Steps from the ocean, listening to the surf at night. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. Outdoor deck. Parking for two cars. Full kitchen. Area is wonderful to enjoy. Visit Congdons for a homey feel brunch with Mimosa’s; to a nice lunch at Billys Chowder House overlooking the beautiful tidal river. Have dinner at Verano's or skip down to Ogunquit and go all out. The marginal way is a beautiful spot to take your special person for a quiet walk overlooking the rocky Maine coast have a seat and reflect on life and how much simpler it could be for at least a few days. I hope you love the place as much as I love it this will be my forever home.

Great spot, so nice when u get what the host promised it was worth every penny so if u get a chance u won't be disappointed. Short walk to beach and the food was outstanding try the Fisherman's Catch if u love fried seafood.

Quiet and clean

A lovely one bedroom down a quiet lane. Nice outdoor seating area to enjoy sounds of the beach. Clean and comfy. The AC was cold; a big deal for us southerners in the summer. Would come back again and again.

Such a perfect location

The location was central to everything and the fact that it was a short walk to the beach was the best. It was very clean and comfortable and there were no issues at all. If I ever make it back to Maine (fingers crossed), I would definitely stay here again.

This property was absolutely beautiful, it must be an amazing place in the summer as the location is perfect. The unit was spotless, and the neighborhood was spectacular. I would definitely come back here again, hopefully Midsummer when I can utilize the beaches.

We enjoyed our stay! The property was perfect for us and close to beaches, restaurants, stores etc. The property was very clean and had all of the essentials you might need, plus, a washer and dryer. The owner is great and responds quickly to messages. Our stay was very relaxing and we are looking forward to going back!

Quiet getaway

Very clean and tidy, it worked perfectly for my wife and I. Close to the beach and off any main roads so very quiet. The area has lots of restaurants with freshly caught seafood and other types of food along with just a short drive to outlet stores for shopping. 5 out of 5

Perfect location

My husband and I rented this house for our one year anniversary. We absolutely loved it. It was so cute, peaceful, and a five minute walk from the beach. We were very impressed with the binder with all of the recommendations for places to visit and dine while there. Gerald was very communicative from the minute we booked the trip. We would definitely rent this place again in the future! It was our first trip to Maine ever and definitely won’t be our last!

Perfect place to relax

I rented this quaint apartment for my parents so they can come and spend the week with us in Moody Beach. it was perfect: clean, open concept floor plan, and a great location. The only downfall was the lack of A/C in the whole apt - the listing says there is A/C but it was only in the bedroom and despite all efforts to air the place down, it was SO HOT a few days which was not great for my mother with a heart condition. This said, we loved the apt and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a very cool place to be!

Disappointing

We were really disappointed to find a very major construction project going on right next door… there was a crew working daily with cranes and bobcats, and generators were going 24/7 to support sump pumps. Needless to say, we didn’t use the deck (which overlooks the whole mess) nor did we want windows or shades open.

The Beauty Of Maine

We had the upstairs of the house all to ourselves and it was more then perfect! Enjoyed our stay so much,that we will be returning next year. The owner of the house,Jed, was very nice and personable as well. The area is just breathtaking, and there are many places to go walking and exploring! Loved opening up the windows and just hearing the sound of the ocean and feeling the ocean breeze. The sunrise and sunset are just a fine example of how blessed we really are. And the food in Maine is just exceptional!The Greenery Cafe, Clay Hill Farm, Merriland Farm Cafe ,Maine Diner,Lobster Pound. Definitely come here...it's worth it!

This is our 3rd Summer, renting this property. We absolutely love it! The apartment is well stocked and the owner is easy to reach and responds quickly, to any questions you might have. Lots of stores and restaurants, very close by. This is a 2nd floor apartment, just perfect for 2. However, the downstairs is much bigger, I highly recommend renting this property. Nice place!

Overall, excellent except we couldn't adjust the shower to maintain a constant temperature. At first, it was cold, then hot, then it stayed cold, so it was frustrating. Also, the mattress was more than just firm. It bordered on being hard. However, the host answered questions in a timely manner and even let us now we could arrive earlier than scheduled since it was ready.

Perfectly Comfy

The place was light, bright and clean with all the conveniences of home. Our host was very responsive and it was obvious that he actively manages the property. There is something about the second level that makes it seem you are away from it all. The ocean is visible from one window at a distance and the sound of it was easily heard. In warmer weather I imagine the large east facing deck would be very pleasant. Our temps were 30-40s. We walked the gorgeous beach (you’ll have to start at the public opening, which is not too far from the beach house.) We also enjoyed the beauty of the tidal river and marsh side.. The jetty walk was worth the short drive (northernmost point of island). There are quite a few antique places in Wells with pretty good prices. It is conveniently located near many restaurants right in Wells but also Ogunquit. It was a great way to experience “winter” Maine.

Relaxing Getaway.

Excellent stay! Home is immaculate and cozy. The kitchen and bath are stocked with just what is needed for the stay. Lots of windows to let in the breeze. Even though there is no AC, the ceiling fan and extra portable fan provided cooling -when needed. (It’s Maine, so nights can be quite cool anyway). While it wasn’t a super short walk to the private beach entrance, it’s not bad if you don’t have mobility issues -like one of who uses a cane. Still super quick drive to public parking (2 minutes?) at Ugonquit Beach. It’s also very nice. We also found other nice beaches within a short driving distance. Communication with the owners was stellar. We had an initial problem with WIFI that was quickly resolved. They’re very accommodating. We would definitely consider staying again and would recommend this home unreservedly. Thanks!

Just A Short Walk To Wonderful Moody Beach

My wife and I just spent two weeks in Maine, celebrating our daughter's wedding. We spent the last 5 nights at Gerald/Jed's home. A very nice way to end our vacation! Our apartment was the entire second floor of Jed's house: spacious, well provisiouned, and immaculate with a "like new" feel. The washer/dryer was a plus (especially when staying at the beach). We happened to be there during a roaring heat wave but we were still able to remain reasonably comfortable despite the lack of A/C There were a couple of very minor "wrinkles" during our stay ... a bit of confusion re: check-in the procedure and a noisy smoke alarm ... but Jed was instantly available and quickly "on the case" to iron our the "wrinkles". Communications with Jed were VERY prompt and successful. (Personally I rank hosts who solve minor problems instantly even higher than hosts who "never" have minor wrinkles.) We expect to be back for another stay!

Appartement spacieux pour un couple, équipé de tout le nécessaire. Tout était très propre et l'hôte répondait rapidement aux messages. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et la proximité du logement avec toutes les activités!
