Kid-friendly Michiana cottage! Summer dates open - including 4th of July!

Plan your stay at our new home, a great 3 bedroom, 2-bath cottage in Michiana. Set in a secluded area between New Buffalo and Michigan City, this house is close to all the region has to offer including restaurants, beaches, Indiana Dunes National Park, beer and wine tasting, and lots of kid-friendly activities. Home is clean and modern (constructed in 2022), is still comfortable and kid friendly.

This cottage has an open layout with all bedrooms and baths on one-level. The Master Bedroom is en-suite with a King Bed and walk-in shower, and opens into a large screened porch. The other two bedrooms have Queen Beds and share a bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room are all open concept, with lots of seating options. There is also a back patio with grill and fire pit, as well as open yard space, so plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors!

The cottage is about 1 from Lake Michigan, which is great for a nice stroll through the wooded area, often spotting deer and other animals. There is beach access available about 1 mile walking (10-15 mins walk), and we provide beach gear and a wagon to help haul any gear. We are also walking distance to two parks that offer playgrounds and tennis/pickleball courts. The cottage is about equal distance between Michigan City and New Buffalo, but on the Indiana side of the state line (central time zone).

If you are planning a multi-family trip, this house is next door to Property #2087945 which is a very similar new cottage so great for two families to be together but still have a bit of privacy!

Family time

We enjoyed this lovely house and the neighborhood. Pleasant walks and a park near by. We did use the New Buffalo public beach to swim, but walked to the closer beach just to enjoy the neighborhood and water view. The house had everything we needed.

Michigan City Weekend Getaway

The house was absolutely perfect for us for a weekend getaway. It was my wife and I plus our daughter and husband, plus their 3- & 5-year-old. The house had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We cooked breakfast each morning before we headed out to the beach. It so clean and very refreshingly decorated. The location was perfect as we could walk to one of the beaches plus the Pizza Stop 50 was really neat and walking distance as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Another great vacation!

We love this house - it's perfect for our family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone. Nice neighborhood for walking, and very quiet. Not too far from Lake Michigan, we went to the beach nearly every day and also checked out the sunset most nights. Highly recommended!

Michiana Shores Cottage

We had a great time at this cottage in Michiana Shores. Everything about the house was great. Bedrooms were all very nice as were the bathrooms. The kitchen/dining room/living room open concept worked well with our group. It was also a slightly shorter walk to the beach than we anticipated. We would definitely stay here again!

Bingley weekend getaway

Beautiful house and quiet neighborhood. Location of rental was close to town and minutes to local beach by vehicle. Rental hostess was very responsive to questions as well as providing hospitality/generosity in housing essentials. Great weekend getaway with kiddos and friends. Thank you!

The house is amazing! We actually rented three houses in the neighborhood to accommodate twenty women. We loved the open floor plan, cleanliness, screen porch & fireplace. Easy to get to the beach and nearby shopping. Will recommend to friends.

The home had everything as stated. Clean and comfortable. The check in book could use more information about the area, playgrounds and kid friendly activities. More info about beach access would be helpful. Would be great to have some local maps. Host was excellent with communication and response.

Amazing House for Family Vacation

This house is new and so beautiful. It’s stocked with more basics than anywhere we’ve ever stayed before. The rooms are spacious, the street is quiet, the screened in porch was wonderful for enjoying the weather away from the bugs. The house is a short walking distance to a wonderful private beach, where we spent most of our time. Our kids loved playing at the park that was only a few minutes to walk to. We also enjoyed so many restaurants that were all within 5-10 minutes of the house. We will definitely be back.

Great getaway! 10 out of 10!

The house was better in person than we imagined! Everything we needed was there we were close to the beach. We were blessed enough to get a ride from the lovely neighbor, since we were clueless on where to go. (They left great directions, I’m just directionally challenged). The house was clean, bright, and welcoming. Definitely 10 out of 10!

Love it!

This is house is very nice but not so stuffy that it feels like you have to worry about your kids breaking something. It's very, very comfortable and lovely and had everything we needed. Love the front porch and the back screened in porch. Definitely a haul to the nearby beach, but we had stayed here a couple years ago and were prepared with our bikes.

Softball weekend

Beautiful beach cottage in great location. Four adults and two children comfortably stayed for a weekend attending my nieces softball tourney. The house is about a 15 minute walk to the beach in a very safe residential neighborhood. The house is near a park and surrounded by trees and wildlife. The beds were incredibly comfortable and communication with the owner was fantastic. I highly recommend this property!

Comfortable and Cozy

We really enjoyed our stay here and found the home to be conveniently located, clean and cute! Would stay here again if coming to the area - very accommodating and comfortable. The nearby beach is a bit far and the only issue we found is that the small parking lot available to use was full and cars were already pinned in. Instead we ended up driving to the New Buffalo public beach, which turned out great since you didn’t have to carry chairs, etc as far.

Great place to stay with family!

The house is fantastic and very well managed. Everything was perfect. The one slight disappointment was that a swimming beach was not quite as accessible as the listing made it seem, but was just a short drive away. We would stay here again!

I'm Mandy, and together with my husband Goran, we are very excited to have a beach house in Michigan City. I grew up in Michigan City, and my family runs a building company in the area, so there is a lot of love and family effort that went into every stage of building this home. We are parents to twin girls, who are three years old. We stay at this house when we visit, and can confirm that it is a great space for families!

This property offers a great convenient location - an easy drive to attractions in both Michigan City and New Buffalo. The house is brand new, and has a serene interior. And we love the retreat feel of being in a wooded neighborhood where you can go on nice walks, by the beach or through the forest.
