"Beachside Suites" are a collection of zero- and one-bedroom cozy condo's that are a stroll from our sandy shores, a short walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island.

The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday and FIREWORKS every Thursday. We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

These suites are a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world charm, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everyone! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while vacationing with us on our Island!

The entry to this 1 bedroom, 1 bath suite opens into a newly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen (stove oven, refrigerator). The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!). Courtesy organic soap and shampoo are left in the bathroom of each suite as well as a (1) starter roll of TP, a (1) garbage bag, dish soap, and a sponge in each kitchen.

The unit's ONE QUEEN and ONE FULL bed consist of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge.

There is one smart TV in each suite to utilize one's personal subscriptions (such as Netflix or Hulu) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach!

The outdoor shower is located on the lower left of the building to help get that sand off of those toes!

The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a portion of a respective deck, patio, or balcony.

PARKING: Each guest will have access to (1) ONE 8'x14' assigned parking space in the main lot off of Lake Park blvd S. Guests driving "oversized vehicles" (from SUVs to pickups) may have issues fitting comfortably.

•Closest BEACH access: Lake Public Beach Access (Lake Drive).

I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The building itself is one row away from the ocean, and one row from Carolina Beach Lake. The property is set under a block from downtown Carolina Beach with its shops, activities, and dining.

Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

•Salt Water Real Estate has partnered with the absolute best vendors our Island has to offer to help ensure guests can spend more time enjoying themselves and less time researching! Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog Yoga, Amy’s Rise N Shine, and Griffin Cleaning and linens. Our partners support guests of Salt Water Real Estate with the highest caliber of local services for extremely competitive and oft discounted pricing.

•Linens
(Sheets, bath towels, wash cloths pillowcases, wash cloths, bathmats) ARE included as part of the rental here (excluding beach towels which can be rented through scrubandgo@griffinscleaning dot org. If requiring extra or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! •The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.

• SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience.

•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork!

•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

Very minimal and basic. Would be nice if there were basics like paper towels, cleaner, salt & pepper, a spare roll of toilet tissue ... Internet/wifi is extremely slow. No where to hang or keep clothes. This property's location is perfect. So close to the beach. I think people put up with not having basics and minimal for the location. It's small (as in both amount of space and short ceilings) It's ok but it's ok enough to continue to come back. Relatively clean.

There was some miss communication in getting checked in but, once that was settled everything was fine. I really enjoyed the quietness of the area and access to the beach. A hose for washing off would have been nice but we made it work.

Good place! you get what you pay for.

Good location, really close to the board walk and beach. Overall was clean, but did have a minor ant problem in the bathroom not a big deal. Water pressure in the shower was not great so if you're tall it can be difficult. Would not recommend to anyone with large trucks parking is a little tight. Everything else was wonderful, had a good time!

Wasn’t expecting much for the price point. It was actually better than expected. We were there for my son’s soccer tournament (only 10 minutes away) but on some short expeditions we found that we really enjoyed the area. Everything was very simple, just like we like it.

Disappointing Property/Rude Property Manager

I spent 1 hour at this property. It was disgusting. The property manager would not take nor return my phone calls. Instead, I received phone calls from the "cleaning" company who insisted the property is clean. I left and found another property on vrbo a few blocks away for slightly more. Dealing with this property and the property manager ruined my first day of vacation after a 12 hour ride. I could spend an hour going into great detail about how horrible the experience was, but frankly it's not worth it. Just keep looking! This town is a great vacation spot and there are plenty of fantastic properties around the town with professional property owners/managers. This is definitely not one.

Beachside vacation

Place was just a description on the site, so close to the beach and safe area was appreciated! Property manager, Dale was right on with communication and allowed an early check in 😉. We were happy with our choice and stay, kids loved how close the beach was as well as the boardwalk.

Great little property just right for the Mimi/Granddaughter trip i was hoping for! Although I originally thought "Beachfront property" meant it had a view of the ocean it was such a few short steps away that it was not any issue especially for the much more affordable price and to be within EASY beach walking distance of all the boardwalk activity was BRILLIANT! Owner was So accessable and helpful!

Short get away

The place was clean, parking is very very tight. You only have 1 parking spot. The room is right on the main busy street. Alot of traffic and people going by your window in your room. I would not stay there with children due to the street being so busy day and night. Guests have to pay for public parking.

Bug infested

Property was infested with bugs, manager would not refund stay when leaving, very by the book strict policy, I stayed for 60 days almost and they wouldn’t refund me 2 weeks. I wish I could attach pictures of the infestation. So for all my money spent they would refund 2 weeks when infestation became unbearable. They called exterminator that never showed up 1st time they were called. Look for a better place to stay

Overall good, awesome location

It was great! Super close to the beach, very nice that there was an outdoor shower and contactless check-in. Straightforward and clear about bringing own linens etc. Awesome to be right across from the veggie wagon. Only thing we would have changed is having a cutting board in the kitchen, and the sink in the kitchen drained slow the first time we used it. Other than that it had everything we needed for a short stay.

Pleasant stay at affordable price with some quirks

The condo is definitely not for individuals over 5'8 or taller. The shower was extremely small for a tall person and no water pressure (management was notified). The floors were not thoroughly cleaned, but sufficient. No storage place for clothes (lived out of the suitcase for the week) & definitely needed a tv in the bedroom. Overall, it was an okay place.

Great Location

Cute apartment in a great location. Close to everything and easy to walk to the beach. It was not overly clean though. Walking around the floor and our feet were black. There is no way the floor was mopped before we got there. There were also an abundance of tiny critters. Roly poly bugs and ants. The kitchen is stocked minimally, but we made due. All in all had a great time and would recommend this apt.
