is fantastic Great communication throughout our stay. Kitchen has no air but didnt matter because we were so close to great bars and restaurants. Construction noise next door started at 7am but didn't bother us. Beds were super comfortable and rooms were nice and air-conditioned. Outdoor space was perfect to take in the phenomenal views.

Amazing place!

My husband and I loved staying at the Peacock for our honeymoon!! It is in such a great location, walking distance to everything in downtown Cruz bay, and has beautiful views! Would highly recommend! Thanks again to Chris and Stephanie for all of their help with getting us there and for making our stay the best 😊

LOVE IT!

Our stay was for 7 days and it was WONDERFUL! On our last night there, we had a break in and our friends purse and about $400-500 was taken. The only saving grace was, "they" left her drivers license and her credit cards behind. The manager came over and handled it along with the local police. A report was taken and was told that it was being investigated. Hope to hear back on it soon! Other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay and close to everything!!

Peacock House Indeed!

Stayed with friends & as other reviewers have stated, the house is perfect for 2 couples. 2 bedrooms & patios, separated by a kitchen. Location was perfect, about 6 min walk to Cruz Bay (double that time coming back as it's a steady incline all the way back). Had everything we needed except a can opener & that was quickly remedied. Some things to note - bedrooms do not have TVs. I don't care about that but some may. Main bedroom is attached to the living area, with a large TV. Bedrooms have window AC units which do a great job. No AC anywhere else so kitchen gets warm if you're cooking (manager brought us a box fan to help). We kept the door to the main bedroom open during the day to help keep the living area cool. That bedroom also has an awesome blackout shade to keep the sun & heat out. The other bedroom has drapes over the doors but they were not blackout drapes so don't take that room if you want to sleep in. Construction is right beside the house but it never bothered us. . Water is not drinkable so you'll need to buy plenty of water. Views from the patios were gorgeous.The real stars of this place are the peacocks. They are beautiful but loud. I loved them & looked forward to seeing them every day. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Perfect for family of 4

Pros: Great experience. Construction noise next door was not excessive and not a big deal at all...usually starts at 7am and really you want to start your day here as early as possible. Peaceful mornings with a great view. The peacocks were great and hung out with us in the mornings. Kitchen amenities were good. Great location and walking distance to Cruz Bay restaurants and shopping. 20 min drive to some great beaches like Cinnamon and Trunk Bay. Communication with property manager was excellent and greeted us on arrival. There was one minor issue that was addressed and taken care of quickly. Would recommend this place. Would come back! Cons: Construction next door but really not a big deal. See above. Could use some hooks outside and inside to hang things. Also a small dresser in rooms would be nice. All of our clothes were pretty much on the floor and out of our suitcase. There were closets with hangers though. Would not recommend with young kids mainly because the bedrooms are not connected....you have to go outside to get to the other bedroom. Some parents may not like that. The description does say no kids under 13 probably for that reason. One of ours was 12 and bunked with their older sibling. Overall: The pros far outweigh the minor cons!

Close to town! View was stunning! Awesome 3 patios with comfortable seating.

Loved the Residence Peacocs, proximity to Cruz Bay, layout great for a couple of two. Having heads up that water must be boiled to drink would have been better for online posting. We just loaded up on gallons of water from the store. Overall thoroughly enjoyed the location and Chris was able to bring us low beach chairs. Love St John!

Perfect Place for a Family Stay!

My mother and I were visiting family that live in the area and wanted our own space without being at a hotel. This was the perfect house for us! Quiet and clean neighborhood, access to the garage, the use of the washer and dryer, and coffee pods that were provided were just some of the amenities provided to us. This was one of the best VRBOs I have rented and Teresa was super easy to work with and incredibly responsive. We weren't able to enjoy the outdoor area complete with a firepit and lounge chairs, but I could see they would be great for family dinners. I would recommend this home to anyone that would be visiting the Phoenix area and would absolutely rent it again!

Great Location

Our stay was fantastic at the appropriately named, Peacock House. We had plenty of colorful peacock friends great us each day, along with a beautiful view. The sunsets were perfect! One thing to note, is that the two bedrooms are separated by the kitchen and have their own separate entrance. Our teens enjoyed their separate space, but something to keep in mind if you have younger kids. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely keep this property in mind for future visits!

Perfect vacay

Loved the location! Only a few short minutes to restaurants, shops and the grocery store. Nice to have a break from driving everywhere. Pictures and description are accurate. Loved having three patio options to choose from!! Relaxing views from all! Had smooth, quick check in with Kelly and he was responsive when we needed propane for the grill. Appreciated the shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in both bathrooms! The towels, cooler and noodles for the beach were great to have! Beds are amazing!!! Would definitely stay again!

The Peacocks are Calling

Amazing location so close to downtown. Beach Bar, Lovango, Terrace and Drink just minutes away walking. ! Very well equipped and great views! Kelly , the host was very nice and helpful. The peacocks love to hang out on the porches. Would stay here again.

Beautiful St John!

My 2 daughters and I had a beautiful week in St John! the views from the Peacock House were AMAZING!!! Location to down town restaurants, bars, grocery store and taxi stand was super convenient! We didn't rent a car while in St. John, nor did we need one given our location. The Peacock House was nicely decorated and very comfortable!! I would definitely recommend making your own reservations for restaurants. We had been told our reservations had been made for us for the week, but unfortunately when we arrived for our first dinner at Morgan Mangoes,we were told no such reservation had been made. We ended up eating at High Tide which was very good! We then called the other restaurants and were able to get reservations for the week! Morgans Mango was our favorite as well as The Beach Bar!! We thoroughly enjoyed the week!!

We loved the location and the place was nice . Property manager was great when we got there , but after we got there he did not answer us . He had promised beach chairs and we never got them for all the 8 days we were there!!! Very dissatisfied with that part of our stay.

Outstanding!

Kelly was absolutely the best host! He took us out for an unforgettable charter boat ride . The house is in the most convenient location to downtown and had everything we could possibly need on our vacation. The views were phenomenal - 180 degrees of sea and sunsets. We enjoyed every minute!

Great location!

Great location very close to town. Wildlife is abundant at this house! This house works perfectly for two couples might be challenging with children. To access the 2nd bedroom you have to go out the sliding glass doors through the kitchen to get to the second bedroom. The kitchen could use a few more cocktail type glasses, mixing bowls and measuring cups but we made it work. I am sure they would have brought some over if we asked. Chris and Kelly responded quickly if we had any issues. The sunsets were beautiful!

Great In-Town Location

Location of the property is great for access to the town of Cruz Bay. Views are very good and the peacocks and iguanas are a unique feature as well. Unfortunately the wildlife makes a bit of a mess on the patios. But they fun to be around them and the location will bring us back. Staff is also very responsive and helpful.
