This Miramar Beach locale is close to popular beachfront restaurants and friendly lively bars along Scenic Gulf Drive. It is within easy walking distance right down the beach to a palm lined boardwalk that parallels the shore in front of Seascape. Here you will find opportunities for all sorts of water sports including kayaking, surfing, parasailing, and jet skiing. Championship golf and tennis courts are also available at Seascape where Ocean Reef Resorts guests receive special rates. Nearby is a quaint beach side bar and restaurant known as The Whale's Tail that provides a perfect spot to grab a munch and your favorite frozen beverage. Other popular beachfront restaurants along Scenic Gulf Drive include The Surf Hut, Pompano Joe's, Captain Dave's and The Crab Trap which are only minutes away by car. Grand Boulevard Town Center is a pedestrian-friendly, shopping and dining complex just off Emerald Coast Parkway, convenient to both SanDestin and Miramar Beach. For the high-end shopper, the center offers everything from Fusion Art Glass Gallery to Brooks Brothers Country Club. A number of boutiques, such as Hello, Sunshine and Magnolia House, carry fare you can't find anywhere else. Dining options include Mitchell's Fish Market, P. F. Chang's China Bistro, and Cantina Laredo Gourmet Mexican Food. In 2013, Walton County’s first movie theater opened at Grand Boulevard’s Town Center – the state-of-the-art Boulevard 10 Movie Theater.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

We’ll be back!

We had a great stay at The Little House on the Beach! Are there a few updates that can be made? Of course! But I’m pretty sure all of us have updates we need to make to our own houses! It was clean and we loved the location! Next time we would love to see more places to hang wet towels and swimsuits- with so many people and all the towels used it would be nice to have more places to hang things. Pots and pans, as other people have suggested, could be upgraded but still worked fine for what we needed. Back door was heavy, but helped keep little ones in. You have to lift it to get it to shut completely but kept my 2 yr old from escaping on her own! Would have liked a lock on the top master balcony sliding door. Just the locks like the downstairs sliding doors had would be great, just to keep a toddler from being able to go out on their own if they happened to make it up the stairs unattended. The master carpet needs replaced but so does mine in my house. We had a great stay there it and definitely hope we can be back in the future!!

Perfect Beach House

We loved our stay at this property. We walked right out the back door into the sandy beach. Perfect location with a coffee shop right across the street too! The beach was beautiful and private so it want too crowded. The beach house was older, which kept this property more affordable than the surrounding properties but you can see they have updated the furnishings and decor to make it feel nicer and newer. We would stay here again.

Great location

Property is a perfect and plenty of room for everybody. These are amazing. We can get extra chair service besides what provided with the hut to the right on the beach right across the street you can walk over to get your deer if you forgot it. The only thing we would recommend is that the property update some of their appliances, Minor ones like the toaster and the blender. The toaster could not without burning things and setting up smoke alarm. Literally like bottom would be charred black and the top wasnt even toasted. Blender is just kind of weak.

Needs some updates but great location

I booked this property so my elderly grandmother could sit and watch the waves and have an easy access to the beach. The location of this property is great, we love the amenities across the street! The issues we found with this house is it felt grungy and not clean when inside. Bathroom in master needs to be updated the shower handle kept falling out on the kids feet, the chaise lounge was black from grime and dirt, paint peeling off the walls and cabinets, cracked and popping up floor tiles, air vents held on by tape. I don’t think we would book this home again until the updates were made.

Great beach house!

Check in was easy! This is a great place to stay directly on the beach. The owners could update the pots and pans and the shower upstairs worked but the tub did not. Other than that it was great!

Great company, if everything goes well

It would have been a great stay if everything was in working order, but I quickly found out that this company is so big that when problems arise, they pass the problem around to different departments, and the customer is lost in the shuffle. When the water was shut off at this property, we were given no communication by RealJoy. It was only after I reached out multiple times over the course of 2-3 hours that we were given a list of alternate places to stay, none of which were really comparable to the original property. Our new location was not beachfront, not near any shops or restaurants, and did not serve our purposes ideally. We took it because we had no other options. It definitely soured our vacation. However, if there were no issues with the house, it would have been a great stay. the location and size of Little House on the Beach was great. It's right across the street from a coffee shop, a DQ, and walking distance to a couple of tasty restaurants. It does have the normal problems that face a beachfront property; there was visible mold in the vents and there was a slightly musty smell, but if staying on the beach is your priority, these issues are easily overlooked.

Quick getaway

House is pretty good. Hated only getting one real day there with the 4pm checking and 10 am checkout, but that was what was available. Comforters and couch need cleaned, but rest of home was well kept. The sliding doors need maintenance, badly and only grown males in our group could full close one of them. The clothes dryer took forever when we washed/ dried one comforter at checkin and is probably in need of vent cleaning.

The Little House on the Beach was very convenient and offered easy access to the beautiful beach and places of interest nearby. The house itself was very roomy, but could definitely use some updates...furniture, paint, etc. Had some problems with the walk in shower downstairs draining. Overall we had a great trip.

Location and access to beach/local restaurants was great. The house was very roomy and we had plenty of room to spread out. Our only complaint was the bedding and pillows were not super comfortable.

Wonderful stay

We had a great time and stay at Little House on the Beach! Overall our stay was comfortable very relaxing. Beautiful views of the ocean and right on beach! No real issues with our stay. Check in and check out was easy. There were stains on the furniture, but hey its a beach house. Also, we had some tub draining issues in the upstairs master bath, so owners may want to address that. We would definitely stay here again again!!!

Beautiful but needs some maintenance work.

