Relax on the covered porch and take in the serene mountain and valley views of this peaceful home away from home. This family-friendly getaway offers a convenient private washer/dryer on-site to keep your clothes nice and clean during your stay and a fully-equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) to prepare terrific homemade meals for everybody.

Even though you'll enjoy a secluded location, fun isn't too far away. Try your hand at cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Swuak Campground Sno-Park and Pipe Creek Sno-Park both 14.5 miles away. Downtown Cle Elum is a short 11.5-miles away where dining and shopping can be found. The historic town of Roslyn (where the show Northern Exposure was filmed) is 15 miles west.

THINGS TO KNOW
This home is on a well with high levels of minerals. The water is safe to drink and use, however there is a sulfur smell to it due to the mineral content and may be bothersome to some guests.
There is no cable.
Full kitchen without a dishwasher.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) Best Cabin

We had such a great time at this cabin, it was so cute and cozy. The view from the deck was beautiful. Everything was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing. Super family friendly.

Let me preface this review with this: I have a short-term rental with Vacasa, so my expectations are VERY high. My family and I very much enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we needed and more. The vibe is lovely and very cozy. I had read the previous reviews about the "sulfur smell" with the water. This was barely a thing. Hardly noticeable. I highly recommend this property. The location is perfect if you want to get out of the city and enjoy some incredible views. You are only ten miles away from a grocery store if you need anything.

Beautiful open. The sulfur smell is not just occasionally. It’s present the whole time. So if you’re getting ready to attend a wedding I would not stay there as you will be the stinky guests.

Great location, beautiful views, cozy, but had lots of bugs

Pros: The property sits on such beautiful land with large windows showcasing a dramatic mountain-scape. Loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the home and seeing the Milky Way at night. The hot tub was fantastic; loved all the lights! The location is great for exploring: we ski toured at Blewett Pass, checked out the living ghost town of Liberty, visited Leavenworth, and walked/ran the roads nearby. It was quiet and peaceful. The bedrooms are nicely sized and it was great having the big dining table and all the chairs for playing games around. The upstairs loft area is really big! Lots of hooks upstairs for hanging/drying clothing. The gas fireplace was SO great! Super comfy for us to visit around. Cons: The water has a very strong sulfur odor. We had to go into Cle Elum to purchase water/sparkling water. There is an infestation of Western Conifer Seed bugs in the house. We counted over 100 and tried to remove a bunch of them. But it was disappointing to stay at a nice place with so many bugs :/ There was a lack of supplies for eight people. They only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper (which they responded really quickly and had a local rep bring additional rolls), no laundry detergent for the washer, and not enough towels for all 8 guests to have their own shower towel and hot tub towel (I think there were 6 of each).

Unclean & bug infested

My friends and I were sorely disappointed and couldn't wait to leave! The house was extremely dirty with months of accumulation of dust and dirt behind doors and in corners. Dishes had to be washed before use as they had food and lipstick/Chapstick stains on them. The hot tub water was murky and filled with dirt due to broken clasps on the covering and it being blown open by the wind. Completely unusable. The bedding and bathroom floor was covered in human hair. However, the last straw was the pine beetle bugs. Hundreds of them! We were forced to sit in the dark to avoid them falling on us and in our drinks/food from the ceilings. Even that didn't help much. I contacted the property management before our departure and still have not received a response. The smelly water is the least of your worries. It's really too bad as the home is cute, in a great area, and near to recreation. Better luck elsewhere.

Perfect escape

The house had the perfect view up over the valley with such privacy even though the driveway passes in front of the house. We loved roaming the open fields and picking the wild flowers. The water really does taste terrible so bring your own or boil it and let it cool to get rid of the taste.

The location of the property was lovely. It had great views from the cabin and was private. The location was convenient to Cle Elum and to the wedding venue we attended. It was quite windy at all times during our stay since it was out on the open prairie. The beds were comfortable and the fireplace made the place cozy. The hot tub was perfect and the decorative lights added a nice touch. The water was intolerable. The sulfur smell and taste was overpowering. We had to buy bottled water just to brush our teeth. Those that showered didn't feel clean due to the strong smells and the fact that the tub did not drain, leaving you to stand in the dirty water. Additionally, there were many small beetles living in the cabin. During our stay I would say that I saw at least a dozen. There was food bits under the fridge, dust under the beds and chip bits under the microwave. I was disappointed in the level of clean for what we paid for the long weekend.

Epic little ranch

Gorgeous Views

My friends and I chose this cute cabin for our fall girl’s trip and couldn’t have been happier! The views are beautiful right from the living room and loft. If you’re outside, the deck is also amazing view wise and very large. Highly recommend this cute little cabin that could easily accommodate a family. Our only issue was the lack of comfortable chairs and couches in the family room. The two that are in there are very small and uncomfortable. It also should be noted somewhere that while the water smells terrible it is completely safe to use/drink and that the plumbing is VERY noisy. These were very minor things and did not affect our stay at all! We loved it here and didn’t want to leave!

Peaceful getaway with amazing views

Problematic

The property has some significant challenges which were not disclosed and could be problematic from both a health and safety point of view: 1. The water is very high in sulfur and gave one of our guests stomach problems, not to mention the smell. 2. The kitchen was infested with ants. 3. There is a camera at the front door that points in to the house and captures the entire living room area. This is both illegal and disturbing. Lastly, I'll say that when I raised these issues through the online feedback form, and via email, there was no response. On the positive side, the setting and the views are lovely, and the property did not get too hot, even in summer.

Great getaway!

The cabin was beautiful! Loved the view! We were pleasantly surprised to find out it did have streaming services which we had been told it did not. It does not have a/c so was uncomfortable during the day but nice and cool at night! Did have a small problem with ants in the kitchen. Would definitely rent again though! Just what we were looking for!

Fantastic views

Loved the location and views. We saw over 20 deer on the property, some resting in the shade right behind the cabin. Nice deck and cozy interior. Loft was large and great for kids. Comfy beds and everything clean. Close to Teanaway and Cle Elum.. Lots of hikes. Great time.

Jumping Horse Cabin

It was a beautiful property for a relaxing weekend. The views from the large living room window are wonderful. It's set nicely on acerage so despite being in the middle of a field it feels private. We had a lovely time and it was near numerous shoeshoeing trails to enjoy.
