Awesome location!

This house was the second house from the beach access path. Very convenient to go back and forth. Deck was very comfortable and had a great view of the beach. Ocean lakes is a fun place and the nightly golf cart cruise is unique! Highly recommend

Great location in need to cleaning

Pros: Location was perfect Amenities were good Decorating was tasteful Had tons of living space and bedroom sizes were great Cons: The bedroom linens were in need of change, stained and ripped on some No mattress protectors (we always check for bed bugs) only mattress topper (in all bedrooms) . Master bedroom mattress is stained, hair on mattress and topper along with the bedroom pillow cases. No bugs on mattress but tons of other foreign particles on the mattress and topper. Mattress topper is ripped all alongside the bed. Upstairs mattress topper had two large white crusty stains on it (very disappointing). The topper hadn’t been washed as the stains were crusty. Hair on the actual mattress and bedroom pillows. Air filters and vents were filthy. The location was nice but due to the lack of cleanliness in bedding it wouldn’t be our first pick when we go back. We’ve stayed at OL over a dozen of times and was wanting to try another home, which was this one. If the bedding was corrected we would stay here again.

Really cute house

We came with a women’s group for a fun little getaway. The house was described pretty accurately. 2nd house from the beach. Beach access was directly across from house. Super convenient. We all really enjoyed sitting upstairs on the deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails while looking at the beach. Pros: plenty of room for larger groups. Lots of seating and beds throughout the inside and outside of house. A/C would freeze you out. Kitchen was stocked with every thing you should need. Con’s: the house needs a deep cleaning. There was dust on surfaces, sand in showers and cobwebs on light fixtures. Also, the mattress on the king size bed needs to be replaced as it was sunken in the middle badly and the two people that slept in that bed would roll into the middle then have difficulty getting off the bed.

Perfect Views

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this home! I was a little worried after reading some of the most recent reviews about bugs and dust, but all was fine upon arrival. We did have some palmetto bugs, but they were dead, and that’s unavoidable when you live on the cost of S.C. The beds were comfortable and the linens provided were soft as well. The refrigerator was clean, and had amble space for groceries for a family of 5. The house could use a good dusting, but it wasn’t dirty. The only suggestion I can offer the owners is that the unit is in need of bowls, coffee cups and maybe one new medium sized pot. Other than that the stay was amazing! We spent most of our time on the deck soaking up the view and the sunshine. The walk to the beach was maybe 1 minute long! Such a great location!! Would definitely stay again!

Needs Major work/update

We have stayed at this property before and was super excited to be going back. When we arrived there was much to be lacking this time. The amount of how bad the house has went down was super disappointing. There has definitely been a leak in the house as there were 2 patches on the roof also. The upstairs bedroom the paint was bubbled up from it. The entire house was wet feeling. When laying in the bed you actually felt wet. The bed in the room with 2 beds squeak so bad we had to put the mattress on the floor with my 60 year old aunt. One of the bed room doors could not close because the handle would come off and you could not get out from inside. You could not close the bathroom door upstairs or you would be locked in. There was literally dust all over the walls everywhere like an inch thick. The air vent was COVERED in dust. I do not think it has been cleaned in like a year. The kitchen cooking supplies needs all new stuff. There is hardly anything to cook with and what is there is nasty. We ended up leaving early because we could not stand the stickiness in the house. We really loved the house and location last year so we were excited to come back. It was truly a disappointment, and how terrible it had gone down hill within the year. I was in contact with the owner the entire weekend and we were disappointed that no compensation was offered what so ever. Some of the issues we had others had also had because she advised that she thought it had been fixed. Overhaul needed!!

My stay

This house was just as listed and the reviews are pretty accurate. The house itself was great, beds were comfortable and the house was stocked decently. Probably could use a deep clean but I imagine that it gets super sandy and well used with families coming in and out every week during the summer months. Melissa was amazing to work with and took all of my suggestions nicely along with her being super responsive. :) As some of the reviews say, the golf carts really do run the show at this campground so be prepared for that. We didn’t rent one so we felt a little scared when we walked around because the golf carts can be everywhere and it didn’t always look like the drivers were 16 years old. Or totally sober. The campground is definitely a busy and happening place but not overly loud or obnoxious. Loved the house but next year we will likely go somewhere quieter and less crowded.

Great proximity to the beach

We were overall pleased with our stay in this home. It was very close to the beach and easy to come and go with children. However, the kitchen was lacking in silverware and some necessities for cooking meals. Contacted the owner and she was very responsive and said the situation would be remedied, but unfortunately it never was.

Beautifully decorated but not very clean

Never received parking pass info prior to arrival. Was granted early check in however i wished the cleaners would have spent more time cleaning, the outside areas were trashy and sandy, untouched from the last check out. Inside was cleaned with a lick and a promise. Refrigerator had spilled liquid and hair. Nothing had been dusted, made our own beds, and the mattress covers and several of the pillows were disgusting. Kitchen needs more silverware, utensils, And cookware. Upstairs bathroom electrical outlet does not work, leak from under the kitchen sink.Owners needs to a deep clean and maybe stay there themselves to see where they are lacking

Nice Property

Communication with the owner was good. I’d say the amount you enjoy this house depends on what you are visiting for. First off, this house is in a very large house/campground/RV Park and it can get pretty congested. It’s almost a mile from the entrance of the park to the house. If you plan on doing a lot of back and forth, it can get a little tedious. The decks are fantastic to relax on and look at/ listen to the ocean. The houses are very close together and I imagine can get pretty noisy during peak season. The tiki bar area was a little deceiving from the pictures and it wasn’t entirety clean upon our arrival with a lot of debris on the ground, but no big deal. House itself was clean, with new appliances and plenty of linens. If you like to drink, Uber/Lyft cannot get into the park to pick you up or drop you off, so you’re stuck with a decent hike, which isn’t the worst thing if you’re up for it. Anyway, I would recommend this place overall depending on what you are looking for in a rental property. There were 4 of us there for golf and it suited us just fine.

Almost Perfect

Lovely home, well decorated and very clean. Home was well stocked with everything you could need to cook for and entertain a family of 10 for a week. View was amazing especially when having morning coffee and evening cocktails. Highly recommend, we wouldn't hesitate to rent again. Cute house and loved the location

The house was very cute, and we loved how close it was to the beach. We had a problem with the heat the first night, but a repair man was there first thing in the morning and fixed it. We would definitely recommend this home.
