Das Haus selbst ist gegenüber dem Zugang zum Strand und hat Blick auf den See von seiner großen Terrasse. Es gibt einen beheizten Pool und einen Whirlpool im Freien für all Ihre Sommerunterhaltung. Draußen gibt es viele Sitzgelegenheiten mit einem großen Gasgrill, sodass Sie die Sommertage mit Freunden und der Familie verbringen können. Keine Sorge, die Eltern, der Pool ist durch Tore gesichert, damit die Kleinen nicht hineinkommen können. Der Hof ist ebenfalls eingezäunt. Schlafzimmer Nr. 1 auf der oberen Ebene hat eine Königin, Schlafzimmer Nr. 2 auf der oberen Ebene hat zwei Zwillinge, Schlafzimmer Nr. 3 auf der oberen Ebene hat einen König. Schlafzimmer Nr. 4 in der unteren Etage verfügt über ein Etagenbett mit zwei Einzelbetten oben und einem Queensize-Bett unten sowie ein zusätzliches Einzelbett. June Friend Beach Vacation

Our stay was fabulous. Everything was clean and tidy, the pool was a game changer with the kids, there was an abundance of towels, and the private beach was such a perk. We had 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 3 to 8, and we would absolutely stay again.

House was exactly as described in the listing. The hot tub was not working for our stay do to a backordered part but we were informed ahead of time. The heated pool was by far the best part of the property for us. We had 4 kids and 10 adults and we used the pool everyday. The private beach you have access to is ok and very rock heavy but it is private to the neighborhood. New Buffalo beach was awesome and worth the money spent for parking and only 5 minutes away by car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely would book again. Carie was very prompt with any questions that we had.

Not worth the price tag

This was our third time staying in New Buffalo (an area we love) and our first time at this property. The positives were there is a small neighborhood beach very close by that was nice to walk to and have a look at the water. It's small and rocky but still a nice thing to have. If you want, you can also walk to the main street of shops and restaurants from this house. We enjoyed the large above ground pool, the Pacman game was fun, and the house was big enough for the 9 of us. The cons were that there are many things that need fixed and cleaned up at this property. It seems overall neglected. It was also not very clean. We found moldy old coffee in the coffee pot, the fridge was very gross, there were smears of something sticky on the glass table, and we had several rusty bolts on the deck that we almost stepped on. Some chairs on the deck were almost completely worn through. The king size bed is so high it's hard to get up on and none of the beds were comfortable. The rails for the upper bunk bed were held on with zip ties. Plugs wouldn't stay in most of the outlets because they need replaced. This rental was about 3-4 times as expensive as where we have stayed before, maybe they can charge that because of inflation and demand, but we won't choose this property again.

Management Company ruined our experience

The house was decent the mattresses on the beds could definitely be updated. But the house had some nice features close to beach, nice pool and hot tub. However our main problem was with the management company Lake Effect Vacation Rentals. We were shocked when we were home about a week and got a letter stating $200 of our security deposit was being kept. The reasons stated in the letter were ridiculous, furniture moved, towels left in the outside pool box and blankets used that we're in plastic bags. None of these things were true all the towels were washes, furniture was not moved and there was plenty of blankets in all the bedroom closet so why would we have opened any other blankets. the gas grill also did not work it would lite but it wouldn't stay lit. During our stay a lady from the rental office came out and she could not ge it going either. We voiced our complaints to the rental manage and her responses were ridiculous. I kept all the mails. She then sent us photo copies of pictures that she believed proved her allegations you could not even tell what the pictures were of. She also sent letters from a cleaning service and a maintenance man that were not on any letterhead we could not find record of the cleaning service. We had to buy charcoal and lighte fluid so at least we could cook on the charcoal grill. If I was the owne of this home I would check ou my management company, they have complaints on yelp, Better business bureau and through new buffalo chamber of commerce. We have stayed at numerous houses during the last ten years and have neve had a problem. It was a shame our experience had to be clouded by your management company.

Great location and amenities

We stayed here for a family vacation and it worked out perfectly. There were enough bedrooms with bed configurations that worked. The pool was the biggest hit. You are close to town and so many more adventures.

Great place to stay

Overall, very pleased with our experience staying here. Communication prior to arriving was challenging at times but once we arrived it was easy to get a hold of the host when needed. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of service during our stay (the host had let me know) but the pool was heated and absolutely perfect. The house was clean, comfortable and waking distance from town. Would highly recommend and stay here again if we make another trip to New Buffalo. Thanks!

Lovely property, close to everything you want or need!

We loved our stay. The home is deceptively large, from the outside you would not believe it has five bedrooms and two living rooms. Seating was plentiful and we loved the heated pool. Definitely would stay here again.

