For a more authentic vacation experience and an alternative to the beach, Casa Guarda Costas offers a charming option for a smaller group of visitors to Los Cabos. Just a few minutes from downtown, and within easy access of nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment, this cozy home in the Chamizal section of Los Cabos feels more like its own private escape, surrounded by the appeal of a residential setting.
The multi-story home is truly unique in its design, with some surprising additions and inclusions as you move from the indoors to the outdoors. The main living space includes a statement-worthy light fixture suspended by the true focal point of the room. This is where a red brick, almost cathedral-like ceiling tops a cozy couch and seating area, a flatscreen television, and a circular dining table for four. Nearby, a galley-like kitchen includes shelving and cabinetry, a stainless-steel refrigerator, and seating for two at a wrap-around counter. A similar brick ceiling tops the kitchen, as well as one of the home’s bedrooms. Traditional Terracotta tile flooring and arched doorways are additionally repeated throughout the home.
Some of the private bedrooms feature large built-ins, while a third bedroom offers a bunkbed and desk. Three modern bathrooms with gold fixtures and glass enclosed showers, another small living area with a TV, plus some functional space, including built-in cubbies and a stacked washer/dryer further add to the home’s interior. The unconventional design of the home transitions to the outside, as a slanted, thatched roof shades an outdoor terrace with seating and another dining table for six.
An outside staircase leads to a partially shaded roof terrace with more seating, offering an ideal spot to take in views of the surrounding neighborhood, without ever leaving the property. Down on ground level, the property adds some other surprising amenities, including an extremely private swimming pool and Jacuzzi, almost hidden from the outside as this space is encircled by tropical landscaping and florals. Lounge chairs line the pool, as do two swings. Dine from home, as this space also includes a covered outdoor kitchen, complete with its own thatched wet bar and grill.
Base Rate is for up to 6 persons. Each Additional person is $50 per person per night.
• Groups under the age of 30 and party groups are not permitted.
• Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.
• Any illegal drug use will result in immediate eviction.
• Outside guests are only allowed with prior written approval.
**Important Notes:**
• Gated communities observe a 10 PM noise curfew. Excessive noise or unruly behavior may lead to fines or eviction.
• Upon arrival, a signed check-in document and a valid credit card are required for any fines, damages, or incidentals.
• A photo ID for the primary guest and a full guest list (names and ages) are necessary to confirm your booking.
• Holiday stays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Week, and New Year’s Week) are non-refundable and non-reschedulable.
