95th birthday & Family celebration

Everything about this stay was excellent!! The location cannot be beat: incredible view and walking distance from town and restaurants. The accommodations were neat & clean, all imaginable supplies were available. Well equipped kitchen, dining facilities and laundry. Each room had a portable heater which made the cool nights and mornings comfortable. Thanks for maintaining such a great gathering spot!!!

Wonderful Place to Stay

We rent in Boothbay Harbor every summer. This was our first time renting this particular property. We absolutely loved it! The property manager, Michael, was so helpful and responded to our questions promptly. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Everything we would need for the week was supplied. Our most favorite part of this property was the view of the harbor! We were able to watch lobstermen as they came in and out of the working dock next door. We are so excited to stay here again next summer!

Great Place

This was a great place to stay on the bay. Loved being so close to Boothbay Harbor but still far enough that it was so peaceful and quiet.

Great family gathering spot

What a wonderful location and casual setting for a multi-generational family gathering! Whole home and deck is on one level making it very easy for older family members. This was our second year and it was great both times. Manager is super responsive. Kitchen well-stocked and with a large group, we were able to our meals at home.

Beautiful Spot in Boothbay!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The layout of the house was perfect for us as we had a large group with adults and kids of all ages. Everyone had their own space when needed, but there was plenty of room to be together as a family for meals and hanging out. The location of the property is unlike any we've ever stayed out. Everywhere you look is water! It is absolutely stunning. Such unique experience and we absolutely would love to return in the future. Michael, the property manager, was wonderful. He answered any questions that came up throughout the week promptly and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend staying here!

Annual Family Vacation

Our family of 15 had a wonderful stay. We were literally right on the water as the deck was more like a dock! We had beautiful views of the harbor and the little town of Boothbay Harbor which was close enough for walking but we chose to drive in most days and had no trouble finding parking. We loved all the little shops especially the home made ice cream and lobster shack. We took the boat trip to Cabbage Island Dr the clam bake and it was really great and we would highly recommend it. The whale watching trip not so much. The house was so great for every age. We all worked on the puzzle, played games, fished off the deck and some even went swimming in the 50 degree water! It was one of our best vacations ever. Highly recommend! Our host was great and available to answer any and all questions.

Wonderful gathering space for a large family!

After a few years of not being able to spend time together, it was an absolute joy for our extended family to be able to vacation in this gorgeous spot. There was enough room for everyone and the deck served as an extension of the living space. Renting kayaks from Tidal Transit made touring the harbor super fun for all. Communications with manager were 100% on point - super responsive and kind. We hope to return next year!

Go Big or Go Home!

Nothing compares to this on-the-water property. We loved that the tide flowed in and out under our rooms. The layout was ideal for a large reunion of friends. Rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. Very well-appointed and stocked. From sunrise views of the harbor to sunset views from the dock, this house is a winner. Everything needed for a memorable vacation. They almost had to drag us out of here. We wanted to stay forever.

Amazing Location!

Hard to believe it's built entirely over the water -- it's even nicer than the pictures can show. Our extended family of 10 (from 23 to 90 years of age!) all found things to love -- from the local food, to the fishing, to the whale watching, and sailing -- more things to do than we had time for in a week. Definitely within walking distance of the shops and restaurants for most. We had fun catching squid off the dock, and had a great plate of "calamari" appetizers one night. Michael, the property manager, had answers to all our questions and was thoroughly knowledgeable about the area. He was very accommodating and along with his wife and daughter, cooked us the best "shore dinner" of lobsters, mussels, corn, potatoes, sausage, etc., all layered with local seaweed and steamed on shore right next to the cottage. The outside deck area is made for a crowd with picnic tables and Adirondack style chairs for comfortable seating, and is the perfect place to enjoy the views and the sensational sunsets. The separate floating dock is a feat in itself, raising and lowering with the 11 foot tides. Inside, it's everything you would expect a Maine cottage to be with a spacious gathering area and well-appointed kitchen. There are also two smaller living areas and a little kitchenette at the other end if you feel like spreading out. The place was scrupulously clean, and it was great to have access to a washer and dryer as well. We would highly recommend it to anyone!

A Wonderful Spot Gets Even Better

Our group has spent a number of years at this unique and glorious spot and already has reserved again for 2022. An unused outbuilding at the end of the deck has been removed, which makes the water/harbor views even more spectacular. The house has been spruced up and was spotless when we arrived. Mike Roberts, the property manager, is a pleasure to deal with and can handle pretty much any request. As always, we hated to leave.

