Great location!

We love staying in this area. Condos in this complex are generally a little less expensively priced than others. Think this results from being a somewhat older building. However, the overall facilities are well kept. Each individual apartment depends upon the owner of that specific unit. We've stayed couple places in this complex and find the specific units to be pretty nice. Not fancy and perhaps somewhat dated...but clean and very workable. We were there for two weeks Jan/Feb 2025. And of course....GREAT LOCATION.

Short getaway

My girls and I booked last minute trip to go for a long weekend and see Kenny Chesney at the Wharf and spend Memorial Day, great location and very clean. Highly recommend for small group.

Annual Beach Trip

My friends and I have stayed in this condo the past 4 or 5 years. We are already discussing next summers trip.We love the condo and its location. Everything you want to do is very close distance. Its very clean and well maintained. The owner is great to communicate with. I would definitely recommended this condo to friends. We had a great time!!!

The furniture is dated and one of the kitchen chairs could not be used due to the seat splitting apart. There was quite a bit of sand still on the floor when arriving and the whole unit could’ve been cleaner. It wasn’t bad but not the best either. Location was great along with the beach access!

Great vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, new furniture (different from the pictures and nicer) and the view was amazing. Great area as everything you need is walking distance. Sea n Suds oyster bar and grill next door and grocery store and souvenir shop across the street. The only minor drawback was the construction workers working on the roof at the time and the elevator quit on our last day and we were on the 6th floor. Other than that, everything was great! We will definitely come back!

Great location but it needs newer furniture and the elevator needs maintenance.

The view is outstanding! I sat on the balcony, drinking my morning coffee, and watched the dolphins. The dolphins swam by around 7 o'clock. It's a 1/2 mile walk to the Hangout, not too bad. The elevator is very slow and sometimes doesn't work at all.

Location, location, location! Right on the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and stores. We stayed for 6 nights the beginning of June. My biggest complaint was that the ocean view from the windows was blocked due to deterioration between the window panes. Could only see the ocean partially, due to that. I let management know on check out and hopefully they will fix that. Most likely will not return to this location. PCB has way nicer condos for way less money. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view with a bonus...washer and dryer!!

We had a wonderful time staying in Golfshores. The condo was great although it was a little outdated for my style. The washer and dryer are a bonus for sure! The only problem I had was the fact that it was on the six floor and the elevator would take for ever or even sometimes not work at all. The ventilation in the master bathroom seemed to not work so well and the actual showerhead was not held tightly to the wall. But all minir problems. The pool was fantastic and so was the beach! Definitley will stay again for sure!

Great Location, but...

Not a bad stay for the money; but definitely needs some updating. Kitchen appliances and living room furniture were very good. A rain/wind storm during our stay took out the TV, but management was very responsive, and thanks to Billy was fixed in no time. Balcony furniture and weather stripping under the back door (which allowed slight amount of rain to be blown in), as well as the master mattress, all need to be replaced. Balcony railing and floor need to be refinished. Washer & dryer in master BR not a good idea in my opinion.

Just okay.

The condo is very outdated, in need of some cosmetic repairs as well. Bedding was very old and worn down. The floors were also dirty, could feel sand and lots of hair in the bathrooms. Maintenance came early one morning to put something in water heater and caused the entire condo to fill with smoke, was never contacted or apologized for the inconvenience. For the price there are better options.

Clean,good location, not enjoyable a total rental

Upon getting to property elevator broken - we were on top floor 6th floor, lug everything up later the next day the elevator was working. However pool was closed after the 2nd day and remained closed for maintenance the rest of our stay. The unit was clean but definitely a rental. Drywall repairs not complete in almost every room, not a matching piece furniture, unit in desperate need of a total makeover for the price we paid. Bring your own cook wear as every showed serious wear and tear. Stackable washer and dryer plumbed next to dresser in master bedroom but not vented outside. Not certain anything has been updated in some time. Will not be returning to this building Island Shores!

Really dated. The patio furniture is cheap plastic. The bunk bed sheets on the lower bunk were clearly not changed, a jolly rancher was open and wrapper laying beside it under the comforter. The top bunk had no sheets. My daughter slept on top of the comforter and used a blanket out of the closet, she unfolded it and found some dried goo, not sure what it was, so clearly it had not been washed either. The kitchen counters were dusty and the dishwasher had powder of some kind all over the handle and front of it. Looked like seasoning of some kind. The bathrooms were very clean and the floors throughout the condo were also clean. The air conditioning worked great so that was a bonus. Overall, I would not use this property again.

Decent Condo at a Great Location

The condo was decent. The beach access was great. The washer and dryer combo in the condo was nice to have. It worked well for our family. The couch is a little dated and you kinda sink when you sit on it but the recliner they had was nice. Everyone liked the beds. Great views from the balcony. The kitchen was well stocked. The only issue we ran into is the ceiling leaking when it rained. It's obvious that this has been an issue for sometime as there was several water stains on the ceiling and holes. Looks as if whoever is in charge of maintenance is just spraying popcorn ceiling back over the issues and not actually fixing it. We had a couple of slips and falls on the wet tile before we realized where the water was coming from. We ended up putting down towels and putting out bowls to catch all the water when it got really heavy rains. Had we not had to deal with that I would have given it more stars.

Not impressed with this condo. I will not rent it again, too many things wrong with it and it was not cleaned properly, we moved a chair and found a piece of pizza under it! Wall plugs along the couch side wall didn’t work, bed rail on the top bunk was loose, sheets for the couch were stained badly altho they were clean they looked horrible. Could tell that the owners didn’t spend any $$ fixing this place up to make it nicer. Things were kinda cheap! Definitely not worth the price but we made it work and had a good time anyway. Lesson learned and keeping this one in my book to be sure I don’t rent it again. I will just have to look for a different place next time. This is really only the first time I have not had a quality condo rental from VRBO so not holding it against VRBO just think the owners need to upgrade some things in this condo.

Disappointing and would not stay here again.

I want to start off saying the I knew this unit was dated by the pictures and I was fine with that. But this unit is rough! I read reviews and thought this place will be fine. We don’t spend a lot of time in the room anyways but the only good thing here was the beach view and the bunk beds. Dead bolt on front door didn’t work. One of the outlets in the kitchen you could tell had caught on fire at some point. Couch is nasty. Ceiling fan in master did not work. Balcony light was out. Many of the lamps did not work. Remotes did not work. I am usually not one to complain but I felt others needed to know what they were getting into before staying here. I would have been ok with this place if I paid $400 for three nights but I paid over $830. This condition is not acceptable for the price. When in the room you just could not sit comfortably. Kids said the bund beds were fine. The showers only stay hot for about 5 minutes. Then to top it off the elevator broke on day two and this unit is on the 6th floor. Unit needs a good deep cleaning. Chucks of dust on pictures mirrors and vents.

Nice condo but pricey

The condo is a bit dated but it has a great view of the beach and a nice kitchen area which was stocked with plates and accessories. It was perfect for our short stay but was a bit pricey.
