The Space:
At the end of a long driveway, you'll find spacious Shining Sun ready to welcome you and your family. There is plenty of room for parking in the driveway and even enough room for a boat trailer if you happened to bring yours along. Step out of the car into the lush native landscaping that offers privacy and a bit of an escape from the rest of the world.
Head into the home through the front door and step into a large living area with high vaulted ceilings and ample seating. There's a smart TV to catch up on your favorite shows or movies or you can cast your eyes out the numerous windows looking out at the greenbelt that runs behind the house. If the kids don't want to hang out with the adults, they can head upstairs to the loft that has a second smart TV along with gaming chairs and cool, upscale beanbag chairs.
When it's time for dinner, there's a full kitchen to whip up a delicious meal or you can grill something up on the deck outside. You'll find tables and chairs for dining both inside and out, so you get to decide where best to enjoy your meal.
At the end of the day, you have three bedrooms that you can curl up in. Bedroom 1 offers a four poster king bed with an en suite bathroom that has a jetted soaking tub with shower. There's also a glider chair should you need to rock any little ones to sleep. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and Bedroom 3 has a queen murphy bed. Both are near the second full bathroom that includes a soaking tub with shower.

Guest Access:
We offer convenient keyless door codes for self-check-in. Portoro Homes uses smart locks with check-in details provided 48 hours prior to arrival by email and text message.
• Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.
Getting Around:
Austin is an easy city to get around without a car in this location! Walk, rent a scooter or bike, easy access to Uber/Lyft. Austin offers plenty of transportation options. Ridesharing, micro-mobility, and mass transit are available everywhere. The airport is just 15 minutes away.
We also provide guests with a full list of recommendations and services. This information can be found in the House Manual upon check-in.

Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines.
- All guests staying at one of our Portoro Homes are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Portoro.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- Stays over 29 days – please inquire separately for terms and conditions.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both the City of Austin and the State of Texas requires all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6% and the city requires 11%.
- YOU ARE HELPING: A portion of the city hotel tax helps support Austin's musicians and related businesses.
- This is a No Pets property. A daily rate fee of $150.00 will apply for violations and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
Interaction with Guests:
Portoro Homes communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 48 hours prior to arrival date (keyless entry). We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check with no need to stop in at a local office. We do typically check in with guests by email/text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions/inquiries. We are available to guests 24/7.
We follow the CDC and Airbnb Recommended Cleaning Guidelines. You can rest assured this property has been completely sanitized prior to check-in.
