The Space:
At the end of a long driveway, you'll find spacious Shining Sun ready to welcome you and your family. There is plenty of room for parking in the driveway and even enough room for a boat trailer if you happened to bring yours along. Step out of the car into the lush native landscaping that offers privacy and a bit of an escape from the rest of the world.

Head into the home through the front door and step into a large living area with high vaulted ceilings and ample seating. There's a smart TV to catch up on your favorite shows or movies or you can cast your eyes out the numerous windows looking out at the greenbelt that runs behind the house. If the kids don't want to hang out with the adults, they can head upstairs to the loft that has a second smart TV along with gaming chairs and cool, upscale beanbag chairs.

When it's time for dinner, there's a full kitchen to whip up a delicious meal or you can grill something up on the deck outside. You'll find tables and chairs for dining both inside and out, so you get to decide where best to enjoy your meal.

At the end of the day, you have three bedrooms that you can curl up in. Bedroom 1 offers a four poster king bed with an en suite bathroom that has a jetted soaking tub with shower. There's also a glider chair should you need to rock any little ones to sleep. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and Bedroom 3 has a queen murphy bed. Both are near the second full bathroom that includes a soaking tub with shower.

It's easy to get caught up in the relaxing atmosphere Shining Sun by Portoro offers, but don't forget you are just minutes away from Lake Travis and more! Here are some suggestions to check out on your visit:

Guest Access:
Portoro uses smart locks. Guests will receive a designated code for their stay 24 hours prior to check in and once the guest agreement is signed and the reservation is fully paid. Guests have access to the entire home and can utilize the entire driveway for parking, but are asked not to park in the grass as it could damage the septic system.

Getting Around:
Austin offers plenty of transportation options. Ride sharing, micro-mobility, and mass transit are available everywhere. Lake Travis is less than 10 minutes from the home and the airport is just 35 minutes away.

Other Things to Note:
Please pay close attention to following house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines.
- All guests staying at a Portoro home are required to sign a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Shining Sun is in a quiet neighborhood with a sound ordinance that lists quiet hours being from 9:00pm to 7:00am. Please keep outdoor sound to a minimum during those hours.
- Age restrictions apply. Please inquire for more information.
- All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing which is 10.
- Over occupancy will result in a fine up to $250 per additional head or $2000 if any kind of event or gathering with unregistered guests is occurring during a guest stay. There is a digital occupancy monitor to help enforce this policy.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Portoro directly.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- No open flames or candles in the home or outside of the home.
- No Smoking or Vaping on the balconies or deck. Do not discard cigarettes on the property or in the house. Bring your own vessel for disposal or place fully extinguished cigarettes directly into the outside trash.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- The home has cameras for external monitoring only.
- Reservations made during festivals and conferences are nonrefundable.
- Both the City of Austin and the State of Texas require all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6 percent and the city requires 11 percent.
- A portion of the city hotel tax helps support musicians and related businesses.

Interaction with Guests:
We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts in advance. If the house happens to be ready earlier than our standard 4 pm check in time on the day of your arrival, we, in most cases will allow an early check in. For a reliable alternative with guaranteed check in or check out timing, it is recommended to book the night before or after your scheduled arrival or departure.