Beautiful harbor home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with 4 adults and 5 children ages 2-12. The house used to be three separate apartments, so the layout is very unique and spread out, which is awesome if you have a large group or kids (however, note that the main kitchen/living area is somewhat small for the amount of people it sleeps, if that matters to you). Great location overlooking a very active harbor with easy access to town center. Gorgeous water views in all directions- perfect if you have water / boat lovers in your group. (Water, however, is not somewhere we would personally swim due to water quality from active boat harbor, so also keep that in mind if you are envisioning a week of swimming). The deck was almost as big as the house and very secure! I felt very safe having my toddler outside on the main deck area, which is something I had been worried about. Michael was an easy going manager with great communication. The only suggestion we’d have is to add room darkening shades/curtains in all the bedrooms. We were all awoken everyday before dawn by boat headlights and then again at 5:45am sunrise... so, we had to deal with some grouchy kids (and adults) all week, lol. Nonetheless, beautiful house and great week. I’d recommend to anyone.

Beautiful vacation!!

We had a fantastic time during our family trip! We were 12 with ages from 4 to 64 and we all loved it! The location is great… amazing views of the harbor and you can walk downtown… close to everything! The house is comfortable… the deck is big and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. The social space inside the house is a bit small for a big group… but still comfortable. The property manager Mike was great! We had the lobster bake he offers and it definitely was one of the highlights! As the description says, it is a working harbor, so you have to know you will hear the boats early every day.. but for us it was one of the special things about the property! We will definitely be back!

Family vacation

Absolutely incredible property. Plenty of space for 8 people. Beautiful views of the harbor from the pier. We had hours of fun fishing for squid, striped bass, flounder and crab off of the floating dock. Highly recommended.

Location, location, location

Family vacation on Pier 43, starting with front row seats for 4th of July fireworks! More than enough space for everyone, a delicious lobster bake by Michael, a proposal/engagement, we had a fantastic week. The lobster boats do start early, however nothing a little white noise couldn’t drown out. Overall a great experience and a very unique property on the water.

Incredible location

This was like living in the middle of the harbor. You get to watch all the activity going in and out of the harbor. The house is great because there are separate places for smaller groups to gather. There is not just one common room. So it worked well for our group.

Great stay in Boothbay Harbor

We were two families totaling 10 people; a combination of adults and teens. The house was great for us. The super large deck provided plenty of outdoor space, cornhole tournaments, watching the boats and lobster fishermen and just a fantastic place for morning coffee. We loved being able to walk into town, the Boothbay Lobster Wharf and a number of other shops and restaurants along the way. Super place, we will be back.

Fantastic over-water experience

If you're a Boothbay regular, then this is without doubt the place to be: close to town, "over the water", fantastic vistas. You are (note) next to a working lobster wharf (that starts around 4:30 a.m.), but for us this added immensely to the charm of being able to rise, sip coffee and take stock of all the "happenings" around the wharf as the daily routine kicks in. The Dock 7/20-27/2019

The experience at The Dock is all about location. It is absolutely marvelous to be ON the water next to a working lobster dock!! You can fish, swim, sit on The Dock all day and even go up on the observation deck!! The beds, other than the master, are wanting. No broom or mop to clean up during the week. But every pot or pan you could ever Want are in the cabinets. Appliances are new. TV and WiFi wonderful. We loved walking downtown several times a day and loved our Foodie Tour!!

Our Third Spectacular Year at The Dock

This was the third year our group spent a week at The Dock and it was, as always, fabulous. The Dock, quite simply, is a great property for a group. As I wrote in my review two years ago, it is particularly well designed for a large party with the five bedrooms nicely spread out so that those with different sleeping habits don't disturb the others. The living quarters themselves have even been improved since 2016, with mostly new kitchen appliances and redone floors. Everything you could possibly need is there. The amenities (WiFi, cable, etc.) remain excellent with consistent internet reception and virtually all TV channels. The outdoor deck is large and outfitted with picnic tables for meals and a nice grill; the view from the deck and all the interior rooms is spectacular. Tanner, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and Mike, the property manager, once again was a delight--always easily reachable by phone and the purveyor of the best lobsters around. The Dock is a unique and wonderful spot. We'll be back.
