A nice house, but a few concerns

Overall, the property is nice, but there were a few things that did not sit well with us. The biggest issue was a security camera in the outdoor hot tub area. This camera was not mentioned anywhere, and we had few underage girls in our group. The camera is active (as it lit up red several times) and there were girls in the hot tub in the ages of 5-17 who were in there in their swimwear. I have no idea who was able to view the footage, but they were watched. Not okay. Furthermore, there were only 18 towels, exactly the size of our group. This meant that we had to wash towels every night. I asked for more towels and we were told they were not available.We were staying with a large group, in a large house, but warm water would run out after two showers, so other people would have to wait for the water to become hot again. This in return caused our morning and evening routine to be hours long.The bedrooms had very flimsy curtains, with the exception of the master bedroom. This caused us to wake up at dawn or shortly after, since the rooms would be BRIGHT. In terms of safety, we did not notice any carbon monoxide detectors. The house has two fireplaces and a gas stove, so in our opinion did should have been standard. Lastly, not all the tv’s in the bedrooms were working, and some people like to watch the tv before falling asleep. Like I mentioned before, the house was okay, but had a steep price tag for the things that were up to par.

Great stay

For a short weekend it was perfect for us. So much to do for both the kids and adults that we didn’t even have to leave the house but did take a nice long walk around the development area. Super friendly hosts that were available when/if you needed them. Highly recommend!

Great rental! Beautiful space!

This is a great house for any vacation. All our kids had a great time with plenty of room and a ton of activities in the house. Everythingworled great and was in great shape. Would surely rent again!

Great location!

The house was clean and in a great location for winter activities. Extremely short drive to both Jack Frost and Split Rock resort. Great home for a large family or group of friends. Our only criticism is the listing photos need to be updated. Most of the furniture in the photos is not accurate. Sofas, chairs, everything was different from the photos. The bedroom descriptions are also inaccurate. The property manager should update the listing to reflect current property. All in all, still highly recommend for a family getaway.

Winter Weekend

We stayed at the ultimate game house one weekend in Jan and had a awesome stay. It was a get together of 14 family members and there was room for all. Everything was as listed and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and the linens and towels were also provided. The primary bedroom was very large with just as large of a on-suite. The other bedrooms were of good size and had various bed configurations to fit varies family sizes. Of course one of the main draws with this house is the large game room with every type of game you'd want for entertaining g. The games were in tip top shape as to not disappoint. This rental fit our requirements for the weekend in every way and we were glad we found it. Thank you

Wonderful Rental ! Lovely playroom/theater. Very spacious !

We really enjoyed this spacious home. My pop-up tree wouldn’t fit in the car, so it was a wonderful surprise to open up the door and see such a beautiful tree. It was an amazing addition for the holidays. My family really enjoyed the playroom as well as the theater. It was more than enough room to spread out and have lots of fun.. My family enjoyed roasting marshmallows, and the kids even made a snowman. The house is up-to-date and has all of the modern amenities that your family would need to have a lovely vacation.. property managers were always available to answer questions.

Summer Poconos Family VACAY

The house was wonderful, very much like the images on line. Great indoor playground for younger kids and indoor activities for the older kids and even the adults had a great time playing pool and using the hot tub! Overall the house is very roomy, and comfortable. Thanks for a great time!

Clean, well stocked and easy communication

The property is lovely and immaculate. Everything worked well and the kitchen was stocked for all our cooking needs. The game room was loads of fun and the movie theatre was enjoyed by everyone.

Wonderful family get together

The house was very spacious and had more than enough space for 10 of my family members. The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies. Main sitting area furniture could have been more comfortable, but the downstairs areas had good seating. We all had a very nice stay.

Great house for large family group

This house perfectly accommodated our extended family group (including nine kids, ages 2-11) for a long weekend. The property was exactly as described, and we enjoyed the yard and fire pit, the large porch, and especially the fantastic game area, toddler playroom, and movie room in the basement. There was plenty of room to cook and eat in the large kitchen and dining area. We found ourselves traveling about 20-30 minutes to hike or swim (Hickory Ridge State Park is great for both); this property is near a few resort communities but not part of them. The property manager was helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay!

Family get away

This property is perfect for a multi family gathering. The bedrooms are all a good size and well appointed. There is something for everyone. We were all together on the lower level with everyone engaged in the various games and activities available. The property is also conveniently located to the ski resorts and water parks.

The Yellow House

Beautiful big house. Room for all of us. Spent lots of time in the downstairs. Great playroom for the children and loved the movie theater and the grownups playroom. Nice kitchen, dining room and outdoor deck. The floor to ceiling window in the living room was a joy for the eyes. Not easily accessible for people with walking difficulties, lots of stairs. But we loved our stay.

Great house for a large group

We had a large group for a family vacation with people traveling from New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. This house had everything we needed from plenty of room for family meals to multiple games and activities for people of all ages. There was also plenty of room to spread out. Jennie was great to work with and always available to answer any questions that might pop up. I would definitely consider renting this house again for a large group.

Perfect place for a family gathering

We just wrapped up our family trip. The adults and kids all loved the property. There was plenty of space, lots of activities, and Jennie, the property manager, was easy to communicate with and responded to questions promptly. The pictures are accurate and the location is wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for better. Highly recommend.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration with Family

First of all, we would like to commend the wonderful service we received from the Host, Jennie Woo. She was quickly and effectively responsive to our initial questions and ongoing communications throughout the stay! The Berkshire Home provided so much space for all 15 people gathered together. The house was clean when we arrived. The 7 bedrooms were spacious with sufficient room to hang clothes or place clothes in dresser drawers (the 3 Queen beds were "squeaky" but all beds were comfortable). The bunk room for 5 grandkids was a major hit! Comforters were very soft and snuggly. Upon arrival, bathrooms were well stocked with toilet paper and hand soap. Towels were thick and soft! The activities (basketball, foosball, pool table, shuffleboard, arcade station and theater room) in the lower level/recreation rooms were awesome for everyone including 7 year olds to 74 year old! The hot tub was a big hit! The large sectional in the great room on the main level was perfect! The many smart tv's throughout the house provided additional entertainment for everyone. The large deck with two picnic tables was a great place for breakfast and snacks. The fire pit was a great evening gathering spot where our family enjoyed smores. The kitchen was huge and well stocked. The kitchen table was also large enough for most of us to fit around. Additional seating was available with bar stools overlooking the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay with great family memories!!

Family Getaway

I just want to say that my family and I love this house. we wanted to have some calm days away from the city and The Berkshire was the perfect place. The kitchen was all the equipment that you need to make any meal for the family. Jennie was an excellent host since day 1 to the end our trip she helped us with any question that we had. the favorite part of this house was the basement that was full of games for everyone in my family. I'm hoping to come back to this property again soon. this house is really cozy and make you feel like home.

Favorite Spot

We had the best time at this house! It was my family’s second stay. We loved it so much, we wanted to bring our other group of friends to experience it. The house is so clean and perfect for relaxing days and nights. The play room and movie theater kept the kids entertained our whole stay, and the adults enjoyed the kitchen, giant couch, and pool table. This house is absolutely perfect for a fun getaway and Jennie and her team are so easy to work with and so communicative! We can’t wait for our next stay!!!
