Pet Friendly & A Minute From Prominence Pool, Sleeps 8: Thinking of the Sea

Thinking of the Sea is a beautiful, modern townhome located in the family friendly community of Prominence. This pet friendly home will make the perfect relaxing getaway for your family (or multiple families). The main level includes the open concept kitchen, living and dining areas with laundry and a convenient half bath. Up the stairs you'll find the 3 bedrooms in the home. The kids will love the bunk room!

In the living area curl up on the comfortable sofa to plan the day or catch up on your favorite TV shows. There's even a desk in this main area in case you have to squeeze in a few minutes of remote work.

The kitchen is built for entertaining with the large center island with seating for 4. The chef in the family will be happy to cook up a vacation feast on the gas stovetop with plenty of surrounding counterspace. Enjoy your home cooked meal (or takeout!) on the dining table. Head out on the patio for your morning cup of coffee.

Sleeping Arrangements - 2nd Floor:
Bedroom 1: Twin-over-twin bunk beds, TV.
Bedroom 2: Queen bed, TV.
Bedroom 3: King bed, TV. Private bathroom with large shower and dual vanities

Great place for a Family!
This home exceeded our expectations! We were a little nervous as previous reviews had some concerns with the cleanliness, but the place was perfect! Our kids loved the bunk room and we all enjoyed the amenities of the neighborhood and home. The management company was great to work with and helped us out with questions and even extending our stay as we were having such a good time. 10/10 would stay here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were extremely pleased with our overall experience at this property and with Benchmark Management personnel. The location was excellent (across from The Hub/Big Chill, quiet, not busy). Although we never used the pool or fitness center, they were as advertised and very convenient. The property was clean and appeared to be properly maintained. One item we did discuss with a maintenance person when he was replacing light bulbs we discovered were burnt out was how long it took to get hot water at the kitchen sink. He explained it was a function of the tankless hot water heater's location from our unit. The property manager was very responsive when we brought light bulb issue to their attention and on one occasion when the TVs quit working. We took advantage of the The Hub on numerous occasions to enjoy drinks and snacks in front of the big screen (especially when our hometown Kansas City Chiefs were playing). Proximity to Deer Creek State Park and the beach was very convenient and frequented often during our stay. Although we didn't eat out much (took advantage of the kitchen to prepare most of our meals) we did try a few spots in Alys Beach (Raw & Juicy and Fonville Press) and Rosemary Beach (La Crema). Raw & Juicy and La Crema were very good. The central location (max. 2 hour drive) to attractions such as Apalachicola and Pensacola was beneficial. We went to both towns and enjoyed the quaintness of Apalachicola and the National Naval Aviation Museum. We were disappointed that we didn't get to see the Blue Angels as they are stationed in SoCal during the winter. All in all we had a very good time during our stay and would definitely recommend the property to family and friends.

Hello! This was our second time to stay at this property. It was great. I could tell that the rugs, couch and walls have seen some wear and tear - the couch is stained and rugs look dirty. There was also dirty pots and pans in the cubboards, soda spilled on the cabinents, and an empty coke bottle under the bed. I would suggest finding a new cleaning crew! Thanks!

Great Location and Cute Property but needs work on Cleanliness
The location of this house was fabulous and the house itself was so cute but unfortunately it was not clean in some areas. The bathrooms were clean but the floors throughout the entire house were absolutely filthy. We had to wear shoes the entire time we were inside because the floors were turning our feet black. There were dirty glasses put back in the cabinets in the kitchen and the rugs were absolutely filthy and sticky…. As well as the couch! I do recommend this property because overall we enjoyed our stay but they really need to step it up with the cleaning. There are tons of reviews about the cleanliness of this property.

Great but needs improvements

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Very spacious and had pretty much everything we needed. Only thing I felt was lacking was hand soap downstairs- none for the kitchen or half bathroom. I also saw the other complaints about the dirty floors- unfortunately this is true. They clearly don’t mop the floors and the rugs are absolutely filthy. Our feet were black anytime we walked around the house. Downstairs furniture could also use an upgrade- you could tell the couch was worn and dirty and the two arm chairs are super stiff and uncomfortable. Kitchen was sufficient for what we needed for the week, but it comes with zero essentials like oil, salt and pepper, etc. so just be prepared for that. I loved that the unit was walking distance to the pool and Big Chill. Fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again, but it definitely needs some easy improvements.

