The Copper Fox Mountain Home is a bright and cozy 3 story home with a wonderful wall of windows to watch the sunrise or snow falling. Having 2 living areas and 2 kitchens, it gives just the right amount of space to gather as a group or to have some time to yourself in another part of the home. It is the perfect area to have an adventurous vacation or a place to relax and decompress with the family.
The location is fantastic and easy to get to on the paved roads and driveway. It is just 2.5 miles to Franklin’s Historical Main Street. Here you will find the town square for celebrations and fairs, cute little restaurants, hiking, vintage shopping, a farmer’s market on Saturdays and a fabulous bakery. There are also plenty of food stores and a Walmart within a few miles for the necessities.
When you arrive, be sure to check to see if there are any deer or bunnies in the backyard. The home has two separate decks and a gas grill for cookouts. Each of the two full kitchens have all the essentials you will need for your stay. The main floor consists of the family room, gas fireplace, kitchen, master bedroom (king-sized bed), washer and dryer and a nice whirlpool tub to soak in after a long day of hiking. The top floor has a queen bed a full bathroom and a semiprivate loft with a futon (double). The bottom floor consists of a family room, kitchen, dining table, two full bathrooms, a full-sized bed, a set of twin beds and its own private entrance and deck. Trash service is provided as well.
There are many things to do in the area within a quick beautiful drive. Some would include:
Franklin Golf – at the base of the mountain.
The Factory – arcade games, laser tag, go cart, mini golf and food.
Waterfalls – This would include Dry Falls, Bridal Falls, and numerous others along the way to Highlands.
Swimming holes – Bust Your Butt Falls, Sliding Rock.
Tubing down the Tuskegee River in Dillsboro.
The famous Dillard House is just 18 miles away.
Vintage shopping – Just about everywhere.
Helen Georgia – 55 miles -A cute little German town, great day trip and tubing.
Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Excursions in Bryson City.
Great hiking, hiking and more hiking.
Wayah Bald – 19 miles. Drive all the way to the top with spectacular views of surrounding mountains and hike a portion of the Appalachian trail. Bring your camera and binoculars!
Asheville is just an hour away. Great little town with lots of shopping and restaurants.
Cataloochee Ski Resort and Tube World is a little over an hour away.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is close by and offers scenic views any time of year.
Smokey Mountains National Park is a scenic drive away.
Nantahala White Water Rafting and ziplining.
