Three Sisters Log Cabin is an elegant, private, 1840's log cabin that happens to be one of only a few surviving two story log cabins along Virginia's scenic and world-renowned Blue Ridge Parkway. The only Virginia property featured in, "The Top 100 Most Beautiful Rustic Vacation Properties in North America," Three Sisters Log Cabin is truly an unusual find and one that the discriminating guest will find themselves keeping secret - and sharing only with a few close friends.

Surrounded by towering rhododendrons, thickets of mountain laurel and a forest carpet of wild ginger, trillium and wintergreen, the cabin is secluded - some would say remote - and perfectly peaceful. the cabin's split rail fence separates the mountain hollow from the wilderness beyond, where just down the winding road you can find Crabtree Falls, Spy Rock, Wintergreen Resort and the mysterious Appalachian Trail. Three Sisters is within about 30 minutes driving of 4 different waterfalls!

Three Sisters has been meticulously restored. The wood-burning stove is the focal point of the cabin's original log great room. The picture windows of the post and beam kitchen and bath seem to let the outdoors inside. The original log bedroom boasts a QUEEN-size bed and two TWIN beds. Sleeps 4. The hot tub is just outside the kitchen door on the fieldstone terrace and to the left of the cabin there is a sauna complete with changing room and its own fieldstone terrace.

Cleaning fee includes Three Sisters Log Cabin, the separate sauna cabin and the hot tub.

Note: NO pets, smoking, vaping, or illegal drugs are permitted. There will be a fee for anyone breaking the rules.
There are security cameras on site; however absolutely none are directed towards the cabin, hot tub, fire pit or sauna. There are also security motion detectors in our home. There are NO cameras in our home, sauna or directed to any outdoor guest areas.

So glad we chose this stay

Picking a 1800s log cabin stretched our comfort zone, but so happy we did as it exceeded our expectations, blending a beautiful restoration of yesteryear with no shortage of modern amenities. The hot tub and sauna were icing on the cake after great day trips in the Blue Ridge mountains. Now our #1 vrbo adventure!

Above & Beyond

I have rented quite a few cabins in Virginia and this is the absolute pinnacle! Exceptional experience from start to finish, with great communication and information about the property and how to get there. The cabin is immaculate, with layers of history and modern amenities. A real GAS range for cooking, plus the cleanest hot tub I've ever used! Cannot wait to stay again!

We absolutely loved staying at the Three Sisters Cabin! The property was pristine and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. We ended the weekend with getting engaged and I could not imagine a more perfect location to be proposed to! I am already looking forward to our next stay!

Cannot say enough about our stay at 3 Sisters cabin! From the charm of the cabin itself to the nature that surrounds it to the hot tub and sauna…..so relaxing and calming! Relaxing Weekend Away!

We went away for the weekend to celebrate my Mom's birthday, this was our first experience with a vacation rental in this form and it could not have been better! We loved the area and the uniqueness of our stay. It was very relaxing and comforting to stay here. Our host was very kind from beginning to end and even checked in to make sure we made it safely! There is so much thought that went into this cabin with preserving the history as well as adding spa like touches. There were also a lot of helpful suggestions provided by our host about what else was in the area! We are very much looking forward to coming back again!

Another magical stay

Three sisters is the best of all worlds; authentic historical log cabin married with charm and luxury. We enjoyed a remote private location with all the rustic charm of an 1840’s log cabin, but with Keurig coffees, classic steam/ sauna ( steps from the cabin) and a hot tub where you can kick back and look at endless stars. Heavenly! Owner is great- so helpful with any need. Recommend highly!

Three Sisters has become an annual trip for us. Each year gets better. The addition of the dry sauna this year is a huge plus! As with everything else, this was added with amazing attention to detail and comfort. Couldn’t recommend this property more highly.

A mountain jewel!

We so appreciated the fabulous attention to detail that makes this mountain cabin so special. Perfect location for enjoying hikes on the Blue Ridge, Crabtree Falls, or for just getting away from it all. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped, the beds were super comfy, the sauna and hot tub were so relaxing, and the grounds were beautiful. Have stayed at many VRBO’s but this ranks at the top for the care that has been put into making a stay memorable.

AMAZING!!!

The Three Sisters cabin is a spectacular place to get away from the noise of life and refresh. Everything was taken care of, from the amazingly stocked kitchen to the fire pit to the hot tub. The place is clean, quiet, and inviting. Our host kept in touch with us at many points along the way, including letting us know of potential storms and even a meteor shower we were fortunate to see. It's a true gem!

A magical place!

All of the comforts of home in this 200 year old cabin! We also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The inside was cozy and comfortable. Although we didn’t use the wood stove, it would be a plus on a colder night. We stopped at 12 Ridges Vineyard on the way in, then grabbed some huge burgers from a little place called Gertie’s. Crabtree Falls is right down the road, and the Natural Bridge and Safari Park are only 35 miles away. We can’t wait to return!

This place was so magical, it almost felt unreal. You could picture all the beauty of the past on this property while embracing the magic of the moment. 7 min away from crabtree falls which was absolutely breathtaking. Enjoyed the privacy and the hot tub and fire pit. Loved the open windows in the kitchen and bathroom, made you feel like you were still outside. They have complimentary touches all through out the cabin making your stay comfortable and such an easy getaway. Host was more than attentive and will def be back to stay in the future 🥰🥰🥰

Magical, Therapeutical, & Unique

Such a special place. I wish I could give it a 5+++ . We have stayed at many VRBO’s and loved Three Sisters so much all we could talk about was how soon can we come back. Monica is such a considerate, responsive host who has provided so much detailed info on the history of this cabin as well as the fun spots in the area to visit. We climbed Crabtree Falls, Sky Rock (amazing 360 view), visited breweries, soaked in the hot tub, relaxed in the sauna and sat by the fire to play board games. I honestly can’t put into words how much we enjoyed our stay.

We are honored to be the custodians of 3 Sisters Pre-Civil War Log Cabin. Story goes that the logs the cabin was built from date back to the mid-1700's. The cabin was originally built by a family of German immigrants in 1840. The millstone that graces the front step was likely brought over from England as ballast on a ship.
