Nice Get Away

Had a great time staying at Angela’s Little Garage Apartment. It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Angela was very communicative with us and even offered for a late check out due to the tropical storm that recently hit the area. Wife and I made the best of it and even caught some fish kayaking. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Perfect home away from home

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was perfectly located for us to get to our hunt and fish spots. We loved hanging out and grilling and playing games in the backyard, and watching sunrises on the patio. The bed is very comfortable, and it was easy to use the streaming options on their TVs. If you forget anything for cooking or grilling, they have the basics covered. We definitely recommend staying here!

Family Gathering

Wonderful stay w/ guest treats to make it perfect ! House has the most relaxing atmosphere and being 1 block from the water is perfect for riding bicycles or taking a walk. Our family we be back !

The garage apartment was exactly what I needed. The neighborhood was pleasantly quiet and it matched perfectly with the cozy apartment. I could picture myself living here for the rest of my life. Perfect Place For Weekend Trip

Reunion

We were in Palacios for my High School reunion. This little home was perfect for us. It was very clean and well appointed. Has a wonderful view of the bay to watch the sunrise. If ever back in the area I would definitely stay there again.

Great location, water just a block away. Host were very nice, we were having trouble with tv/wifi, we messaged them and they were there within 10 minutes to help.....we highly recommend this place

Wonderful accommodations

We couldn't be happier with the rental. Angela and Isaiah have thought of everything! There is not one thing we needed or wished we had. In fact, there were many surprise items, it was just like being at home. The location is close to the water - the view from the unit was very nice. We will definitely return when in the area.

Wonderful stay with even better views!

I was looking for a well-equipped space in the Port Lavaca area when I stumbled across this gem. This garage apartment was perfect for the long weekend we were in town for a memorial service. The apartment had everything we needed- didn’t want for anything! Angela is simply amazing and communication with her is a breeze! The view of the bay from the balcony is wonderful. If we ever find ourselves needing a place to stay near family again, this will be it!

Quiet vacation home and fishing community

Space was cute and comfortable, and Angela was both responsive and accommodating - even refunding a night after I was unexpectedly unable to make the destination the first day. I'd picked the location for its convenience to Matagorda beach, which was a little over half an hour away, as well as a decent proximity to a couple of state parks (Goose Island and Brazos Bend). Unfortunately, my hiking plans got washed away due to flooding over state road 35, so be sure to monitor weather for any excessive rainfall ahead of time - the day I tried to go had beautiful clear skies, but water levels hadn't yet drained away, and the reroute to state road 77 would have added over an hour each way. The grilled shrimp at Danny's Seafood House is awesome, I highly recommend it! A chill dock and cove restaurant, the staff was friendly and responsive. And if you're a fan of beef barbacoa and other homestyle Mexican fare, Cheli's Cafe is a must, but be prepared for a wait as they are popular with the locals! It is important to note that the surrounding area has a lot of bayous/swamps, and that flying insects come out in droves at night. Though the balcony was nice, I didn't spend more than a few minutes outside after dark. The mosquitos are dumber than where I live, but at least twice the size, so bring your own solution for them to supplement the various bug repellent options the property already had (bug spray and citronella candles readily available). All-in-all, I enjoyed the property, and appreciated the owners. My last recommendation for visitors is to fiddle with the air conditioning available if you need things cooler at night as it did get warm and humid (this was also smack dab in the middle of a Texas summer, so take that in to account).
