Nicely updated, well appointed, comfortable property...

High end finishes, fixtures and decor. Very nice and comfortable home. Nice bedding, excellent bathrooms. Kitchen is well equipped. Easy drive to Highlands area. One of the best information / local guide packets I have ever seen in a rental property. So many things to do in the area. I recommend lunch at Wild Thymes Gourmet in Highlands. Glen Falls hike is beautiful.

NestleInn exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful and made for a comfortable stay. The property is very private and secluded. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Communication from the host was great. Will definitely be back. Looking forward to our next stay.

Great stay, will be back

This was a perfect place for us, 2 couples. The host was very kind and accommodating. Check in and check out could not have been easier. We enjoyed the fire pit, playing with the various board games, the gas fire place, and the corn hole. The location is great, you aren’t far at all from downtown highlands and the trails this area has to offer. The house was clean and I was impressed by the interior, the bathrooms were luxurious (heated floors, nice showers, and sinks) and beds were huge and comfortable. This was a fantastic stay especially for the price, hopefully we will be able to come back in the fall!

Romantic Stay

Nothing says 'romance' like a cozy house tucked in the mountains, cold nights, warm fires, cuddly throws, and a whisp of snow! This was our first stay during the winter months, and it may well have been our best visit to the property yet. It was extremely cold both day and night, and the fire pit was something we looked forward to every evening, as well as a fire inside. The house offers every convenience, but the heated bathroom floors may have been our favorite one! We've enjoyed numerous visits at Nestle Inn and have never been disappointed. The only thing that's changed from visit to visit is how much more we look forward to coming back each time. A special 'thank you' to our amazing hosts, Linda and Bill!

Quiet Escape

This place was great! It was beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need, both inside and outside! It is located down a very quiet, private drive which instantly makes you feel on vacation. The beautiful fire pit was great for relaxing after our hike and walk around the Highlands. The beds were so comfortable - I think we got the best sleep we’ve had in months! Linda was so helpful and quick to respond. We can’t wait to go back!

A 'Must Stay' Destination

My wife and I just returned from our third stay at NestleInn, and we have already confirmed our next reservation! The house is absolutely wonderful. It is extremely well appointed and offers all of the modern comforts and amenities one would expect to find in a property of this caliber. From heated bathroom floors, massive throws, and a kitchen outfitted for a chef, to comfortable lounge furniture (both inside and out), cozy gas firepit, and indoor gas fireplace... NestleInn provides the quintessential mountain experience. We especially look forward to breakfast on the back deck with that early morning cup of coffee to help take the chill out of a crisp fall morning. The covered front deck is absolutely perfect for a romantic dinner or evening cocktail. If you're planning on traveling to the high country, NestleInn is a 'must stay' destination!

Awesome Property

Where to begin. The home is stunning for a VRBO rental property. The pictures are exactly defining the home. The bathrooms have heated floors. There is an abundance of plates, cups, and glasses. The outside area was so nice to have evening drinks. The master bed was firm but comfortable. The linens were above average. In all the years of our travels we have never had a nicer place to stay. Linda is a perfect host. She knows the area and always responded in a short time. This was a 10-10 stay.

Perfect stay!

We loved our time at NestleInn. Linda was so responsive before our trip. She answered all of my questions, and had a super-thorough welcome packet for the house that covered everything we needed to know. Check-in was smooth, and Linda even made sure to leave the lights on for us in case we were late! The house itself is fantastic- we loved the porches (especially the swings and ring game!) and common areas. The kitchen is so well equipped- everything we needed for our meals and desserts was there. We loved the cinnamon rolls Linda left us- we saved them for our last morning and had a quiet breakfast enjoying the house for our last few hours. The location was also perfect- we felt super close to Highlands, but were far enough away to really feel “away from it all”. Thank you again, we’re already planning our next visit!

Exceptional!

Nestle Inn is a great retreat – we felt luxuriously comfortable! The views are amazing! Huge decks and so many extras! Great place for kids. So many games and things to keep them entertained. The whole house is updated, beautifully decorated and has such a warm feel. The beds are so comfy and the house is exceptional clean and well maintained. Linda is very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Nestle Inn - A Perfect Retreat!

We absolutely loved our mountain getaway to the Highland at NestleInn. Tucked away on quiet and serene Scaly Mtn this home is beautifully decorated with cozy bedding, warm fireplace and a firepit, and plenty of porch space for rocking, reading, and relaxing. The hosts Linda and Bill left the lights on for us when we arrived, cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast, and were a text away of we needed anything. We will be back. Our favorite place in the mountains so far!

