Truly a nature immersion. Rustic but cozy mountain cabin retreat nestled in the middle of 33 acres of pristine forest. Enjoy fishing in the two stocked ponds and relax in the tranquility of the Blue Ridge. An excellent wilderness Glamping experience! Cabin by the Ponds

Very quiet & secluded location. Google maps took us to the precise location. Be prepared to drive down a lots of gravel roads, which is part of the attraction. The cabin is a quaint, rustic place that is very comfortable for a couple for several days. Decor is appropriate to a cabin. The location is about 35 minutes to Christiansburg, 40 minutes to Blacksburg, and about 20 minutes to downtown Floyd. Floyd is a gem of a town - a great surprise with restaurants and shops and friendly people. Really enjoyed out stay altogether.

The property was in a great location. It was peaceful it was quiet it was beautiful. The cool crisp air is a pleasant change of the hustle and bustle of a city. Definitely the kind of place you want to come to and wind down and forget about the world.

The best quiet getaway

What an amazing stay! This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this property. It’s the perfect getaway for ourselves and our two dogs from the big city life. You get all the seclusion you would like with all the modern amenities you need! We look forward to going back.

Beautiful Forest Cabin Getaway

What an incredible stay. Beautiful cabin tucked away in the woods. Had so much fun fishing and hiking. This is pretty wheelchair accessible too on the first floor, plenty of space to roll around. We loved the stars and sky at night. We can’t wait to return. Owner was great with communication as well and so so kind. Thank you!

Loved it the minute we walked in. So thoughtfully appointed with cabin coziness and decorated so tastefully. Milda was very responsive and helpful. Its off the beaten path but thats what we were looking for. Did alot of walking and some fishing. Really hope to return in the fall. Thanks Milda!

Cabin in the Woods

Very peaceful cabin. You travel up a gravel road past an old barn and around a pond to the cabin. A very authentic mountain cabin retreat. We really enjoyed the tranquil setting and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Little slice of heaven for nature lovers

We stayed at Buffalo Hollow for 3 days surrounding the time we dropped our son off at Virginia Tech. It was about 40 minutes away from campus. We enjoyed the nature and quality time together as a family - playing music on the CD player, game nights, enjoyed a campfire and roasted hot dogs and S’mores, and fishing old school with cane poles in the ponds out front. Our dog enjoyed running around the large property and having a nice break from the hot and humid Charleston weather! No cell service or WiFi in a few spots along the roads to the cabin itself so I would recommend having written directions or taking screen shots as the turns can be a little tricky, especially in the rain or at night! Cabin has WiFi so if you need to get online you can. We tried to take a break from it all as much as possible 😊

If you looking for a private in the woods destination, this is your place. Town of Floyd is close by with cute shops, artwork, and live music. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need. Hiking, fishing, firepit with plenty of wood to spare. It's a romantic, spiritual, exhale location for anyone who loves the woods and if this is your first time, this is the place to try.

Quiet and serene

Love the quiet atmosphere. The place is wonderful. It was hot while we were there so we missed having a/c but otherwise we were very happy. We even stayed 2 extra days!!

Hubby & I had a GREAT getaway!

We stayed a week, of a 2-week getaway vacation here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! If we had questions or needed any info. Milda was on top of things, immediately, from day one of considering booking to checkout! This is remote! The kind of remote that if you want to fish nekked, I guess you probably could. (Not saying we did...lol!) We did day trips to all of the surrounding small towns and into Roanoke, just sightseeing, antique shopping, eating out, etc. We had no specific agenda in mind on this vacay. We took a cooler, which ended up being a perk so we could have snacks, cook (yep...I mean ME) breakfast, etc. Everything is in the kitchen that you need for small meals. Yes, an ample frig once you got there but it worked out well for us to have drinks and extra storage for a week. After driving from Magnolia, TX, we were ready for relaxation time and this was the ultimate. Enjoyed the atmosphere of Floyd which is a quick 14ish miles away. If you want solitude, this is the place! If you're not used to roughing it slightly, you might need to book a hotel but we highly recommend you do this! Due to the time of year, in one week, we went from 90 degree weather (using fans) to the 50's (using the wood stove). A day or so of heavy rains and we were thankful for the great internet service to just lay around and watch a couple of movies! We enjoyed one night outside firing up the fire pit and having a wiennie roast! Nice, comfy beds, lush towels and all the amenities supplied for you. We're hoping to return at some point since our visit was so relaxing! Thank you for being there for us, every step of the way, Milda!

Family Getaway in Nature

This was our second time staying at Buffalo Hollow. It's a great property for a true getaway. So secluded, beautiful, and lots to explore including the fishing ponds and trails on the property. Our two boys and dog enjoyed spending several days outside. The property is about 20 minutes from Floyd, with live music and some good restaurants.

Amazing Quiet and Rustic Cabin
