Enjoy direct access to the water on the private beach behind the house for swimming and water sports! This estate's unusually large lot offers unprecedented space and privacy for this area.

Big house, amazing view; under delivered

My family had a nice stay at this house and it met our base needs, but it lacked in many nice to haves that would be fixed with more diligent care or planning. Some of the linens were stained, it would be nice if hand towels, wash cloths, and dish towels were provided in the numbers needed. There is DIY electrical that doesn’t seem to code. One bedroom door won’t close and latch. Others will stick shut. Towel hooks are broken and not fixed. They kitchen layout and tools while there is slapped together. The dishwasher has several broken parts. It’s an old house with an half hearted upkeep and furnishing effort. But still a great site for a reunion as the water views are amazing.

Very relaxing

Our family enjoyed a week at this fantastic property. We spent a lot of time on the private beach enjoying a lot of fun and sun. The property manager was easy to communicate with prior to starting our vacation and the property was exactly how they portrayed it in the listing. We will be back.

Lovely spot right on the water

There was plenty of space for our group to feel together but not crowded. The beach is a short walk across the lawn, and the water and the air were so warm we didn’t even take towels. The house retains its 1920’s charm while being sufficiently updated to make everyone comfortable. The owner responded quickly, which made the few tiny glitches very minor (we had to wait to have a bonfire because there wasn’t enough firewood, but seriously, not a problem). We had a really nice stay!

Great Place

The property was beautiful and the view is great. Very convenient place for family and friends stay. Property manager was so responsive and friendly. Got to meet him in person and received a very welcoming and friendly behavior which was even great. The property’s description on the listing vs. the actual service and place matches and is very satisfying. Will visit again. To sum up, it’s worth every spent and very reasonable. Fabulous place for a family reunion

This is a great location right on the water of Buzzards Bay. The house is very spacious and well-equipped. The manager was helpful and quick to respond to questions. If you are looking for a place to host a group, I highly recommend this rental !

Perfect house for a large gathering

Sixteen of us arrived on Friday night. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out as well as gather. The house is beautiful and the scenery was perfection! It rained all day on Saturday but we still had fun puttering around the house and enjoyed each other’s company. On Sunday we got to enjoy the great weather and gorgeous backyard and beach. The only thing I can suggest is to supply a few more things in the kitchen like measuring cups, a hand mixer, masher, and pans that are in better shape. It would have made cooking for our large gathering a little easier.

Wonderful!

Although Hurricane Ophelia messed with the weather while we were there we still had an amazing trip. The home is located on 8 acres of ocean front property and the views were amazing. We weren’t able to spend much time outside but the grounds were beautiful. It’s an older home with a few glitches but the owner responded quickly to a couple of issues we had. The owner even came by to make sure we had all we needed and offered suggestions for restaurants, etc. We had a fantastic Cape Cod experience. We went whale watching, on a train tide, drove to Providence and all over the Cape and did a guided tour of Martha’s Vineyard. It was a memorable week and thus home was a great gathering place.

Wonderful in Wareham

In the past, our family has vacationed in the Finger Lakes region of New York state or on Lake Anna in Virginia. We decided to try something different this year and were very glad we did. The home was quite spacious and we really enjoyed the deck where we could catch the serenity of the beautiful mornings. Being in such close proximity to the little private beach area was also a plus. The grandkids especially loved that the water was so calm they could enjoy their paddle boards. There was plenty of room for all of us so none of us felt crowded. Having an extra refrigerator was a welcomed addition as the "warm weather" drinks could be kept out there and not take up all the space in the kitchen fridge. We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather the whole week we rented the house. We all were fascinated with the railroad bridge that we could see from the property which would go down if a train was approaching then go back up and wait until another train would come. There was so much in the area to explore as well. We have talked about renting the home again next year.

Our family of 14 had a wonderful vacation! The location was private but within a short driving distance to amenities. The setting and views were magnificent! The private beach was great and the kayaks were a fun addition!…but for the price, the home is in need of maintenance, updating and tender, loving care. We did have a great time and loved the area - also toured the Cape, Providence, Newport and Boston. All easy to get to!

Sibling Reunion/ Memorial

Eight siblings and the house was perfect for our reunion. We had plenty of space to hang out in different rooms, even if you wanted to have quiet time for yoga! The view was amazing and everything we need was there! We had a memorial for our Dad, and the sunroom was perfect for it, and the large dining room. We will always treasure the memories from our stay there.

Family Reunion

The best thing about this property was its location. Right on the water, a mostly fenced in lawn and woods - great for our three dogs to run around in. And right on the water - kayaking and swimming, collecting shells, building sand castles, which was glorious for our three small children. And easily accessible first floor bedroom for an elderly woman. Shae also could easily maneuver to be able to get to the beach area. All in all - absolutely fantastic!

Estate Living!

Our experience at this home was nothing short of heaven. Michaella was an excellent communicator and very generous with suggestions when questions arose. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and turned the AC units on right away … one in all rooms downstairs and one for each bedroom (except for the twin suite). This was only for the 90 degree weather … once the week cooled off we turned off the AC and just opened windows… amazing breezes! The beach was great as were the kayaks included with the stay. We used the propane grill for many of our dinners, and even organized a family Olympics on the huge lawn. Trash pickup is on Friday, FYI, and the linen service picks up laundry on Monday and drops off fresh laundry on Thursday - helpful to know when making up rooms. There is a carriage house in the property as a separate rental… we only overlapped with other renters the first and last nights we were there. We discovered that the house used to be an old Friary… so much glorious history! Hope you love it like we did!

Relax in a clean private space with your family and friends and enjoy the tranquil environment. More features include a grand staircase in the main entry, 4 decorative fireplaces ,4 Tv’s and a formal dining room. Private sunny back yard with additional stone patio and grill. We use a professional cleaning service that also disinfects all high traffic areas (doorknobs, light switches.. etc.) All linens and towels are thoroughly cleaned between each rental.
