Little Frio Cabin - cozy log cabin
Just 2.6 miles away from Garner State Park, and only 3.3 miles away from the Frio River public access point.
This newly listed tiny home has been recently refreshed from ceiling to floors to give our guests the ultimate log cabin feel. This one-bedroom, one-bath rental is close enough for a few minute's drive to the river, but far enough to escape the crowds to enjoy an intimate retreat.
Sit out on our porch and view Old Baldy, one of the most visited mountain tops in South Texas, located at Garner State Park.
Our area is a birding heaven: Black-capped Vireo, Carolina Wren, Eastern Phoebe, Vermilion Flycatcher. Rio Grande Valley birds such as Long-billed Thrasher and Olive Sparrow can also be found here. Painted Bunting breeds here and Golden-cheeked Warbler is often heard in the taller trees on the eastern side of the Frio. Black Phoebe and Green Kingfisher are regulars on the river banks as is Yellow-throated Warbler.
In the evenings you may hear the Eastern Screech-Owl, Common Poorwill and Chuck-will's-widow.
Don't forget your binoculars!
