Perfect Poconos getaway

Great alternative to area hotels - perfectly situated within every location we were planning to hit - very clean and comfortable (especially the bed), and felt bigger than the square footage. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Perfect Honeymoon!!

Newly renovated property that is well maintained with all the comforts of home. All rooms and amenities were well stocked. Host was very responsive to all our questions. Check in/out procedures were a breeze. Host even surprised us with a bottled of champagne on ice, champagne flutes and a balloon bouquet. Really started our honeymoon on the right note . We will definitely be spending our 1 yr anniversary there. Definitely a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!!!

This place is extremely welcoming. The quaint inside provides all needs for your stay and has been set up in a way for a comfortable little getaway. Though off of a Main Street with some road noise, it didn’t really bother us. Would stay again!

Cozy and convenient

This was a 2 night stay for me where I was in town and needed a bed for the nights. It was a small apartment but worked for me. A bed, bathroom, large screen tv, kitchen with refrigerator! All I needed, just as described. Thanks!

Lovely stay in Stroudsberg

James' cozy apartment in East Stroudsberg was perfect for us. We hiked and visited with family during the day. The kitchen was well stocked so we mostly cooked our own meals after a day out hiking or visiting. Supermarket and restaurants are close by. The space was very nice with great TV setup in living room for evening relaxing after a long day of activities. We would definitely stay again!

Clean, but loud

The space is exactly as pictured, in fact, it was bigger than expected. It was clean and everything we expected was there (hair dryer, soap, dishes ..). The only reason this wasn't a 4 or 5 was due to the tenant that lives above the VRBO. He was awake at night and every night around 1:30 became very loud sometimes yelling at the top of his voice It sounded as if he was playing a video game. It made a full night's sleep not possible and we left tired looking forward to sleeping elsewhere.

I don't feel safe in the apartment. The safety lock in the kitchen windows are broken. The window glass in the bathroom is broken. You could hear the tenats/guest walking upstair. The house is situated on the main road and you could hear the traffic throughout the night. Otherwise the place is clean, kitchen utensils are provided.

At the time of booking was looking for someplace affordable to breeze through with a buddy. This didn't meet the expectations of cleanliness, location, amenity, or general experience. The place is not particularly clean, not particularly well located, and not particularly well run.

Very noisy 4th of July getaway

I had decided last year that I needed to go to the Pocono Mtns for the future 4th of July holiday to escape all the fireworks that were going on in my neighborhood. My dog gets so anxious that she paces back and forth and barks at every single boom boom sound. Well I reached out to James to ask him if there was any fireworks around the area and he said no, not on his property. Wouldn’t you know that there was fireworks at a property directly across the street which sounded like it was going off literally right outside the windows. It didn’t stop until past 1:00 am!!!! Needless to say we didn’t have a great night of sleep. The apartment is in a house with many tenants so you constantly hear the ceiling creaking every time the people upstairs walked. It’s an old house and I noticed there was many window locks broken. I didn’t feel safe sleeping on the ground floor with the windows not being able to lock. I didn’t know what was going on in the bathroom window…. Also, the shower curtain needs to be replaced and have a plastic liner. There was only the fabric curtain and it would get wet with people’s dirty body water which overtime left the curtain having a horrible foul stench in the bathroom…..The house is located on a busy street so it’s very loud. So if you are looking for a quiet escape this place isn’t for you.