Great place

This house is absolutely stunning. The host was very responsive and the property had everything that is needed for a getaway. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit, patio and hot tub and the neighborhood was beautiful. I walked over to the private beach and the area is so tranquil. The short ride to the sandy beach was quick and very relaxing. I will be returning in the near future and we thank the host for allowing us to utilize her beautiful home.

Family vacation

First thing we all would like to Thank you for the wine and fixing for the s’mores also it was very gracious of you to supply play dough for the kids, they really enjoyed it. We had a great time at your home and really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. They were a big hit with everyone, especially with as hot as it was. A couple of things that we would suggest is that the toaster wasn’t working so a new one would be appreciated by the next renter. Also covering the outlets with outlet covers for the safety aspect. There were a couple of places that the outlets were unsafe. We went to the private beach and it was very rocky, not one that we could spend the day at with small children. There really is no beach. We did go down to see the sunset and it was beautiful! All in all we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Pool was great, the rest not so much.

Not a beach near by, but it was a small rocky cove. Not many electrical outlets in house and our plugs kept falling out of them. 1 outlet in 1 bedroom did not have a cover. Fire pit had 2 broken chairs. Hot tub water was cloudy and the pool heater was sitting in a box in the yard. Kudos to management for fixing both of those quickly. Front door lock broke, but it also was fixed quickly. House was dirty, poorly maintained with furniture that was past its expiration date. Poison ivy growing along the front walk. Lovely fridge and good stove.

Ok for pandemic year vacation- charged as if lake front and it is NOT

House would have been fine accommodations except it was dirty. Hair and dust in all corners of room. Do not look under the furniture! We wanted to checkin early but was told COVID cleaning extended the cleaning time, we could not tell. TVs in room do not work with cable, need to bring your own devices to hook up. Pool gates are very loose and broken down, need some attention. “Private beach” is not ideal for the day. It’s a shared small space about 20 yards wide, that is NOT sand as pictured. The pictured beach of sand is the public beach down the road which was very nice but had to pay everyday to go. Just hard to pack up when you are expecting to keep to self during a pandemic time. We booked this and paid what we did thinking we could isolate and couldn’t. Difficult to be pregnant and not be able to join crew at beach bc no private area you planned on. They also came to spray for mosquitos in middle of day, no warning to us. Had to make arrangements to keep kids away. Too pricey not to fit description.

Accommodating beach rental

Overall this house fit all of our family's needs. We were able to take our boxer Shelby and there was enough space for our kids to spread out. The karaoke and pac-man machine were a highlight. The beach (all rocks) was literally across the street which was nice to watch the sun set each evening. The kitchen was ok. The soap dispenser in the dish washer is broken but it still worked ok. Overall, the house served our needs. The pool isn't that deep but the weather only allowed us to enjoy it a few days anyway. Typical beach "2nd" type home. Location was great.

Sadly our worst vacation - beware the dirty house, dangerous poison ivy and rude property manager

We rented the house for 2 weeks leading to July 4 to get some well needed family time away. We were hoping for a serene vacation but got a much different experience, in an Ill maintained, dirty, grimey, somewhat dangerous house with an unprofessional, rude property manager. Cleanliness: The house was dirty, sticky, smelly, dusty and old, the couches stained and broken, the kitchen stale, and clearly has not been well maintained. Luckily we brought our own bedding, as many were torn and old, and since the towels were musty and flaking, the property manager arranged some new ones as we couldn't use the old ones. The toilet overflowed many times when we arrived and twice someone had to come in to fix this. The main couch in the living room is not only old but also broken in the middle which made it very uncomfortable to use. Pool: The pool in itself was descent, I'd give it a 6 out of 10 (and definitely not worth what we paid) but it was promised to be heated and we couldn't use it at least 2 days because the heater malfunctioned (it said so clearly on the control panel). Luckily the very nice guy from the pool company was accommodating and communicative and did his best to replace it, which allowed the children to continue using it later on. Poison ivy: the front of the house is full of poison ivy. This has already been mentioned in one of the previous reviews from August 2019 so we assumed it was all taken care of. Unfortunately it wasn't, and two of us got a bad poison ivy rash. To which the property manager alluded that we brought it from Chicago. The property management: Whenever we rightly complained about cleanliness, pool heater, broken toilet etc, she suggested sending a handyman/cleaning lady to fix it. When I stated that it was not our job to entertain her handymen she falsly blamed us for not letting the handymen in ("if you refuse their services I'll have to charge you") even though we did. Disregarding our time, she gave us vague notices on when someone should arrive ("I don't know when, I don't own the company") I would have loved to post all the fun photos and texts from her as they speak for themselves but regardless, a professional property manager would never treat their customers so rudely, and would have made sure to address all the problems in the house between occupancies. We had a very challenging vacation, not calm or serene, and we absolutely do not recommend this house.
