French doors look out onto the private lanai and frame the beautiful ocean view about 50 yards in front of the home. Lovingly refreshed to preserve the historic, rustic quality of this heritage home. There is a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, oven, fridge, dishes, pots and pans, glassware, utensils and silverware. Enjoy the combination clawfoot bathtub/shower, dining and sitting areas. Lots of room on the lanai for lounging or dining. Fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves!
Waimea Plantation Cottages features just 59 private plantation homes on 43 acres. Cottages are set in enclaves with large green lawn areas that roll down to the beach separate the enclaves. Tropical plantings between cottages provide privacy.

Note on beaches: the Waimea River enters the ocean about a mile east of the property bringing silt from the canyon into the ocean. The currents pull the silt along the ocean in front of the beach. There are two swimmable beaches with lifeguard stations nearby. Kekaha Beach, is a 5-minute drive to the West. It is the longest white sand beach in Hawaii. It is wide and flat. To the east near Hanapepe Town is Salt Pond Beach. There is a lovely protected swimming area, picnic tables and restrooms.
