A lovely holiday in a beautiful setting!
We were very pleased that we chose this property! The site is beautiful, with views from the bungalow terrace to the sea, with the mountains of the other side of the Gulf beyond. There was a nightingale singing in the bushes nearby. The photos of the accommodation don't do it justice, the interior was modern, bright and spotlessly clean. The terraces front and back had modern wooden furniture and were shaded. The whole site was clean and well-kept, and the swimming pool large. The owners, George and his mother Sonia, were friendly and helpful. We had a hire car and in an hour we were in Athens; in two hours Delphi. Nearby was a pretty beach at Sessi, interesting ruins at Ramnous and Amphiarion, and we enjoyed visiting the sites at Marathon. A three-minute walk along the road in one direction took us to the local bread shop and vegetable shop; in the other direction to an excellent souvlaki restaurant and takeaway. At the harbour the fishermen sold their fish straight from the boats in the morning and on Monday there was a local market. There were two good supermarkets near the harbour and plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. We would highly recommend it!
