The Ultimate Family Getaway at Dolan Creek Farm for 10!

Gather your family and close friends to enjoy the beauty, tranquility and privacy of two discrete accommodations. Your family will have access to both, A Suite at Dolan Creek Farm (2 guests) and The Lodge at Dolan Creek (8 guests across 3 bedrooms). Have the parents and Kids in the main house and let the grandparents enjoy the quiet privacy of the adjacent detached suite.

The Lodge was completely renovated from to to bottom in 2021. Every surface was updated. The result is a perfect environment for a family getaway, work retreat, or small celebration. Each room has both heat and AC. Every bed is lovingly made with 400 thread count cotton sheets and extra pillows. The kitchen is a cooks dream. KitchenAid mixer, blender, serving platters and plenty of stemware to set a lovely table. The gracious table is large enough to seat all 10 guests.

The Lodge is complete with:
*Primary King bedroom with private attached 3/4 bath
*Second King bedroom shares the full hall bath with the bunk room
*Third bedroom has 2 sets of twin bunk beds
*Central large great room
*Large open kitchen/dining room combo. Seats 10

The Suite is complete with:
*Detached, adjacent studio suite with King bed
*Attached 3/4 private bath
*Kitchenette with full size fridge, microwave, hot plate and washer/dryer

Farm retreat
We loved how quiet and peaceful the location was, tucked into the center of the working farm. The house was spacious, and had the best appointed kitchen I have ever been in. We loved the views and the ability to gather in a variety of places (outside, the dining room, living room). It was truly spectacular.

Oregon Magic
We've rented many vacation homes over the years, here in the United States as well as in Europe and Mexico. This was by far the absolute best. The home itself is beautiful, and all its appointments, from towels to kitchenware to bedding to furniture, are of a quality you never find in a vacation rental - my husband called it "rustic luxury". We were in the area for a family wedding, and spent our days exploring Portland. What a pleasure it was to come home in the evening and share a glass of wine and conversation with extended family in the hot tub. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating and responsive to any and all questions. You would think nothing could make this experience more perfect, until the owner's dad pulled up in his cart with a bag full of freshly picked tomatoes. This was our first trip to Oregon, and it was magic. Thank you.

The Best Family Vacay Rental
My teenage children were beyond impressed! We were in Oregon to attend and celebrate our daughter’s graduation from University of Oregon. We stayed 6 days at The Dolan Creek Lodge and enjoyed every bit of this property. This is a hidden gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle with all of the conveniences nearby. Hot tub, firepit, gameroom, a gorgeous fireplace (loads of firewood) and a fully stocked kitchen. We let Dana know we would be hosting a dinner for family and friends and it was nice to be able to hang out on the deck with the most gorgeous view of the pond and Mount Hood! We were a party of 5 adults and our 17 year old son but the lodge comfortably sleeps 10 with 3 couples each in a room and a room with 2 bunkbeds sleeping 4. We canʻt wait to return for our next family vacay! Mahalo Nui Loa Dana from this Maui Ohana!!!

All Time Best Ever !!!!!!!
I am a seasoned VRBO renter and this home was the best home that I have ever stayed at. It's the details that make the difference and this home delivered. The light fixtures, the furniture, the attention to every small detail, like having a dimmable switches on every light- that what makes this home special. And let's not forget the view - at night in the hot tub, look at that view of Mt. Hood turning pink in the sunset. I would live her if I could. You can see the photos - it is better than that in person. We were traveling with 5 small children, the oldest being 9. Dana and her parents living on the farm gave us the very best tour of the animals and the gardens, allowing us to pick berries right off the bushes, since they are organic. Best stay EVER.

Fantastic Property - Great Experience
I've stayed at many properties using VRBO and other similar services, and this was one of my best experiences. The property is very well kept and comfortable. The kitchen has all of the essentials and additional amenities. The location puts you within a short drive to Portland, waterfalls along the Columbia river, or hiking near Mt. Hood. You will have plenty of easy access to a variety of natural entertainment. We had my brother-in-law with us as well, and he was able to have his own private space in the apartment next door. The game room was a big hit with my six kiddos too! This was a perfect fit for us and Dana was fantastic to work with!

Quite relaxing fun on a working farm

A perfect house for a big group
We simply could not have found a better house for our three-family holiday weekend gathering. Everything about the house is well-appointed, with lovely overall design, and thoughtful attention to detail. Every aspect of the house is inviting and easy to navigate. We immediately felt at home. There are beds for ten (which we filled) and everyone commented on how well they slept. The beds are all very comfortable. The living room is spacious, and allows for some to play chess while others read and others to talk while all together. During the day the large windows fill it with light and beautiful views out to the pond and farmlands; at night the woodstove makes it cozy and warm. The kitchen also has plenty of space for folks to move around and grab what they need while others sit at the island or ten-person table, again enjoying farmland views from the french doors. We made multiple meals there; the kitchen is well-stocked. There is a large hot tub ready for soaking - that was a welcome activity on a chilly night, looking at stars, listening to the frogs.. Dana is a wonderful host, available and attentive, and full of great suggestions for things to do nearby as well as ways to enjoy the property. We took many of her suggestions, including going to Joe’s donuts and making use of the game room at the house. She also had provided all the instructions we needed to enjoy the prooerty in email and in the guest books inside. I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a very nice, comfortable and beautiful place to gather friends or family for time together to talk, play, eat, relax and enjoy nature. It is off the beaten path, and well worth visiting for all the space to free-range and unwind that that provides. Wifi is strong throughout the house in case you unwind that way too (guilty!). Thanks Dana, for creating this amazing space and welcoming guests into it. We are so glad we stayed there.

Our weekend stay was wonderful! This house is beautiful, spacious, and very clean. It is also very private. It is located on a farm and since we had a child with us, we took time one morning to visit the farm animals. The owners of the farm were happy to tell us all about their animals and their farm. They were very welcoming and friendly, and I can't thank them enough for their hospitality. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in the Portland area and highly recommend this property to anyone else considering renting it.

Not enough positive things can be said about this property! The location was fabulous and the hosts were friendly. The accommodations were first rate and the views were beautiful. The lodge was part of the farm so you could be a part of farm life yet it was secluded on one corner so you could still maintain privacy. Thanks to the host and their family!

I was born and raised on Dolan Creek Farm. Love for this farm is in my DNA. 35 years ago my family built The Lodge for my grandfather, the owner of the farm. After his passing it was used and loved by many families as a long term rental. In 2020 I fully renovated the Lodge and decided to use it as a short term vacation rental starting in January of 2021. I hope your family is able to make many memorable memories in this special place.

Dolan Creek Farm has been farmed by our family for three generations. This beautiful historic farm produces local sustainable fruits and vegetables as well as grass fed beef and poultry. Come slow down. Literally watch the grass grow. The Farm is pure magic.

The Lodge sits in the middle of 100 acres. It is very secluded with a view of Mt Hood and vast farm fields. The farm is home to cows, chicken's, sheep, goats, farm cats and April the horse. Ask for a farm tour and meet the animals up close.
