Deschutes Forest Lodge - A beautiful Estate in the Woods - but still close to downtown Bend!

Entering the grounds, the house is set far back from the road. There is a 2 car garage, with an EV Charger, and plenty of off street parking in the driveway. Entering the house you will find a large open main level, the great room features a glass garage door that opens up for indoor outdoor living, and in winter provides a wonderful view, as well as letting in lots of natural light. There is also a half bath off the Great Room. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with all manner of pots, pans, baking pans, cutting boards, etc... There is a pantry with an extra refrigerator, and also holds extra pots and pans and serving items, as well as a plethora of small kitchen appliances. Additionally there is a large refrigerator and a large freezer, as well as a Viking Range with 6 burners. Plenty of seating - in the Great Room, and in the kitchen at the island or the large Dining Table. There is also a designated office work space, with a printer and a desktop for guests use. The Main Suite is also on this level, for those who may not want to do stairs. This area features a King Bedroom with a desk area, a large walk in closet and a large master bath, with a tub and walk in shower and two vanities (the walk in shower has a bench seat as well). Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 2 Kings size, 1 Queen and a Bunk room. Each set of rooms shares a bath and shower combo. Each room has it's own mini walk in closet. Down the hall you will find a large game room, with Ping Pong and Foosball, a game table and a TV, and a half bath. This room also has a bar area, with a mini fridge. Also upstairs is a Laundry Room with a Washer and Dryer. There is a large patio area with a fire pit and a hot tub, along with a BBQ, and many yard games and lots of seating, when weather permits. There is a large outdoor dining table under a covered porch area, and a large grassy area for the games.

Weddings and large events are not allowed at this home - the home is in a quiet community - so if you are looking for a party pad - this is probably not the house for you.

What an amazing property. The pictures did not do this property justice... It was better than expected! Everything was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great place

Perfect home with lots of space and room for activities away from the city and neighbors not too close. You get what you pay for. Very clean and organized and depending on your party a house you don’t need to leave! Great kitchen for cooking and added pantry and fridge for storage. 10/10 with very comfortable relaxed vibes. It won’t disappoint.

Winter family reunion

The house has an outstanding architectural design and superb execution of interior design. Massive kitchen refrigerator and second fridge in the pantry. Pro level stove and oven. Plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Great living room to converse and the table was big enough for all of the adults to sit together for meals. Heated floor in the master bathroom was amazing. Garage door in the living room was an awesome idea. Individual hvac units made temperature Individualization possible. The little things also made a difference like having sleds and games available, gave us a variety of activities to engage in. The outdoor fire pit and hot tube are also nice amenities. The guest book and numerous instruction cards were also quite helpful. We have a few suggestions to make improvements for the future but by no means diminish our rating of this stay. Updating the matrices is one that we all thought would be appreciated by all. The masterbath shower drained very slow so maybe some attention there. Additional towels in the master bath as well. The stove also kicked out the breaker so not sure what's going on there but might check on that and one of the burners, second from the right in the back, had an igniter that would continue to click even after having had been lit for some time. Again, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The house had many amazing features and we hope to rebook for the summer. Thank you.

Family time for the holiday

We had a wonderful time staying over the Christmas holiday. The home is large and spacious. We enjoyed football on the large TV, a few dips in the hot tub, ruthless games of foosball and Ping-Pong, not to mention a puzzle or two. The home is on a quiet road but minutes from everything. There is even a quiet little walking trail close by. We even borrowed a couple of the house bikes for a cruise down the road. Fabulous time was had by all!

Everything about the house was great. Lots of space and plenty of toys/games around the property to keep everyone entertained. 10 minute drive/Uber to downtown Bend and central to plenty of hikes and attractions. Host was a great communicator.

