Two weeks in Waikiki.

Great location with plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The beach and lagoon are a short five to ten minute walk away. Beautiful beach and marina view from the lanai. The lanai is great for having your morning coffee and watching the evening sunset. Nice fireworks at the lagoon on Friday nights. Chris and Kiersten were great to work with and went the extra mile with our late checkout.

Wow!

We can’t say enough about Oceanfront Ilikai. This condo is open, airy and plenty spacious for 2 …or more. The condo is well-appointed with everything you can think of for a stay at Waikiki…beach chairs, noodles, cooler, yoga mat, snorkels, extra balcony seating. I was especially thankful for two luggage racks (most rentals seem to forget luggage racks) and the parking option. We both found the mattress to be very, very comfortable. I should also mention there is great closet space, extra towels and pillows for those who have a longer stay.We were all over Waikiki …walking, beaching, dining, shopping and this was the perfect location. Our friends who were staying at the Holiday Inn visited us for drinks and loved the condo as well.Our communication with the owner Chris was excellent—all instructions were spot on and timely. Thank you to Chris and Keirsten for a wonderful vacation…wish we could have stayed longer!

Location is great

Location was great. The unit and building were tired. The pool was OK, sometimes towels weren't available. The vents in the bathroom were full of dust and debris. The kitchen was fine, and my husband and I cooked a lot, especially on this vacation, when eating out and food was very expensive. The oven itself was awful and runs VERY hot. The stove top was fine, takes a bit to get used to with push buttons rather than a more modern approach. Everything was just a little bit dirty. I was afraid the closet doors were going to fall off each time I opened them. The "futon" bed was definitely not a queen (my husband and I sleep on a queen bed every night at home. I'm guessing it was a full. It was sufficient for a 12 year old, but would not recommend for anyone older. And more storage would have been appreciated. The saving grace was the location. However, the hosts were accommodating and got us extra supplies, as what was provided was insufficient for our stay. ie: There are no dispensers for bathroom products as I have found in other rentals, and the dish soap would have been just enough for your coffee mugs and not much more. This is an instance of photos somewhat representing what the actuality is.

The Sunset is the best

This location is absolutely the best. It overlooks the marina and the Sunset is amazing. If you are looking for a fabulous place- in the heart of Waikiki- you can’t go wrong. Keirsten and Chris are excellent to work with - great communication which made our stay the best.

Deferred maintenance, cleaning issues

Unfortunately, this unit suffers from significant deferred maintenance and cleaning issues. The kitchen and bathroom flooring, which were not shown in the listing photos, are in poor condition—decayed and visibly dirty, with mold buildup near the shower, toilet, and along the edges of the kitchen cabinets. The front of the refrigerator is rusting, and the kitchen cabinets are musty with an unpleasant odor.Regarding cleanliness, the unit was far from satisfactory. There was a noticeable buildup of dust on the numerous fake flowers scattered throughout. The shower head had visible mold, and the shower door contained significant mold and debris. The cleaning crew did not adequately prepare the unit before my long stay. There was soap scum left in the soap dispenser, a vodka bottle in the bathroom drawer, and, shockingly, they left the unit door unlocked. Additionally, the lanai had not been swept, and the outdoor table was dirty.Guests are asked to limit air conditioning use, yet the only blanket provided was a thick one suited for a Minnesota winter, with no alternatives available.While the parking and the view were excellent, the poor maintenance and lack of attention to cleanliness ruined our experience. My family stayed in a different unit at the Illikai, which was in excellent condition, leaving no excuse for the state of this one.

Perfect location

This rental was just as advertised. We loved the convenient location and spent most of our time when we were at the rental sitting on the Lanai. The parking space was a bonus and worked very well. Great communication with the owner.

Appartement parfait Bien situé et simple d’accès Belle vue sur la mer Grand lit très agréable Chris est un hôte très agréable et disponible. Pour les environs, grand centre commercial à proximité "Ala Moana Center" on trouve pour des petites courses un "ABC Store" juste en face. Des commerces sont également dans l'immeuble. Great views and value!

My wife and I stayed a week and felt right at home. Great location as a base for exploration around Waikiki and the Island. Rented a car for the week and the added parking spot and elevator direct to floor was very helpful and easy in and out with the provided access card. Great sunset views from the 15th floor. Highly recommended!

