With wrap around porch, deck and new (2019) wood flooring in living area, dining area, kitchen and hall, this second floor 3-bedroom (with enclosed loft), 2.5-bath garden-style condo's main level offers a living and dining area (with cathedral ceilings), well-equipped kitchen, full hallway bathroom and three bedrooms, including the master suite (with a jetted tub too). The enclosed loft features a half bath of its own. Central air conditioning, well-equipped kitchen, washer, dryer and more. 3 TVs (all flat-screens), 2 DVDs, Wifi., gas fireplace Note: This Sea Colony vacation rental home features a half bath in the loft.

THINGS TO KNOW
There will be construction in the community from October 2023 through the spring of 2024. There will be noise related to various projects such as roof repair, piling repair, exterior painting, and road repair, but the vacation rental will be accessible at all times.
The Sea Colony Recreational Association requires a per person resort fee for guests ages 4 and older. This fee varies by time of year and is mandatory.
Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

Lakeshore fall getaway

My husband and I went for a few days in September to enjoy a little getaway. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, as nice as what we experienced in June when we went with our family. This unit met all of our expectations. Plenty of space to accommodate a large family. Kitchen was well stocked, very nice plates and glassware. Didn't do any cooking, but from what I seen, everything you would need was there. The appliances were newer and very clean. Plenty of seating in the living room and large dining room table. The screen doors need a little work. Biggest complaint would be the rugs in the bedrooms. They need replaced with new rugs or other type of flooring. Nice to have 2 showers in the master bathroom with combo tub. Upstairs bedroom also had set of bunk beds and a single bed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a larger unit and would enjoy the screened in porch as well.

Nice home in a nice location

Perfect for families with children, short walk to fitness center, splash pad, large pool, and tram just outside your door. Communication with Vasaca however was poor, cleanliness was poor.

Love Sea Colony

We have been coming to Sea Colony for the last five years and have stayed in four different units over that time. All of the condos have been great, but the consistent thing that stands out every year is Sea Colony itself. It has it all, and everything is easy to get to -- the beach, pickle ball and tennis, swimming and working out in the gym, restaurants. Our greatest joy is parking our car for the week and being able to bike everywhere we need to go (except for one trip to the grocery store at the beginning of the week). As for this unit, it is a great one. A wonderful porch for sitting, a lot of room inside, a quiet setting. A thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing vacation!

Spacious Unit - Needs Some Upgrades

The unit was spacious for two families. The kitchen went above and beyond as well-appointed with any appliance, dish, pan you could need. Even an excellent Keurig machine. The Tram is literally outside of the front door. The unit does need some upgrades, as the dishwasher and ice maker broke during our stay. The beds were uncomfortable with the master being in the worst shape. All of the furniture and carpets are stained. The pictures include a desk in the master and a TV in the upstairs bedroom but none were in the unit when we arrived. VACASA assured me they would bring loaners and fix the appliances, but no one came during our stay. Overall, not our favorite sea colony experience.

Second stay at Sea Colony

Second floor privacy and quiet location near fitness center were all pluses for this unit. Walking distance to the Aquatic Center was also a big plus. After the first night stay we discovered a few things that needed the maintenance team to take care of, which they did same day as promised. There were a couple of things we were not happy about, when we started unpacking food and kitchen items we discovered that the cleaning crew hadn't cleaned in or around the counter top appliances. The toaster, k-cup maker and stove top were disgusting. We also rehwashed the pots and pans before using them. They were caked with debris. The mattresses were definitely very old and creaky. The owner should consider investing a few bucks into new bathroom faucets and maybe new dining room chairs. I would have given 3-1/2 stars if able.

Great location!

This is a great location, plenty of space, and clean! There are some improvements that are needed (which is why I gave it 4 stars) - the master bathroom sinks both need service, one basically does not work, the dining table chairs are in bad shape, one is completely broken, etc. Otherwise, we would definitely stay there again. We loved that it was close to the gym, the pool, and a tram stop. The screened in porch was great too!

We’ll come back

Love the sun to sun rental. No traffic either way or lines checking in. It’s like you’re cheating. We’ve stayed in 6 different units at Sea Colony. This one’s location was best for us. We like to tram and ride bikes to beach. Tram Stop and main road is within view of porch. Gym and main tennis is a short walk. Unit has a lot of beds which works great for adding last minute guests. Did a few zoom work calls on the cool and quiet screened porch.

The unit was a disappointment

Broken glasses, torn duvet cover, dining table was not wiped clean. Porch table not wiped clean, dishwasher doesn’t clean the dishes well. The unit is old, not refreshed as necessary. I did love the location, peaceful and quiet. Sea Colony itself continues to be excellent in service and quality.

Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay. The property and community was perfect for our two families. We were a two min walk from an indoor and outdoor pool. Having access to the private beach was great as well. We used walking trail,?pools and beach every day. My only negative comment would be the outside door between the open porch and screened in porch was missing the screen. Thankfully it didn’t impact using the screened in porch as I didn’t notice bugs getting in. However, we had toddlers who insisted on climbing through the open part of the door and no matter how many times we explained not to do this, They thought it was a game. I didn’t think it was particularly safe to have the door left this way especially with kids. Other than that minor thing, our stay was perfect.

Disappointing & frustrating experience

First the condo we rented wasn't very clean or well stocked as advertized. The Wi-Fi never worked & I never did figure out how the linen service I paid for worked. In all the multiple, confusing, & sometimes contradicting instructions & rules from the owners, the rental company, & Sea Colony, couldn't find any info on how to get fresh towels. Also spent the first night without bed sheets for the pullout sofa (Which had dried Mac n cheese in it). The bed in the master bedroom was extremely broken down & uncomfortable. I'm a very easy going person & it takes a lot for me to complain. But after paying the high rental fee, linen fee, recreation fee, & booking fee, in the end I just felt taken.

Ok. Prob would not return to sea colony west.

Overall impression was that condo did not sleep 11 comfortably. No linens for pull out queen sofa. Refrigerator a little dirty. We were only people in our condo area but had to park a third vehicle in town for fear of towing. Called resortquest to inquire about 3rd parking pass and young woman was rude and stated it was peak season(lie) and many people would be coming as week went on and 3rd vehicle would def be towed. No. Not even close. We were the only 2 cars the whole week. 25 parking spaces empty. Spent $133 to park car downtown. Lifeguard at indoor fitness center kicked my teenage son and nephews out of hot tub but allowed 8 young girls very obviously under 18 to remain. Inconsistencies in life guarding. Certain pools not open for whatever reason. 5 kids on a swim team took an entire pool one late afternoon so we could not lap swim. WiFi in condo horrible. Not many tv channels. Bare minimum is the norm in this condo.
