The property has a large dock with a swim ladder; attached to a large covered deck, that offers shade from the sun while enjoying the spectacular marsh views and a fire table. The house has been recently renovated and updated with new appliances. After a long day at the beach, rinse-off in the enclosed, hot-water, outdoor shower before enjoying happy hour on the covered deck at the end of the pier. Enjoy grilling (gas grill provided) and outdoor dining on the decks with incredible views. TV, cable, high-speed Internet. Two kayaks (2 single) are available for use.
What should you bring? Its a waterfront location, so bring all of the toys e.g. kayaks, fishing rods, crab traps, water floats, umbrellas, beach chairs. For land-lovers, bring your bikes and sport equipment to utilized the multiple recreation area's on 7 mile island!
Stone Harbors famous beaches are a 30 minute walk or 7 minute drive from the house. Quaint shops and lovely restaurants are a 20 minute walk into town. The Wetlands Institute where children can enjoy many wildlife programs and touch animals in the live feeding tanks; adults can view the nearby nesting osprey, take back bay boat rides and enjoy lectures about the Wetlands is a short distance down the road. Cape May, an historic Victorian town, is a 20 minute drive south on the Garden State Parkway. Visit the Zoo, a 10 minute drive north on the Garden State Parkway. Take the kids to enjoy a day of amusement rides and water parks at the Wildwood boardwalk, 20 minutes south (rides appropriate for children ages 3+). Follow on Instagram @backbaygetaway.
