Beyond expectations

We've stayed in many places before but this one was the best. So clean, so quite, so organized, nothing was overlooked. Didn't want to leave. A mix between a comfy home and an upscale hotel. Soft bathrobes were great and the beautiful welcome basket was so appreciated. Stocked with coffee and hot drinks and when we cooked a couple times, sharp knives!!! Truly the little things mattered. We will be back to McCall (bc we loved it) and will stay only here.

This was the best equipped property I have stayed at in several years. There was not one thing missing that we needed. The property is very attractive and functional. Location in town couldn’t have been better. Covered parking was a nice bonus.

Family ski weekend

The house is beautiful & equipped perfectly! We enjoyed a long weekend with our kids while we hit the slopes. We were able to walk to dinners & grab coffees because of the location. I appreciated the communication, both before & day of our reservation. We will definitely be back for another stay!

Perfect for our week in mccall

It was clean, the kitchen was perfect to fix morning coffee and breakfast. It was walking distance to practically everything "McCall". The beds were great. The staff of the property was also very good. I have nothing negative to say.

Perfect Vacation Rental

There are not enough words to describe our wonderful Lake Getaway condo rental at McCall! We have stayed at many condos and houses across the USA and have never had a nicer, cleaner, more beautifully furnished place!!! There was absolutely NOTHING that the condo did not have! When we arrived, they had a beautiful gift basket full of bath salts, bubble bath, candy popcorn, …etc! They had several games that we played, as well as, everything they you need to spend a day at the lake, from chairs to coolers to a blanket for a picnic! We highly recommend it and will definitely be back! The owners were precious and so nice to answer any questions that we asked!

Winter getaway

Love this property! So thoughtfully appointed. Proximity to all the downtown things is fantastic but it still feels serene. Second time we have stayed here and we will be back. Clean, delightfully decorated and super cozy, comfortable furnishings.

Excellent Rental with Superb Location

House was clean, comfy, and right near everything. McCall doesn't have to good of an Uber system so being able to just walk home late at night makes things very easy. Loved the stay!

Spending time in McCall is like stepping back in time. Everything slows down and there's nothing more to do than relax, enjoy and explore.

We both lead busy lives. Rick is a property manager and Candice an elementary school teacher. Over the years, we've traveled extensively, staying mostly at vacation rentals. Through our experiences, we've learned the most rewarding qualities of a vacation rental. Such as, updated well-kept furniture and appliances; plus quality bedding and linens. Most importantly, a kitchen that is well stocked with dishware, cooking utensils and sharp knives! Nothing is more frustrating than trying to cook with old, secondhand supplies.

Being history buffs, we have researched extensively the history of McCall. From its early Native American inhabitants; lumber era; to modern-day recreational resort town. Our love of McCall and its history can be easily seen throughout Lake Getaway's interior. Be sure to check out Lake Getaways "History of McCall" binder, photographs and vintage postcard collection.

Since purchasing the property in 2020, we have explored and enjoyed McCall's many beautiful surroundings. We love boating magnificent Payette Lake and paddle boarding near North Beach. Hiking and picnicking Ponderosa State Park and Upper Payette Lake. As well as skiing Brundage Mountain and soaking in the local Hot Springs in the winter. Not to forget, playing golf at the beautiful alpine courses of McCall Golf Club, Jug Mountain Ranch and Meadowcreek Golf Resort. We share our local favorites with you in our "Welcome Guide" that can be used as fabulous resource for places to eat and explore during your stay.