Ilikai Condo - Waikiki

My wife and I make the Labor Day Holiday weekend our annual “staycation” weekend. The accommodations provided by Chris and Kiersten did not disappoint. The unit was clean, tastefully decorated, convenient all while providing incredible sunset views from the lanai. Our hosts were super and communicated with us perfectly. We highly recommend them and their property!

Nice location owned by nice people

Overall, this worked out well for us. We were able to walk where we wanted to go. The owners did an excellent job giving directions for checkin/out and responded quickly to questions. We did not use the kitchen because we didn't need to. Both bathroom and kitchen need updating. The free, secure parking was a nice perk!

This property is the best location - close enough to walk downtown, but not in the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Great view from the balcony. Clean and well kept. Had everything we needed. Owners are fantastic. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Amazing views without a drain on the bank account

Looking for a stay in paradise without signing over your firstborn? Though not directly on Waikiki Beach, this property is just a hop, skip, and a coconut's throw from the beach (You can walk there). In addition, it is within walking distance of many of the wonderful restaurants as well as about 30 minutes (traffic is a beast) from Pearl Harbor and other great tourist attractions. Best of all, you can have beachfront luxury without the beachfront price tag—think half the cost of those fancy neighbors. The balcony views? Simply breathtaking. Picture this: your morning coffee with the ocean playing peekaboo through the palm trees, and the sun setting like it’s auditioning for a postcard. Oh, and did I mention there’s parking included? A rare find in these parts—no need to sell a kidney for a parking spot. Most importantly for us Floridians, there was air conditioning in the room. It does take it a bit to cool off to our liking but it was comfortable. In short, this property has the location, the views, and the wallet-friendly vibe. If you want Waikiki magic without the Waikiki price, this is the spot. Aloha, savings! 🌴

Place clean, included extras such as beach chairs, umbrellas, coffee.i loved there was a small ladder so it was easier to get into bed. I am short! Parking was a great option! Great to have laundry available on same floor and Chris left laundry pods and dryer sheets.Bed very comfortable, towels nice and plenty available! Clean, pretty cozy condo with beautiful harbor view. We had a rainbow over the harbor almost every morning when having a breakfast on balcony🌈. The owner was caring and helpful with good communication. The condo is located between Ala moana shopping center and waikiki shopping area. We had a rental car and the place is convenient to go out with free parking. It is much quieter than than center of waikiki beach and you can enjoy the pool and Hilton lagoon in just a few min walk. We’d like to come back soon!

Great View

The view is amazing. Getting in was easy with clear instructions from owner. The parking pass was so valuable. The room is well stocked with a few games, books, beach towels and chairs. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking but it looked like it had lots of helpful utensils etc. However, if you're looking for updated spacious kitchen area, though this might be functional, this isn't updated or spacious. Because we didn't plan on cooking meals, it was fine for us. I found the lockbox for the parking fob difficult to open, but then I'm old. Nice hotel/resort area as well. I gave this a 4 for cleanliness because I'm a neat freak and always feel there is room for improvement. Overall, we had a great week here.

I commute between the Mariana Islands and Hawaii and am actively involved in travel and tourism. I own a small tv production company that produces news and travel segments, and I also founded and operate an adventure travel business that has locations on Saipan and Guam. We do really fun activities that include hiking, mountain biking, zip lining, ATV Riding, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, and Go Karting. I love ocean sports, beach volleyball, soccer, tennis, and baseball.

I love staying here, it's right on the water and easy to paddle to out to some of the best breaks on the south shore. Tennis and volleyball are nearby at Ala Moana Beach Park and everything is within walking or biking distance. The Ilikai has a lot of charm, and it's great to have a kitchen, a direct ocean view, the safety, security and cleanliness of a well managed hotel and still be in Waikiki. Hope you like it as much as I do.

When you walk in the unit, the ocean view always takes my breath away and I love looking at the waves out front and all of the boats in the yacht harbor. Sunsets here are pretty special and with boats coming and going no two are ever the same. It's great being on the ocean side of Ala Moana Boulevard as you can be in the water in a couple of minutes without driving and it's very easy to walk to just about anywhere. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby as well as Foodland Farms grocery store (inside Ala Moana Shopping Center) which has great local produce, fresh bread, poke, and lots of gourmet items. The kitchen is well equipped and you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner right out on the lanai overlooking the water, with a better view than just about any restaurant in Oahu. The 15th floor is really the sweet spot.....incredible views and you can still hear the ocean and island music from below.
