Welcome to Grizzy’s Getaway. Completely refurnished in the fall of 2020. Enjoy the peaceful serenity offered by 2 wooded acres. NO SMOKING OR PETS ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISES. The perfect escape for families, guys trips, girls trips, couples, wedding parties and friends. Within a short drive of several parks/beaches, downtown Holland and Holland State Park. One mile from Kouw Park on Lake Michigan. All the amenities you could want or need including an exercise room, full laundry room, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, darts, outdoor playscape, basketball, fire pit, gas grill and more. Equipped for remote working or remote school with Wi-Fi throughout, desks in three rooms, wireless printer/scanner and high speed internet. Sleeps 16.

The open concept main level features a living room with vaulted ceilings, large windows and a gorgeous two-story double sided fieldstone fireplace. The beautiful, open, well stocked kitchen has newly finished hardwood floors, maple cabinets and stainless steel appliances. 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and the laundry room round out the main level.

Head upstairs to the generous loft area that has artful custom built bunk beds, a daybed and an arts and crafts area.

The finished walkout level features a large family/recreation room with 65” TV , game closet, pool table, foosball table, Galaga/Pac-man arcade machine, dart board, ping pong table, bar area, kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, 3 bedrooms and a full bath.

Tons of outdoor activities on the property including basketball, cornhole, spike ball, outdoor Yahtzee, and swing set. Fully stocked exercise room located in third car garage stall (heated in winter). Enjoy your morning coffee or a nightcap on the large covered front porch or on the back deck or patio. Roast s’mores over the fire pit while watching the occasional wild turkey stroll by. No matter what outdoor spot you pick, you will be able to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the 2 acre wooded lot.

Downtown Holland is just a 15 minute drive offering great shopping, restaurants, breweries and entertainment. Holland State Park known for its sugar sand beaches, beautiful sunsets and views of the "Big Red" lighthouse with paddle boat rentals and playgrounds is just a 12 minute drive away.

Family Getaway

Property was just as advertised. In beautiful condition with a lot of extras....and I think we used them all!!! Lots of kitchens supplies and appliances. Lots of dishes and silverware. Plenty of seating for our large group. The yard was great for outdoor games as well as the fire pit was terrific for roasting marshmallows. The home is close to multiple beaches to enjoy Lake Michigan as well as close to Holland to load up on supplies. Bedrooms were well split up so no one felt on top of each other and the play/activity room on the first level kept our kids well entertained. The homeowner was very responsive to all requests and followed through on everything. Couldn't have asked for more!

Great trip!

We had a wonderful week with our extended family. Close proximity to the beach and downtown Holland made it ideal for shoppers and beach goers alike. We took a morning trip to Mac Woods Sand Dunes and watched the sunset in the evenings at either Tunnel Park beach or Ottawa beach. The property was secluded with lots of outdoor activities to enjoy. The lower level had lots of board games as well as ping pong, darts and Ms. Pac-Man. Angela was easy to reach and quick to respond to questions! Thanks for a great week!

Girls’ Weekend Tulip Festival

Comfortable, extremely clean, quiet location, relaxing, awesome property! This was a perfect get away weekend for our ‘girls’ weekend’ which included 4 gals age 55+, four gals ages 28-38, and 2 little girls ages 5 &6! I highly recommend this beautiful house!

Beautiful and comfortable

This is a beautiful home, spacious, clean and a great layout for a family gathering. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The lower level was a fun place for kids to hang out, play pool, foosball, ping pong and Ms Pacman. The out door area was great for outdoor meals, for kids to play, and for s’mores around a campfire. The host, Angela was easy to contact and happy to help in any way needed. Location is close to parks, beaches and Holland attractions. We were delighted with this location.

Heaven in Holland

This is our third stay at this beautiful home, the second with this wonderful owner . Our grand children want to stay there forever and never go home. The layout is perfect for our family of 12 of plenty of space for everyone to have their own area. Angela was wonderful to work with on each of our stays and very helpful, whenever we have asked a question about, anything. Our favorite VRBO spot for sure.

Great Place

Loved the home and all the fun things to do for the grandchildren. Front porch for morning coffee’s, back deck for eating dinner and socializing. Close to Holland, golf course’s, Craig’s Cruisers, plus other fun spots. Highly recommend.

1st Family Vacation

This was the perfect house for our 10 guests. 7 adults and 3 children. They provided a packnplay and baby gates to keep our toddler safe, plus endless activities inside and out for the older kids. The Holland area was perfect for us. We visited a different park/playground every day, got to enjoy 3 beach areas, and visited several local attractions. Thank you for the memories!

Wonderful Property

We had such a nice time staying in this home. It was very, very clean. There were many things to keep the kids occupied, inside and outside. The neighborhood was quiet and close to downtown. I would definitely reccommend this VRBO listing.

Lovely home with a lot to do!

We had a group of 12 adults, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone! The home was beautiful and the layout suited our group very well. The setting was gorgeous, awesome bonfire pit and a lot of fun things to do inside if the weather isn’t wonderful.

Great place to stay for large family

We enjoyed both the inside and outside of this home. We dined on the rear deck every evening. The small children enjoyed the play set, and everyone played in the yard. S'mores around the fire were great. Plenty of beds inside. Tranquil location. We would certainly stay here again if back in this area.

50th Wedding Anniversary Family Trip

The property met all of our expectations and then some. It was well stocked with items needed for daily living. Property was very clean and centrally located for our visit. This was our first VRBO experience and we were very pleased. We had a BBQ propane gas issue that was addressed by host. The only suggestions we offer would be additional kitchen towels and washcloths.

Nice Family Getaway

13 of us including our adult kids enjoyed a week together at "West Olive". The house was as advertised; large and spacious and clean. Plenty of sleeping room. There were extras like beach chairs and coolers that were nice as we made trips to the lake michigan beaches close by. We enjoyed the basketball hoop and the firepit a number of times. Pool table was smaller than it looked in the pictures but we played a lot of ping pong so it didn't matter. Downtown Holland was 20 minutes away and a lot if fun. Would definately recomend the house for large parties.

Wonderful friend retreat!

Our three families (10 kids, ages 10 and under) had an amazing time at this property! We used the loft area as a playroom for the kids since it does not have doors/is open to the main living area. The kids loved all the games in the basement. We loved having a fire and roasting s’mores. The kids also loved the basketball hoops outside. The location feels secluded but is also easy to get to different places. We loved the Dutch village, Tunnel park and the Farmers Market. Great place to stay!

Wonderful stay!

This is our second stay at this lovely home. Every detail is done so well: FULLY equipped kitchen with ample pots/pans/small appliances. Plenty of dishes and glassware for our large family. Even basic spices and other pantry staples. Dish and dishwasher soap are supplied, as is laundry detergent. Nothing is second rate. The owner is very responsive for questions. The location is great for enjoying Lake Michigan and the Ottawa County parks. Thank you, Angela, for your hospitality!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3-generation vacation in this very warm and welcoming home. We loved the downstairs game room and all the activities the property offered both indoors and outside. The location was perfect, in a wooded setting, and close to both Holland and Grand Haven MI. The property hostess was very accommodating, and quick to answer my plethora of questions. If we vacation in MI again, I would definitly rebook.

Beautiful Cozy Home

Beautiful, clean home. Very comfortable with tons for families to do. Kids loft sleeping space was amazing. The kids loved playing in the space. Family game room made an excellent hang-out space for man-cave game watching, and family ping pong matches. Would definitely stay there again when the weather isn’t so cold and we can enjoy more of the outdoor space.
