Great long weekend
We went to Memphis to see our daughter perform at the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center. This house proved to be the perfect spot. The house is literally just around the corner from the university, 5 minutes from the botanical garden, 10 mins to our daughter's apartment, and 15 mins from downtown. The house is super cute and comfortable, and everything was in working order. The backyard has potential. If we had been there with young children, that would have been an issue, but we weren't. Sadly, the neighbor's long-ago-wrecked car is the first thing you notice when you drive up to the property, but you can't control your neighbors. This was the perfect choice for a great long weekend.

Father’s Day weekend getaway
My best friend and I surprised our husbands with a weekend trip to Memphis for Father’s Day! We have a baby that’s 6 months and my friend’s baby is 7 months. Overall the stay was good! However, I was disappointed to pull up and see the front yard was very much overgrown and the backyard (including the baggo area) was covered in leaves! The swing was almost broken, not sturdy at all and had no cushions like the picture showed. We had planned on sitting outside, swinging with the babies and letting the guys play baggo. This unfortunately wasn’t able to happen due to this. The inside of the house was great, just like the pictures and very clean! The neighborhood was quite noisy, especially at night. There was what sounded like cars racing, lots of loud talking/yelling and even fireworks at midnight. We weren’t a super big fan on this neighbor, especially at night, with babies (or even us) trying to sleep. The house was close to a lot of activities and we did not have to drive far to go to the places we wanted to! 3/5 overall rating!

Clean, Cold, & exactly as described!
I’m not leaving a bad review, more like a real review The inside is exactly as the pictures depict very clean, quiet neighborhood, plenty of cookware. Cozy feel with touch of cold The issues we had with our stay were the beds and the HVAC. If you like softer beds this is prolly your spot. We found that the couch was firmer then the bed and gave us a better nights rest! Our main issue was the heat in the house, we arrived on a Friday. The host had the heat on to 66, it was 40 outside. We turned it up to 68. We had been in the house for about 4 hours and we weren’t quite there. And it was still very cold in the house, we turned it up to 72*. We left for dinner. We returned at 9pm it was 70*. in the house and really felt just a little warm. The next day we were leaving for ikea at lunch time. I turned the Tstat down to 66*. We went to ikea and then had dinner and returned around 7:30. We walked in the house and it was cold in the house. I went to the tstat. It was “ Off “. It was 50* in the house. We turned the heat on and froze all night long it hit 27* that night. And the outside walls were ice cold . We woke up and it was 69 on the Tstat. The house was very cold 🥶 I have the same WiFi Tstat at our house We love it it’s very reliable but it has never turned its self off by its self....... Ultimately the issue with the heat is not the system but more the registers. The Vents are all facing the center of the house, as they need to be facing the outside walls. At this point your prolly thinking who is this guy, I’m a builder & have been doing HVAC for some years Over all our stay was good I wish it had not been as cold but it was everything that was described!

Just what we needed!
Our group of three had a wonderful time at this property! My brother, partner, and I quarantined here in a pod for two weeks before going to see my family for the holidays, and this place was just what we needed! The space was exactly as the pictures depicted--a spacious backyard and plenty of room inside for three people. As the pictures show, the backyard does not have quite as warm of a touch as the inside of the house, but the yard games are a fun addition. The bathroom is small, but worked without a hitch for three people. I do, however, think that accommodating the bathroom/shower needs for 4+ people for more than a weekend here would be quite a bit more complicated... The kitchen came equipped with a wide assortment of cooking tools: utensils, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, spatulas, can openers, pots, pans, a coffee maker/filters, etc. It also came with some pantry staples such as peanut butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper. The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood seemed totally safe. That said, there are not a lot of places within walking distance in terms of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and the like. This made little difference to us because we were having groceries/food delivered. But, post-covid, the location might have been a bigger factor. All in all, we had a great stay, and would recommend it to others without reservation!
