Rocky Bottom Lodge auch bekannt als "MACs in Chapel Lane", der Innenstadt von Baileys Harbor befindet sich südlich, war einer von mehreren Häusern in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren auf Chapel Lane von Familien, die eine erfolgreiche Sommer Rückzug von der Hitze in Chicago und Milwaukee gebaut. Sie werden die kühl und beruhigend Brise vom Lake Michigan direkt aus Ihrer Haustür fühlen.

Zimmer wurden alle während mit neuen Betten in allen Zimmern, neue Bettwäsche, Kissen und Teppiche aktualisiert. Enthalten sind: Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und Schlitten Plantage Fensterläden mit einem Doppelbett, ein weiteres Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss mit zwei neuen Jenny Lind twin extra lange Betten mit neuen Matratzen und zwei Bäder (Deckenventilator zu kommen) ein Schlafzimmer. Updates in Bädern gehören neue regen Duschköpfe und Master umfasst Bluetooth-Lautsprecher Duschkopf. Neue Teppiche & Duschvorhänge gänzlich. Außerdem gibt es eine Badewanne und vier Einzelbetten über der Garage mit neuer Bettwäsche, Kissen, Teppich und Plantage Fensterläden entfernt. Zwei ferngesteuerte Deckenventilatoren werden in diesem Raum zusammen mit Geweih-Kronleuchter aufgenommen. Es gibt eine Königin Schlaf in den großen Raum zusammen mit einer Leseecke oben.

Im Guest / Boathouse befindet sich ein Queen-Schlafsofa und Bad - neue regen Duschkopf. Es gibt neu stecken spitzen Kamine sowohl im Haupthaus und Bootshaus, die auch eine vollständige Bartresen einschließlich neuer Mikrowelle, Edelstahl-Wein-Kühlschrank und eine Sitzecke vor dem Kamin - enthalten ist ein Wintergarten mit herrlichem freiem Blick auf Baileys Harbor und Lake Michigan. Es gibt zwei Deckenventilatoren und ein Fenster AC-Gerät zusammen mit einem Sound-System und einen neuen Flachbild-TV mit DirecTV im Bootshaus.

DirecTV Satelliten-Service ist in der Sonne-Zimmer und ein tolles Zimmer des Haupthauses enthalten. Es gibt auch einen Stereo-Receiver in den großen Raum, die eine direkte USB-Anschluß für Ihren iPod oder intelligentes Gerät Audio & Lautsprecher hat.

Die Küche hat einen neuen großen Edelstahl-Spüle, Wasserhahn und Seifenspender mit Kühlschrank / Gefrierschrank, neue Elektroherd mit Backofen, Geschirrspüler und Kaffeemaschine. Neue Kleingeräte sind auch für Ihre Kochvergnügen hinzugefügt. Es gibt einen Hauswirtschaftsraum neben der Küche mit einer neuen Waschmaschine und Trockner.

Bewegen Sie außerhalb weitläufigen Gelände für alle Arten von Rasen-Spiele und sogar einem kleinen Tennisplatz, ein paar Kugeln um zu schlagen. Dies ist keine Regelung Gericht jedoch. Eingeschlossen ist eine Feuerstelle und Sitzgelegenheiten für Entspannung am Nachmittag zusammen mit sowohl einem Gas und Holzkohle-Grill für Ihre Bequemlichkeit. Das Bootshaus verfügt über einen großen Betonpfeiler draußen sitzen, aber aufgrund der niedrigen Seespiegel, Sprung von der Pier ist streng verboten. Wasser-Schuhe oder Sandalen sind für die Eingabe der felsigen Küste, während Sandstrände sind sowohl auf der nördlichen und südlichen Ende von Baileys Harbor empfohlen. Sie können auch auf Maxwelton Braes Golf Club (für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich) gehen.

Hunde sind willkommen im Haus und die beiden Lauf Zwinger in der Nähe der Garage nutzen. Wenn Ihr Hündchen neigt dazu, viel bellen, bitte lassen Sie sie nicht unbeaufsichtigt, um nicht die Nachbarn zu stören.

Es gibt tolle Restaurants, Geschäfte und Charter-Angeln weniger als eine Meile entfernt in Baileys Harbor. Innerhalb von sieben Meilen, können Sie die Städte von Egg Harbor, Fisch Cree, Ephraim, Sister Bay und Jackson Hafen besuchen. Kangaroo See, ist Door County größte Quelle gespeist See auch nur eine Meile entfernt.

Rocky stay

The exterior and grounds at Rocky Bottom are lovely and the interior of the home has lots of character. Upon closer inspection the charm fades. The house was dirty and there were lots of bugs both dead and alive. The kitchen cabinets had a very musty order. There was evidence of mice. The linens were in desperate need of replacing, some of the towels being in shreds. There were no washcloths or soap povided. The sofa bed in the boathouse was unbearable, and the refridgerator in the boathouse did not work. We were also disappointed that we were not able to fish or swim from the dock due to low lake level. If you come with the mindset of "cabin camping" it doesn't seem too bad.

Beautiful property and location

Beautiful historic property in a great location. A couple of things kept me from giving 5 stars...we could not bolt the main door from the outside as the mechanism was loose and stayed that way our whole stay. The dishwasher did not work and neither did the direct TV remote in the living room. For the rental price I expect everything with the property to work.

good! We were missing a set of sheets for the boat house but we made due, the last time we stayed there this didnt accur, so this must have been a housekeeping issue. We really enjoyed our stay!

