90+ day stay
Had issues with the booking from vrbo and Marriott. Room was supposed to be clean every Sunday. Though they may have came by, they did not always replace the linens even though we always had them off the bed and in a pile. Some bathroom supplies were not always replaced and we had to stop by the desk as well a handful of times. The start of our stay we were locked in the elevator for over an hour because none of the staff knew how to open it from the outside. Instead of calling the fire department they called the elevator company which they weren’t able to get ahold of. Took 30 mins just to call the fire department. The manager on duty did pay for a dinner and added a credit though.
This part is more of lack of knowledge of the Marriott bonvoy on my part. I booked through vrbo now knowing I wouldn’t get my points or nights for my stay. Marriott still received payment for my 90+ day stay, regardless of booking points and stays should still be credited. The policy is a horrible one, they offer a best price guarantee, if they had the best price customers would not need to use a third party for booking. I have talked with a few Marriott representatives, they are not willing to credit points or nights. They will not accept the best price guaranteed either. Currently looking at other hotel chains since I will be traveling for the next year or more.