The place was exactly as you explained. We were disappointed with only 1 bathroom on the bottom level. All of the drains in the showers and sinks need to be cleaned out because they hold water and do not drain. The sliding door on the main level is terrible. It needs to either be replaced or fixed so it slides. The ice maker does not work properly, there were many times we had to purchase ice when we should Have been able to use that. The upstairs queen bedroom bathroom door does not latch. The bunk bed room was very hot. You also need new frying pans because everything sticks. Besides of all of those minor issues we had a wonderful time there. The views were amazing and the beach was perfect!!

Great location!!

Only issue I had is the Vrbo listing says it’s a 5 bathroom in the header, 4 1/2 bathroom in two other places in the listing and only says it’s a 3 1/2 bath in the body description so it’s confusing. It ended up being a 3 1/2 bathroom but we made it work. Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

Little House with a HUGE view!

This house was perfect for our family! Plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, and right in the beach! The only problem that we had was some issues with housekeeping. When we arrived, there was still food in the pantry from the previous guests and the trash cans outside the unit were overflowing with their garbage. Trash ran the morning that we got there - but the cans were never put out to be picked up. There was a wet mop left in the living room, the couch was dirty (but very comfortable!), and a cleaning rag left on the windowsill at foot of stairs on second level. Found out why this was there when it started raining - that window leaks terribly - even getting the floor in that area wet. Definitely needs some attention. The approach to the house from the beach was unappealing, as there were kid toys scattered all over the place. A lot of miscellaneous trash too. Overlooking all of this, we had a wonderful time!

Beautiful location but...

We checked in late Wednesday evening, this was a vacation request by my mom for the family as she is stage 4 pancreatic cancer and hospice has been called in, so we all came together to make this as special for her as we could, but by Thursday afternoon we were having plumbing issues so bad , feces was backing up into the bath tubs, I called and text several times in the afternoon with no response, finally we got desperate bc no one was responding to us and we couldn't use toilets or water or anything. After speaking with Lisa she called and said she put an emergency call into Roto-Rooter, by 9pm still no response back, I called again, I said is that the only company you have there must be tons of plumbing companies to call, so they called one more... she called me before she left that evening at 10 and told me no one had returned any calls and assured us they would be there first thing in the morning. I explained in detail to Lisa about my mom and this was unacceptable, her cure was to move my mom and dad to another place for the evening, but i'm sorry for someone who has cancer and is weak as it is, moving her in the middle of the night and separating her from family when this is what she wanted was not an option. The next morning I was up early...by 8am still no response from anyone in regards to the situation, I then started reaching out to Real Joy after trying for about 30 minutes , a lady by the name of Michelle told me everyone knew the issue and they were all working on it, and waiting on confirmation from roto rooter as to when they would be there. ...what happened to first thing in the morning- well it was almost 11 am before they showed, completley putting our day off to a rough start bc no one could shower or do anything, then had to wait for the cleaning crew t o come clean the bathrooms from the back up. The neighbor told us this has been an ongoing issue. While I appreciate the gift card and flowers send for my mom, it doesn't take away the time of our vacation ruined bc of an inconvience that could of been avoided. Then Saturday evening before we left we noticed some of the tubs upstairs starting to back up, beyond ridicoulous if your aware that there is a major plumbing problem take steps to get it resolved. Also we notcied several roaches in the home as well, and had to be cautious about this, as that was disgusting. he unfortunate part is the home is beautiful, perfectly sitauted on the beach and close to many things

Beautiful property right on the beach!

We had a lovely time in this beautiful house right on the beach! It was centrally located to everything we needed and walking distance to several places we enjoyed. We did not encounter any problems while we were there and had good communication with the Property Management before hand so we knew what was provided and what was not and check in was a breeze! The only suggestion would be that they provide beach towels as they are bulky to pack and the house is on the beach. Otherwise it was perfect! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home

This home was perfect for our cousins reunion. We loved the fact that we were able to hear the ocean 🌊 waves at night and watch the sunrise and sunset everyday. Not everyone was up for sunrise lol. The only issue we had was there was no internet when we checked in but we told the propert manager an they got it handled right away and had internet the next morning. Overall a great experience I would definitely recommend to anyone who especially wants to stay on the beach. The private beach was a huge plus an being on the beach was awesome because we were able to go to the beach from 3-sunset every evening an not have to worry about packing up a car to go back home. If your looking for an easy beach vacation this is an awesome option.

Overall a great experience. The lower rating was because when we arrived, the townhouse was not clean. We had to wait a couple of hours to get in for it to be cleaned. The property management was responsive with the issue. The location is good and the views from the balconies were amazing!

Location was perfect

The location of the property was perfect. The beach was amazing. Our beach had much less people at it than ones nearby which was a perk. The balconies on the house were wonderful. The bedrooms could really use some updating and more storage for clothes. We really never could unpack due to lack of storage in some rooms. Adding rugs to balcony entrances downstairs would help control sand a lot. That was a big challenge for us. The curtains need to be replaced in bedrooms. The size of the house was perfect for holding our family and allowing us to have separation as well when needed. Overall, we picked this house for location and beach….we got what we wanted. It was a great week with family.

Family Beach Vacation

Excellent location and great space for our 3 families (6 adults, 2 kids). Property is a bit rough around the edges (loose shower support handles, sliding doors hard to operate and don't seal, and carpets/ rugs could stand to be cleaned), but the location is perfect. Close to amenities and away from large beach crowds. We enjoyed our week of stay here.

Great location & spacious house

This property was in a great location with direct access to the beach. The living room and dining room were more spacious than they appear in the pics. We had a party of 10 and had plenty of room.

Property was clean , right on the beach and location was central to all that was going on . I would stay here again - great family vacation for 10 people!