Family Weekend

13 of us including grands down to the littles spent 3 nights here to enjoy the fall colors of Door County. This location was great, far from the traffic on the east side but an easy short drive over to Sister Bay for their fall festival. The house is charming. Most were happy with their bedrooms, the group staying above the garage were not as pleased. The room was large but the bathroom was not as pleasing as the others. The great room in the main house is cozy, inviting & filled with original art & decorative pieces that make you feel instantly at home. Great Sonos sound system and plenty of toys for the 2 little ones. We hired a photographer for family photos and there were many scenic areas on the property for her snap away. The owners have a special place at Rocky Bottom Lodge. Located on a dead end street with plenty of space between neighbors. Prior instructions did not include a clear means to enter the cottage boat house. The management company was attentive and we had entry instructions after a couple phone calls.

Awful

The house was dirty with lots of cobwebs, filthy rugs and and old cereal under beds. Shower curtains disgusting. Shower drain clogged so shower water went above the ankles. A toilet was also clogged when we arrived, but we found a plunger. The living room sofa must have fallen off a garbage truck. Multiple light bulbs out and pitch black outside at night. House was overrun with flies. The sleeping rooms are in 3 different buildings. The beds old and tired. The mattress in the boathouse sofa bed too thin for the adults in our group. Towels threadbare and dirty. Only after you pay your non refundable deposit do they send an onerous lease with so many penalty provisions that you’ll spend your last day cleaning everything. There are very few fire alarms for a log house and at least one I tested didn’t appear to work. The dryer vent looks like a fire hazard and the balcony railing appears too short to provide safety in case you lose your balance. The location is nice and the house has a lot of potential but the maintenance and management needs work. The owner should have an inspector look at the place to make sure that it has no code issues. VRBO should also look into the practice of allowing undisclosed supplemental leases without recourse to get a refund after reviewing it.

Family fun

We loved RBL. There were 11 of us and the accommodations were clean, comfortable for all! The kitchen is well equipped ,so that made preparing meals much easier. The yard and view is amazing,so we were outside at the firepit mornings and evenings. RBL was perfect for our family to get away to. Beautiful & spacious.

Plenty of room for our 4 family group to spread out and yet be together. Kitchen is small and table only seats 8, but both issues are very workable. Boathouse is amazing! Bonus room above garage is very spacious with plenty of room for kids to play, not just sleep. Yard is huge; bring toys for the kids! (Caution for families with small children: the railing in the bonus room is wide-spaced and small children could fall through. Plan to move furniture in front of it or bring extra child gates for safety.) Only issue we had was with washer at end of stay, but property management company gave us a solution. We would definitely come again!

A perfect spot to relax yet still being close to all Door has to offer

What an amazing property! The old charm of this home is a site in itself equipped with more space then I was expecting for people to spread out and relax. Tennis courts were in great condition as was the entire property. The kitchen cooking/dining area might be a tad small for a larger group to mingle in but it worked fine for our group of 6. The boat house is AMAZING, pretty sure my life would be more balanced if I could sip my coffee from this spot every morning.

Rocky Bottom Lodge

The property is very lovely, esp. the fire pit area. We were here for 4 nights and had a fire every night - even the night it rained. On the clear nights we had an awesome view of the moon coming up over the lake. The boathouse was also very nice and so convenient. However we had some problems that made us unhappy with the house. The upstairs bedroom with the queen bed was extremely small - barely enough room to walk around the bed. The shower stall in the garage bathroom was very unsightly and should be replaced. The requirement that the towels be washed and in the dryer by check-out at 10 a.m. is unreasonable. We also had a lot of trouble getting into the house thru the door off the patio - the lock jammed several times. The lock into the boathouse was also very difficult to operate. I did send a list of problems and concerns to the management company but have heard nothing back from them.

Beautiful Cabin!!

I have been going to Door County all of my life and this is by far the BEST place to stay!!!! The property is absolutely beautiful!!! The house is very spacious, with a warm cabin feel. Every evening we had a campfire next to the water and watched the sun rise over Lake Michigan. The location is very close to Egg Harbor, Sister Bay and Fish Creek. This house feels like home and we can’t wait to go back!

Tons of Charm

Loved the setting of this property with a gorgeous view of the water. Lots of green space for kids and pets to play. House has tons of charm. My girls enjoyed the bunk house over the garage as their own little space to play and sleep. We were very comfortable and had plenty of room. Plenty of common space as well as bedrooms. Was very clean with nice, new provided linens and towels. Loved the fire pit setting. I would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Great cottage, Great vacation

We stayed at this chapel lane cottage for my 30th birthday. There were 5 couples and we had plenty of room. The property was so charming and the view was spectacular! The interior was beautifully decorated and very clean! The previous reviews do not do this place justice! This was such a great vacation and we can't wait to go back!!

The perfect retreat

Such an amazing getaway. It's obvious from the moment you pull into the driveway, the new owners take great pride in this property. Would recommend it to anyone looking to have a relaxing retreat!

Had a Great Time

The house is great, lots of room and the rooms are laid out to provide some privacy. The view of the lake is beautiful. It has a nice sized yard if you want to play some outdoor games. Got lots of use out of the fire pit. It's also a great place to bring your bike. Only a short ride to downtown Bailey's Harbor. Only things that weren't so great was the sofa bed in the boat house, not very comfortable, and the shoreline. I went out and bought aqua socks as the description suggested but the shore and several yards out was a very nasty green soup. I would highly recommend this place for a get away, just don't plan on taking a dip in the lake.

My family stayed at the house, it had some good features but smelled musty inside. The boat house was beautiful but the sofa bed was broke and terribly uncomfortable. There are also no window treatments so if you plan to sleep in there, plan to be up early in the morning! There were spider webs & bugs in the corners all over, the housekeeping could have been a little better. Oh and if you plan to bring your pet, the book in the house says you can't let is urintate or poop on the property, you have to walk it down the road. How is thqat for convenient! Yes you can bring your dog but you have to walk down the road to let it relieve itself, how stupid!
