Serene Sanctuary in Whitianga is a luxurious holiday home that is beautifully furnished and at the same time very warm and welcoming.
The holiday home has 4 bedrooms. The master has a king bed with an ensuite, a heated towel rail and a large shower with a rain shower head. Bedroom two has a queen bed, bedroom three has a double down single up bunk bed, and the fourth bedroom has a queen bed, a bathroom and a kitchenette with a small fridge and a microwave. The large main bathroom has a large shower and a bath. There is a very cool loft area with a TV, this could be a great space for the kids to put a couple of bean chairs up there and enjoy their own space.
There are two lounge areas both with large doors leading onto the wrap-around deck, which creates lovely indoor/outdoor flow, and both have comfortable seating with the main lounge also having a flat-screen TV. The dining area has seating for 6 people and there are also extra seats around the kitchen island bench. The kitchen is modern and bright, it has a wine fridge, a dishwasher and everything else you will need to make cooking your favourite holiday meals a breeze.
When you make your way out onto the deck the calm and serenity you feel will instantly relax you. There are a couple of sun loungers on one side of the deck where you will also find the spa pool. A great way to enjoy your evening looking at the stars.
The deck off the second lounge and kitchen has lovely outdoor seating where you can enjoy sitting around the table or enjoy the bar leaner, this is under cover, and there are doors and sides that can be closed off to protect from the weather. Off this deck and onto the patio there is an outdoor fireplace, great on those cooler summer evenings, get the fire going and enjoy a couple of drinks and conversation.
There is car and boat parking, the boat ramp isn't too far away so no excuse to get out and enjoy what Mercury Bay has to offer. If you are lucky enough to catch fish then the house also has a fish filleting bench.

Whitianga is a popular holiday destination located on the Coromandel Peninsula. It is the gateway to some amazing beaches and scenery. Wandering the shops is a good start and if you get a bit peckish head to one of many delightful eateries whether it's a pie and donut, or a sit-down lunch with a cold beverage. There are plenty of options. There is plenty to do for the kids as well with mini golf, movies, an awesome skatepark and kids' playground, and of course, there is the Mercury Bay Museum. For adults, a trip to the Lost Springs Thermal Spa and Hot Pools is a great way to spend a couple of hours relaxing in tropical surroundings. If you make your way to the wharf you can catch the passenger ferry to Ferry Landing & take a walk over to Front Beach. Tour boats also leave from the wharf which can show you around the area and stop close to Cathedral Cove within the Marine Reserve, watch the fish, go for a snorkel, or take a cave tour. If fishing is your idea of a good time, there are plenty of Charters that can take you out. Or you could take a drive out to Hahei. From here you can take the 40-minute walk to world-renowned Cathedral Cove, or you can head to the beach where there is a water taxi that can take you. Hot Water Beach is not to be missed. At low tide dig a hole and you will have your own hot pool! Spades can be hired from the local store.
