Relax and enjoy a peaceful stay on the Sassafras River surrounded by nature. Watch the sunrise from the gorgeous wrap-around deck or unwind with the sunset views from the private dock. Open concept floor plan allows more time to be together.

THE AREA
Very quiet neighborhood with protected Maryland Wildlife Land 100 ft off of the river. 10 min from Middletown, 20 min from Chesapeake City. Our home is located on 2 acres on the Sassafras River in a quiet community. The yard offers peaceful nature and will have you feeling like you've traveled far for this little slice of heaven.

It is a short walk down a trail to get to the private dock that offers unbeatable sunset views. Feel free to bring a blanket and something to drink and sit out on the dock. You'll be sure to hear the sounds of birds and horses from the horse sanctuary across the river and you may even spot a bald eagle in the trees. Remember that your voice travels on the river so please be respectful of the neighbors even if you can't see their houses.

-1st bedroom with Queen memory foam bed
-2nd bedroom with double bed and attached half bathroom
-3rd “Bedroom” upstairs Loft with comfortable 10 ft couch to sleep on or air mattress available upon request. This is a private area located upstairs away from bedrooms
-1.5 bathrooms located on the first floor

-Smart TV in the loft and living room with streaming services
-Plenty of boardgames
-Yard games

Kitchen & Dining
-Oven with 4-burner range
-Kitchen stocked with utensils/cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc.
-Drip Coffee maker and coffee
-Hot water kettle
-Dining table
-Air Fryer
-Outdoor grill (must fill propane tank locally if you wish to use)


Yard and Deck
-Fenced in backyard located directly off of the deck
-Deck has a grill for your use and comfortable outdoor couch and dining area
-Fire pit, Adirondack chairs and table in the backyard patio area
-In the backyard, you’ll find the gate that will lead you to the dock. Please wear sneakers as the walk is steep.


EXERCISE
Peloton bike available for your use. Bring your own shoes. You will log into your account to use bike or you can ride without taking a class.

NEARBY
Don't let this peaceful area fool you! There's plenty to do a short drive away.
-Chesapeake City is voted one of the most quaint towns in America. Highly recommend Prime 225 (get the Brussel sprouts!), Chesapeake Inn, and Schaffer's Restaurant.
- Wineries: Chateau Bu De is a gorgeous winery located on the Bohemia River and Broken Spoke Winery is down the road from Chateau. Both about 15 min from our home.
- Chestertown
-Waterfront Restaurants nearby
- Historical landmarks for the history buff!
- Middletown is 10 min drive and has plenty of restaurants, Chick-Fil-A, Walmart, Marshalls, Rite Aid, etc. Recommend - Lidl's and Aldi's for affordable grocery stores.
There is a great organic market 7 min down the road in Galena.
