Propery just went through extensive kitchen and first floor renovation. Lake Superior beachfront is just a short 175 feet walk through the private wooded trail. Experience the beauty and peacefulness of up north living in Brimley, MI. This cottage offers 4 bedrooms 2 bath. Bathrooms are newly updated. Check out the private game room suite with a private bedroom and bath. Perfect set-up for multi family guests or a parent retreat. Many tv's throughout the cabin. All the kitchen supplies, and bathroom essentials are included. This location offers an abundance of things to do: Enjoy the water in the summer, watch the freighters go by, talk a walk on the beach. Just a short drive to the Soo Locks or Tahquamenon Falls, less than an hour to Mackinaw and a day trip to Pictured Rocks. Laundry room with washer and dryer is included! Easy day-trip distance to nice attractions

Nestled in the woods and a short walk to the beach, this was a lovely cabin. We only had two in our party, but imagine it would be great for a multi-family trip. Kitchen was modern and had plenty of tools for cooking. Several local casual dining options as well as options a bit further away. Owner was easy to contact and was responsive. We visited the Shipwreck Museum and Tahquamenon Falls on a day-trip. Local area felt rustic, rural and somewhat secluded.

Perfect Stay!

What a perfect trip. This location was great for us, we loved the little trail to the water also. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hardest part about staying in rental homes is you never know what they have, well, they have it all! We will absolutely stay again.

Great Experiance

Home was clean and cozy. Kids stayed busy with board games and game table provided. Kitchen had everything we needed and all of the appliances were updated and easy to use. Would definitely book this property again!

Best Getaway Ever

This was such an amazing experience. It was the first time in about 10 years that my entire family got together and went away somewhere far from home (Detroit, GR). The property itself was just gorgeous. It was spacious. I'm fairly certain all the mattresses were memory foam (which wasn't even advertised but such a wonderful surprise). Every night we got a great sleep, and every morning we got to start our days with a little walk down to the lake. I mean, it was amazing. Everyone keeps talking about making this an annual trip to the same place. I cannot thank Kevin enough. It was just what my family and I needed. Clean place, beautiful scenery, countless televisions, so many bedrooms, a huge fireplace, everything was awesome. THANK YOU!!

A perfect stay.

The property location was perfect for our list of to do’s. The views of the bay are beautiful with lots of beach front for lakeside walks. The cabin was well equipped for all our needs, beds were comfy and there was a good supply of firewood which we made use of in the huge fireplace on the chilly nights. Comfy and cozy stay.

Great place for family of all ages!

We had a great time here! There were 9 of us ranging ages 60 to 16 months. There was plenty to do or just relax and enjoy the view. I highly recommend bringing some outdoor activities such as kayaks and hammocks. The cabin was stocked with board games, chairs for the beach, and wood for the fire. It was a little colder than we expected (60’s and low 70’s) but we braved the water anyway and once we got in it really wasn’t as cold as you would think. We hadn’t originally planned to visit Sault St. Marie because it seemed kind of far but we were so glad we ended up going. The cabin was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for a great week.

Lake Superior Vacation house

The property in Brimley was great for our family. The short walk to the beach was a nice path and the water was cool, clear, and a great time for both swimming and relaxing to watch the freighters. The 4 bedrooms fit our group of 6 perfectly and having 2 baths with showers meant not waiting for it to be open. We enjoyed our relaxing week there and it was a nice home base for trips to Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks, the Oswald’s Bear Ranch, and the Port Iroquois Lighthouse. Thanks for a great week!

Relaxing Getaway

The house was clean and perfect layout for our group. There is a large table and ample seating for when you are spending time at the house. Beach is just down the path and was peaceful with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed using the fire pit and side yard to play bags and the game room was great. Only side note would be to bring ice as the ice maker wasn’t working and the nearest gas station store is 10-15 min down the road. Overall a great home and vacation!

Great Getaway

This cabin was perfect for our family. We had plenty of space for everyone, and it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our sunsets at the beach and watching the freighters go by. It was in a great location for day trips to the Soo Locks, Mackinac Island, and Tahquamenon Falls. I would recommend this to other families with kids looking to have some UP fun!

So incredibly happy with this property. Plenty of room for the six of us and very clean. Loved the close proximity to Lake Superior and the house had everything we needed. Easy to visit Soo Locks, tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks Seashore. Can’t recommend this property enough

Perfect cabin

Everything was wonderful at this cabin. My kids (ages 10 and 12) absolutely loved the game room and beach. The water clarity, color and calmness at the beach was beautiful, and it was such a treat to be on a private beach. It felt like the ocean. We also saw many ships going by. It was so quiet and relaxing. We also brought our dog who loved played fetch on the beach. The walk to the beach was very easy. The cabin was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. It had everything we needed, and lots of room. The TVs and Internet wi-fi worked great. The location was very good with a few nice restaurants nearby, and Sault Ste Marie only a short drive away. My family did not want to leave this cabin.

Peaceful Paradise

The beach is pristine and so easy to walk along the shore with the wild forest that creeps up to edge. All the properties are tucked back so you feel like you’re on a private beach. The view of the sunrise from the chairs on the outlook deck is incredible and so peaceful. Our kids loved running along the path from the property to the beach it was short, but added such a magical feel to the whole experience. The home is lovely with incredibly comfortable beds and very nice bedding. Even fans in all the rooms! The wood burning fireplace even had some wood ready for us and that was such a gift that we were sure to leave a pile for the next visitors. Our kids were constantly entertained in the game area when the weather was rainy and we loved that we could close the door and read or talk by the fire. Everything we needed was in the cabin and we were so grateful for the supplies in the kitchen. All you would need to bring is food, a tooth brush and a good book!

Great cabin. Group of nine fit really easily. Cabin is as described in VRBO. Host is readily available if any issues. We had none. Will let everyone know this is a great cabin to rent any time of the year.

A great place to stay with your family!

My son is getting ready to go to University, and this was our last chance for quality time together - just us. We drove to Whitefish Point and saw fox, to Saint St Marie and saw Locks. There was some surprise snow, but Kevin made sure the drive was plowed. It’s a really nice place to stay. Highly recommended.

Amazing Christmas and Birthday Trip! Excellent Host!

Kevin is such an amazing host! The property was was clean and everything was just as described! Kevin communicated very well with us and even had a reference guide prepared, he went the extra mile and gave us an additional day at no cost because we lost a day driving up. The cabin is such a beauty, modern updates with a vintage vibe! Our Christmas and my birthday (12/26) was a scene from a Christmas movie because of Kevin’s Cabin! Our children and 2 fur babies loved all the space and cozy nights by the fire place! Thanks Kevin for an amazing time and priceless memories!

Holiday gathering

My family are relatively small people who are comfortable in relatively small spaces. My large husband and large dog are not. So when we went up to the Brimley/Sault area for Thanksgiving, we wanted a space that would be comfortable for the holiday meal, and would also provide a good home base for us as we visited family, did some touristy stuff, and relaxed. Kevin’s Kastaway was perfect for all of this- and even more. All the amenities we needed in the house, plus multiple flat screens for enjoying all of the Thanksgiving weekend football. And- a historic lighthouse right down the road?! Fantastic!

The view of Canada and the mountains across Superior was mesmerizing. We think you will be amazed at the beauty that Lake Superior offers just as we were. The water is turquoise on sunny days. It will remind you of being on the ocean. The beach travels in both directions for miles of walking. The path to the lake is a short walk to paradise. The deck at the lake allows for great sunset watching. Snowmobile trails take you in all directions. Let us be your hosts.
