Incredible spacious open living area, vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows over looking beautiful Lake Buchanan & Hill Country! Relax on wrap around deck, bird watch, swim in the large pool. Very quiet neighborhood. Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig, comfy furniture, bedroom downstairs has private entrance (only accessible from outside, bathroom is upstairs). Spacious bathroom with jet tub, huge walk-in shower, two sinks, private porch off bathroom. One block to boat ramp, playground, lake access, 5 minute drive to Spider Mountain and Reveille Ranch.
A perfect place to decompress and relax! Strict no parties or extra guest policy.

Great place for weekend getaway.

Great location with proximity to inks lake and wineries. HEB less than 15 min away and full kitchen to cook some meals at home. We had a great weekend doing some hikes around inks lake state park, and drank some great wine at Torr Na Lochs winery.Lots of room at the house. Great view from the back porch. Full kitchen with everything you need.

Serene weekend away

Stunning property with beautiful views, open spaces, and ample opportunities to relax. Kind interactions with owner. A delight that we plan to visit in future with our adult children. It has definitely made it onto our shortlist of treasured getaway spots close to Austin.

Cozy Weekend in Burnet

What a wonderful weekend we had in Burnet! The home was lovely, with expansive views of the hill country that you could enjoy from the porch or indoors. Debby was wonderful and checked in with us. Would love to stay here again!

Quiet beautiful home

We had a great stay. The area is quiet and the home is beautiful. It was perfect for our family of five. House was very well stocked too I’ve never stayed at a house that had so much for us to use. Which was perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. Loved the wrap around porch we enjoyed spending time out there relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

Overall, the stay was ok except for the enormous amount of ants, they were everywhere, bedrooms, blankets, bathroom, kitchen. They got into our clothes, we were bitten so badly too many times.

Gorgeous Lakeview Home

The Birds Nest was the perfect place to celebrate a Bachelorette Weekend! The property had all the rooms and beds necessary to accommodate our group. It was a beautiful home with every possible necessity covered. The pool is an amazing spot to relax with the girls, and is secluded and quiet. The location is perfect, with porch views of the lake and a short drive to local hot spots. The owner Debby was fantastic and very responsive! I would absolutely love to bring my family back to this property!! Things to note: There is only one restroom, which we made work but could be an issue for some groups. The twin over full bunk bed is great but there is no ladder for the top bunk. Kids may be able to scale the frame, but for our adults it was not easy and we didn't end up using that bed.

If you want a tranquil experience this is it!!

My family had the best time. We stayed 5 days here and wish we could’ve stayed longer! There are so many things to do around with the kids that are less than 30 min away. The pool was the biggest bonus! We would definitely stay again in the future, very peaceful and quiet area. If you take a walk around 7 pm you will be sooooo many deer and wildlife. Great experience all around.

Camp Pick Up

We decided to be closer for camp pick up and decided on this property for its location, views and pool. It didn't disappoint. We had a lovely time and my husband enjoyed the fishing very much.

Perfect place and experience!

We absolutely loved our stay: the Birdhouse cabin was everything that was promised and more. Debby was the best host. The house had everything we needed, I didn’t need anything from my just Incase bag. The wrap around porch offer views that were breathtaking all hours of the day. Deer visits are a morning routine. The pool was perfect! Our children are different ages and this place had room for everyone to spread out and have some space when needed. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Would stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse. The house looks much older when you first pull up than it does once you’re inside. The a/c works GREAT in the living room. We had to pull out blankets when playing games at night. The bedrooms were a little warm until late at night but it’s hard to keep everything cool in this Texas heat. The bedroom downstairs is a long way from the bathroom upstairs in the house. We actually didn’t use this room as it would’ve been a difficult walk in the middle of the night. And as a group of 4 women none of us felt comfortable being so separated from the group in an area we weren’t familiar with. The kitchen was well stocked. I can’t think of anything we needed that either wasn’t there or we couldn’t find something else to use. Knives are a little dull for cutting things like watermelon so bring your own for that. The only real complaint we had was the pool. The bottom is stained so initially it looks dirty, but the water itself was clean. There’s a lot of plant growth right around the pool so that means leaves and other plant debris gets in the water. But that didn’t stop us from spending all day in the pool! The area is quiet. There’s the usual kind of noise during the day and it was very minimal at night. Someone was having fun Friday night but it was very brief and nothing that kept us awake. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The host is extremely responsive and was able to answer any questions we had.

Wonderful property!

This was a wonderful property to kick off the summer preseason! Upon entering the property, we were met with beautiful sunlight from all of the windows and sliding doors. The house was clean and inviting. We thoroughly enjoy the privacy of the outdoors & the swimming pool. We also loved watching the birds that would come and go to the birdhouse and nearby trees. Debby was courteous & prompt to answer any questions we had. Overall, we had a great stay. Looking forward to returning someday!

Perfect retreat

My husband and I needed a little escape and Serene Bungalow was perfect. The home is very thoughtfully and comfortably furnished and provisioned. We happily spent the mornings having coffee on the deck, sunny days at the pool and evenings reading on the cozy couch. We really enjoyed our time here.

The property was quaint and comfy. It served as a great jumping off point for hiking and potential biking. Had it been a bit warmer, afternoon in the pool after morning hikes would have been ideal.

Burnet Birdhouse

Had a wonderful stay at the Birdhouse, appropriately named! Very relaxing. Didn’t use the pool, but it looked inviting. We thought about using it after returning from a hot hike at Inks Lake, but the high winds forced us inside. The spring wildflowers were in full bloom. Beautiful location with lots of outdoor activities. Met some friendly neighbors and their dogs on a loop around the neighborhood. Would stay here again.

Relaxing and comfortable

This was a great trip and the location was so close to the excursions we had planned…10 minutes to Inks Lake State Park and about the same drive to Longhorn Caverns. Cozy house, beautiful views, plenty of space for a family of 5. Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from using the pool, but that didn’t impact our enjoyment. The host was very responsive and made check-in and check-out a breeze.

Very peaceful

The views were great! I loved hearing the birds sing. It was very peaceful and a great weekend get away! I came in the winter but will come back again to try out that awesome looking pool!