Exceptional Home and Communication

It was our Family Reunion 2023 and everyone from 10 months to 68 years were very comfortable here. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Jarrid took great strides toward making our stay perfect. There were lots of fun yard games and we enjoyed wine and s’mores around the fire pit. Inside we had game tables and board games to help entertain us. The kitchen is a cook’s dream. Baby gates and high chair came in very handy. Beds and linens were cozy after days of hiking, brewery hopping, shopping and family fun. This property is a treat.

Bend Castle, fantastic week!

Amazing property and looks even better in person. Plenty of room for our annual high end trip. Outdoor area with the fire pit is awesome for hanging out grilling and games. Great for large groups or multiple families. Just a 10 minute drive from downtown but totally worth it. You won’t want to leave!

Best Stocked Kitchen Ever!

From the prompt email responses, to the email from the maintenance manager there to take care of us upon our arrival, to the best stocked kitchen we've ever had, to the four deer that came to eat in the yard each morning, this was a perfect vacation home. Very comfortable for our large group with enough seating in the living room and dining room - that doesn't often happen. They even had baby items so we didn't have to rent. It is a gorgeous property with privacy from the neighbors. We went over Christmas and the owner even supplied Christmas tree decorations! We loved the home and definitely would go back. If I had a complaint it would be that it wasn't in town but it's a short drive. I loved being there in the winter but I'll bet the property is at it's best in the summer when one can enjoy the amazing outdoors surrounding it.

Perfect 70th Birthday Weekend for Mom

We rented this house in an effort to make my mom’s 70th birthday a special one. She knew we were renting a house but had no idea it was this gorgeous manson until she arrived, where she also learned we had several of her friends also staying. My sister brought her two kiddos and they both brought a couple of friends for their first ever sleep overs. We cooked in the exhibition kitchen, BBQ’d, watched movies and played games that were available…cornhole and badmitton, used the hot tub frequently. On the last day, as we were packing up to leave, my mom told me it was the best birthday she had ever had. Mission accomplished! We will never forget the family memories from the weekend we spent in this home. I would recommend this property to anyone planning a special stay.

Our 4 night stay was wonderful. The property is located in a wooded neighborhood with lots of room between homes, so although it is close to town, it seems as if it’s very secluded. The home is spacious and luxurious, and very well outfitted with everything you might need.

This home is a fantastic place to vacation with extended family or large group of friends!!

My husband and I along with 3 grown daughters one daughter's boyfriend and two grandchildren had a fantastic week here. The place is large enough that we never felt crowded and had plenty of space for everyone!! The outside play area an equipment along with the game room was plenty of entertainment for all. Cooking was wonderful in the large kitchen along with the grill and outside eating area. There is so much to do in the Bend area also. I would HIGHLY recommend this property for any group of family or friends!!

Amazing house and property

The layout of the house was awesome. The space for the kitchen and living area was well thought out and great for large parties. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. Fun Times In Oregon

Deschutes River Woods. What can I add that the previous posters have not already touched upon. The pictures truly don’t do the home justice. My only regret was not staying longer. Things to do, we barely scratched the surface with corn-hole, hot tubbing and fire pit time. We didn’t get to enjoy the front yard swing, horseshoes, game room (foosball and table tennis) the bikes and scooters in the garage and the list goes on. My sister (in from Boston) wanted to pack up the gourmet kitchen and take it home. We enjoyed movies and popcorn in the great room. If the weather had been better we’d have had the garage door / rolling door up to let the outside in. Book a stay, you will not be disappointed!

There are so many opportunities for fun things to do in Bend and the surrounding areas. There is the river of course, and skiing at Mt. Bachelor or Hoodoo, and so many beautiful hikes. There is also a pretty nice food scene and lots of breweries to visit! So much to see and do in this great area.

Our property is unique in the sense that it is just outside of the Bend city limits, but is close enough to still be super accessible to town. The grounds are larger than most other vacation rentals, because of the fact that it isn't within the city limits. So it affords privacy, and space. There are other homes around, so we still ask guests to be considerate and observe the quiet hours.