Relax time needed
The overall property was great for our group. Very disappointed to find the pull out couch cover had stains. The floor under the pull out area had trash and dust. The washing machine stained a pair of shorts with what looked like rust stains. The door knobs to the master closet were broken and the garbage disposal needed attention. I will say once it was reported the maintence part of the issues were fixed the same day.

The home itself is spacious, great location and good for families with kids! The only negatives we had is the kitchen didn’t have much to use for cooking like pans, utensils for cooking etc. And the overall condition of the home showed signs of wear and tear, dirty walls and floors and dirty couch. That needs to be addressed. But overall we were happy with the location and spacious rooms.

The kitchen has minimal equipment and no extras (salt & pepper were nowhere to be found and cooking a spaghetti dinner proved challenging with lack of equipment). The location was ideal, close to the pool and right across the street from the big chill. Beds were soft but comfortable. We did have a few minor inconveniences with a clogged toilet and broken bed frame in master bedroom. The bed frame was met with much more urgency than the plumbing issue (which we resolved ourselves) by the management team. The unit was fairly clean, but the floors were not mopped and left your feet dirty if walking barefoot.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was nicely appointed but was in need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. We left the home cleaner than we found it. There was feces on the baseboard of the Master bath next to a toilet plunger, the box springs in the middle bedroom are worn out and numerous lights in that room were out. The outlet cover in the hall bath kept falling of and there were clumps of dust on the mirror and pictures. The garage door is in need of lubricant. It sounds horrible. The facility was advertised to have barbecues available to use. Only one of them worked. If the pool was closed because of weather, you could not access the barbecue nor the workout room. I contacted Benchmark about the barbecues and they said they would look into it but did nothing. You will note the the issues I bring up are small ones but definitely important

Needs a little more emphasis on comfort
Beds were not the best..mattress toppers would do a lot for comfort. Master bedroom top windows have no blinds or curtains that close so sun blares in at sunrise which is not what you want while on vacation. Could use a full length mirror. Otherwise house is great!

Great Location!
The location of this property is perfect. So convenient, to the shops and restaurants across the street. The pool is awesome for families, we really enjoyed it. Some negatives unfortunately if I’m being honest…the kitchen is severely ill equipped, and what is there does not meet the caliber of the home. And then the two large area rugs and couch are in need of some serious cleaning. The walls are also pretty beat up and in need of some attention. Over all it’s a great place and we enjoyed ourselves immensely, it just needs some TLC.

The unit is very comfortable. The third bedroom (bunk room) is not suitable for older children or adults, but we made it work when there were guests a few nights. The tv in the main bedroom wouldn’t work but I did not report it to the management company because it wasn’t all that important to me. Love the location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, the house was dirty. The dishwasher was broke upon arrival and had stagnant water in dishwasher. I contacted management on Sunday and no one even came to check or try to fix until Thursday evening. The entire week we had to smell of stagnant water throughout the living and kitchen area. The house was not clean and dirty bathrooms. It was not equipped to cook family meals. I did love the neighborhood and location along with the pool and The Chill across the street. I'm sure there are better rentals in the area. I will mention my sister in law rented the same week from same management company and had similar issues with cleanliness of their home.

We stayed during the 4th of July week. We had a great trip. House was mostly Clean (could tell the cleaning company hadnt vacuumed throughly) House is decorated cute! Beds were VERY comfortable and outside area around the complex were tidy! If you want a good place to try near blue mountain to eat is the “local catch” great food! We hit “the hub” across the street for ice cream and delicious bbq. We def enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year!

Perfect location, beautiful home and interior decor.
Absolutely perfect location. So pleased with the house. The carpets and fabric furniture needs to be shampooed. They were noticeably dirty from high traffic but the home was so adorable. Also the google address needs to be changed it does not take you to the correct location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This stay did not go well. There was what appeared to be dog pee on the floor. Outlet covers off with copper exposed. Your feet will be jet black from filthy floors if you walk barefoot. The couch is stained and dirty. The rugs are disgusting. Cookware in dire need of replacing. Let benchmark know about everything and they sent someone to fix the outlet covers - but nothing else. They deferred to priperty managers that never cared to get in touch.