Immaculate, cozy mountain house!

Oh my goodness! This place is just amazing! We went for a 3 day weekend with my baby and toddler and it was perfect. The location is amazing as it’s a super quick trip into highlands and not far from Clayton. The house was newly decorated, spotless and cozy! The beds and sheets were sooooo comfortable!!! We happened to visit on a really cold weekend but the floors in the master bath were heated which was a so nice! Linda was one of the best hosts- super responsive and hospitable! Came over twice to help me with something! The property was beautiful and you can even walk down to s pretty waterfall around the corner. I could go on! We would definitely stay here again.

NestleInn is wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay at NestleInn…what a beautiful VRBO rental. Very welcoming and relaxing…loved the gas fireplace! Linda checked on us several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. NestleInn is so beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds, and a great walk in shower! Everything about NestleInn is just like home. The area is just beautiful. We spent every day out and about…great shopping and delicious food. Everyone is so pleasant and welcoming. NestleInn is the place to stay!

We had a wonderful weekend! NestleInn is lovely! Linda thought of every detail- toiletries in the bathroom, cinnamon rolls in the freezer, coffee provided, games to play! The outdoor space was gorgeous, the house was perfectly clean. The bathroom floors were heated! Our children loved wandering around the yard and woods. We walked to a small waterfall down the road. Snow tubing was a few minutes down the road, and hikes just a short drive away! Everything was truly remarkable!

My husband and I love to get away for a mountain trip and we are soooo happy we picked NestleInn for our stay! The property is beautiful inside and out! It snowed while we were there and the huge windows were so gorgeous to look out and enjoy the snowfall! We explored Highlands while we were there and it was a super cute town! My wife and I rented out this property for a weekend get away and had to force ourselves to go out and explore the surrounding areas. The house was so comfy and perfect that we didn’t want to leave. Best of both worlds!

You can tell so much thought went in to creating Nestle inn. From the state of the art Wi-Fi extender to the heated bathroom floors this cabin is a gem for sure! My daughters loved the property, the games and we loved the kitchen! We will be back for sure.

Beautiful Cabin

NestleInn is an amazing house that is beautifully decorated. It truly had everything that we needed for a much-needed break from work and the holidays. The heated floors in the bathroom were amazing and the owners were incredibly accommodating and responsive. My daughter LOVED the cinnamon rolls that were left for us in the freezer. Definitely follow the owner's directions as we made the mistake of following Google maps. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we'd love to come back one day soon!

This is the nicest mountain home in which we have stayed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our almost Christmas here at Nestle Inn! “Almost” is because the temps dropped to -2F and a wind chill of -25F! You know, a typical NC winter. I jest…our pipes froze and we had to check out early, but it was a fantastic experience. The owners, Bill and Linda are incredible folks. They were uber responsive and hospitable and even had ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls in the fridge for us upon arrival! The home itself is gorgeous! Well-appointed and newly renovated in the summer of 2021. One of the most comfortable beds in which I’ve slept. The decor, materials, countertops, everything is top notch. We hope to return soon. Private deck and amazing stars at night (thanks to The Almighty). Loved our time here and will be back!!!

The listing for NestleInn was what originally caught our attention as well as the location from Highlands Outpost and other activities. We arrived after a very long day of travel and were taken aback and just how beautiful NestleInn was! The property is absolutely gorgeous as well as the house. It was beyond what we were expecting in every way possible! Linda was so helpful from the minute we completed our rental to the end of our stay. We cannot recommend NestleInn more!!! We loved Nestle Inn!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The property is beautiful and secluded from the problems of the world. We were instantly hooked to Nestle Inn the moment we opened the door. Great place for a couple to relax and enjoy nature. Linda and Bill are lovely hosts. I forgot my toothbrush but Nestle Inn provided a basket of necessities that included anything you would need. We honestly loved everything about our stay and cannot wait to return.

My husband, Bill, and I lived in Atlanta for most of our adult lives and in 2004 bought a mountain home on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau in Scaly Mountain. We spent most weekends escaping city life and over the years we started spending more and more time in the mountains. In 2018 we sold our Atlanta house and now live in Scaly Mountain full time. We bought our next-door neighbor's house in the mountains in December 2020 and after 6 months of renovation, it became NestleInn. We look forward to sharing our little piece of paradise with you.
