The space

A well-stocked kitchen & incredibly cozy furnishings will have you unwind in no time.
The space
Enjoy this newly upcycled Hill Country homestead hidden in 10 wooded acres only 9 miles from Wimberley Square! This inviting and thoughtfully furnished 4 bedroom / 3.5 bathroom retreat sleeps up to 16 people comfortably. Barefoot-friendly floors, a peaceful ambiance and open spaces make this beautifully functional farmhouse a gem you will want to return to again and again.
LIVING & DINING
The living area provides ample seating to wind down in the evenings with a queen sofa, full loveseat, 2 comfortable armchairs and several extra mid century and bamboo chairs. The dining area hosts great holiday dinners with a beautiful family table for 8 and seats another 2 on the adjacent island counter stools. Enjoy a relaxing morning, afternoon or evening on the (bug proof) screen porch, which is great for board games or big outdoor dinners in the evenings. Find additional dining space outdoors in the adjacent main deck & the picnic table on the lower grounds. Ample storage space next to the refrigerator provides an accessible pantry for guests' groceries.
KITCHEN
Start your day with your favorite coffee or tea, watching the deer from the back deck in the early hours. The newly built, compact and well-stocked kitchen packs everyday tools, small appliances and cookware (including non-stick, cast iron, a crockpot and wok) to cook great meals together. A gas stove / oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher and microwave provide modern amenities to fully enjoy your time. Savor the minutes - this is when the best memories are shared!
BEDROOMS
The private Master bedroom (queen) with en suite sleeps two (2) on the main floor. Upstairs, the West and East bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Each upstairs bedroom (one queen and one twin in each) sleeps three (3). The bunk house has 2 queen beds, a set of twin bunk beds, and an extra twin bed. The queen sleeper sofa in the living area accommodates two (2) more. The main level also provides a convenient half bath and laundry area near the back deck French doors.
OUTDOORS & GROUNDS
The open living, eating and kitchen areas on the main floor access a wall of French doors leading to a spacious deck. With lounging, eating and grilling space (don't forget the bag of charcoal!), the deck steps down to the grounds, picnic area and nearby fire ring. Take a seat in the surrounding adirondacks for the best night show in starry evenings - great for stories late into the night :). We have a hot tub that is great for a sundown soak, and nature trails all over the property for you to explore.
Enjoy privacy and quiet nature on the grounds as you wander through strands of oaks and junipers. Meditate and breath deeply through the quiet garden. Or walk down and explore the large rocks and ravine of Juniper Grove's seasonal dry creek. Can you spot the deer paths? Here, the land keeps kids of all ages exploring Hill Country nature at its best.

Hang your hat at the entrance, take off your boots & come right in!
Guests have access to both houses and the entire property. Privacy is utmost as you don't share the property with other guests during your visit. Feel free to explore the grounds, seasonal dry creek, quiet garden, and fire ring throughout the 10-acre grove. Please note that the entire property is NOT fenced so a watchful eye on kids and pets is prudent.
Please be respectful of neighbors and enjoy the ample property within its boundaries. You will find an overhead map of the property and its borders in the Welcome Book.

Other things to note
Cajun Moon is located in the Texas Hill Country. As such, there are many common critters and wildlife that roam the area including spiders, deer, armadillos, etc. Please remember that you’re in true countryside; we recommend closed-toe shoes outdoors and a healthy dose of common sense when moving around the property and rolling terrain. This inviting homestead has stairs and is not child-proof. Keep a watchful eye on children and pets at all times.
Internet speeds are great for surfing the web, email, etc. Due to the seclusion of the property, we rely on a line-of-sight connection which may not be fast enough for HD video streaming.
