Die River Lodge liegt am malerischen Fluss Chester, 8 km außerhalb von Chestertown.

Es ist die perfekte kleine Flucht. Sie werden wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge und ruhige Nächte erleben. Setzen Sie sich tagsüber auf einen Stuhl an Ihren kleinen Privatstrand und sonnen Sie sich in den Sonnenstrahlen. Fischen Sie vom Steg aus, schwimmen Sie im Fluss, spielen Sie eine Runde Ball im großen Garten und genießen Sie am Ende des Tages eine köstliche Mahlzeit auf der Veranda, die auf dem Grill gekocht wurde.

Great spot on the Chester River!

We had an amazing couple of days at the river lodge. Check in and out was a breeze, we had everything we needed in the kitchen, and it was so cozy. Our kids chased fireflies under the cafe lights on the lawn, I loved grilling on the brick BBQ, and we all made great use of the dock with a boat rental. Only thing we did wrong was not to stay longer. Can't wait to get back!

Family Vacation

We had yet another fantastic stay at the River Lodge! This is our 3rd summer here. We are never disappointed. The house was spotless when we arrived, and check in was seamless. We love the privacy of this location too. It’s such a treasure!

Beautiful setting!

Part of the Britland Manor estate, the River Lodge delivers on privacy, gorgeous sunsets, beautiful setting, and a lovely homey cabin vibe inside. All 4 BRs are spacious with ample closet/drawers. Dining area slightly cramped for more than 6 but only in chilly weather--outside dining area is huge, screened porch table also good. Suspect that it was built for 3 seasons--gale force winds & single digit temps were slightly challenging, hopefully that's unusual winter weather for Chestertown. Natalie was very responsive and efficient, and I would definitely rent there again.

Birthday getaway

The River Lodge at Brittland is one of the most peaceful and relaxing stays we have had. The location is private and quiet and beautiful! My family stayed only two nights for a "milestone"birthday getaway, but honestly, we came home as relaxed as if we had stayed a week. Truly a little gem.

Ultimate Privacy and Peace

If you’re looking for privacy, quiet, solitude, beautiful open water and comfortable home-style lodging, this is the ultimate location. The property is one of a kind in its expansive private water views and wide open fields surrounding a property tucked away just a few minutes from historic downtown Chestertown. Our host was responsive, timely, and allowed us the solitude we needed. Could not be more pleased with the stay. We’ll be back!!

Peaceful and Relaxing

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and the incredible views, fishing off the dock, swimming, reading in the screened in porch, playing games in the dining room, taking walks/runs etc. The yard is immense with plenty of room for frisbees, footballs, volleyballs, corn hole etc. There are two Adirondack chairs and a picnic table with 4 benches very close to the water. So, beach chairs are not really needed, but we were glad to have a couple with us. You do not need a beach umbrella as it is shady very close to the shore. Bring beach towels as the many towels provided are for indoor use only. We didn't see any crabs but still wish we had brought a net so we could have tried to crab. Several reviews stated that the kitchen was well-stocked, and it is with certain items, however, if you plan to cook for 10 people, you will need a decent frying pan and a decent casserole dish or similar for the oven. There were several small/scratched frying pans but nothing big enough for our needs. We bought a frying pan while there and took that home with us. It was greatly needed. You will also need storage containers or baggies etc. Also, there are only 7 spoons which I thought odd. We were constantly hand washing spoons. There is a grocery store near by. We ate out at 98 Cannon one evening and loved it! Natalie was very responsive to my text questions during our stay. We would love to stay there again some time.

PERFECT Weekend Getaway

The home is the perfect combo of homie and rustic! My partner and I rented the home for a low key/covid safe weekend getaway to celebrate my 30th with a very small group of closest friends! The home was AMAZING! Secluded away from any major roads and with a glorious yard for games and running around! The dock and beach front made for a spectacular sun filled water day! You are able to close the kitchen doors, which was nice when the kitchen got hot from the oven. This house really is perfection! HIGHLY recommend! Hope to rent it again next summer! ps. TONS of towels are provided and the kitchen has everything you need! And the actual town of Chestertown is to DIE FOR ADORABLE

A very special place—Enjoy!

We had a wonderful visit to this unique and beautiful property. The Lodge itself is clean, comfortable and charming. Natalie and her staff made everything easy for our stay. The grounds are stunningly gorgeous with mature specimen trees providing shade and a lazy country road—our dog was in heaven! The views of the river were superb from the house or the screened in porch. The huge dock was a great hangout spot for our teenagers. Give yourself the gift of a few days there—we are so glad we did!

Everything Advertised - and more!

The pictures don't to justice to the actual setting. My family had a fantastic getaway on this property - from fishing and crabbing on the dock, exploring the shoreline, floating in the river, evening cookouts and games on the spacious lawn. We are definitely planning on visiting again for sure !

We had an amazing time!

What an amazing gem this place was! We spent the weekend playing in the river, enjoying the open green space and relaxing in nature. The house was clean and comfortable with lovely views of the river. We would definitely love to stay again!
