Casa Carolyn is the perfect getaway for a family or couples. The large primary suite features a wet bar and a private balcony with partial views of the Gulf of Mexico. Two additional guest suites, connected by a bathroom in between, are perfect for children. One even features a quaint patio that overlooks the pool.
This great property is located near the entertainment and restaurant venues on South Padre Island, so you and your guests may choose to dine-out every night. However, for those who wish to dine-in, the kitchen is fully-equipped for the chef of the group to entertain and enjoy!

Townhouse near beach
Great stay!! Plenty of room for everyone with a group of 7 ( including a baby and pre teen) kitchen had everything you need, blender included! We loved the pool and minutes walk to the beach. A/C worked really well! We would definitely stay here again! 👍👍

Great location, 3 min walk to the beach & the pool in the back really helped with the kids when they wanted to swim late at night. Spacious home, everyone had there own space!

Great Location!
This place is perfect! Entrance to the beach is right across the street maybe 5 minute walk. Plus the private pool helps when we get tired and my kids still want to swim. Everything was clean and kitchen has everything you could think of! We will stay again!

Amazing Proximity to the Beach
We loved casa Carolyn. The house is spacious, clean, and well decorated. The proximity to the beach for us was the plus! You literally just cross the street. The private pool was great for the kids to play. Husbands watched the kids in the pool while we cooked everyone’s meals. It is a calm street with a lot of families (no crazy parties near us). Be aware that the parking is outside. The garage has the owner’s car ang boat. But this didn’t bother us. They also don’t have a grill, but we brought a small portable grill with us. My only complain is that they left very few hygiene products. They have the one toilet paper for you to arrive, but usually other Vrbo proprieties I stayed leave a few extra more. So be aware and bring more dish soap, toilet paper, paper tower, and garbage bags. Besides that we loved and would definitely will come back!

Spacious House in Great Location
This is a nice, clean spacious house within walking distance to the beach and the small pool (with pool toys) was great for keeping the kids entertained. The pool light did not work the third night, but that wasn’t really a problem. I was disappointed that such a nice house didn’t have nicer beds. The website doesn’t give details about the sizes of the beds. The huge master bedroom has a queen size bed that sits very low to the floor, the small middle bedroom has what appears to be a double and the other very large bedroom has two twin beds. None of the beds were very comfortable to any of us. You would think that such large rooms in a house of this caliber would have good quality king size beds for more comfort. The other inconvenience was the lack of a kitchen wash rag and extra toilet paper and trash bags. I did receive an email from the Front Desk notifying me that there would be one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll of paper towels and one trash bag (which was kitchen size) and to take extra. Overall, it is a fantastic place to stay, but we have stayed at other places that offered more welcoming amenities.

Parking Problems
This property is an ideal location. We were a block away from beach access which allowed us to walk to and from the beach. From a housekeeping perspective, we had a pillow case with a dirty band aid and bath towels with black stains that made them look dirty. The pool is much smaller than what it looks like in the pictures.
Our biggest complaint is the parking. Although we were told we could take two vehicles parking was an issue. While we were at the store, the owner came knocking on the door and after knocking three times he proceeded to unlock the door!! He then asked for vehicle to be moved so he could take his truck out of the garage to go pick up his boat. He told us we couldn’t park either vehicle there until he brought back both his truck and boat. I called property manager and they asked us to park one behind the other on the other side. We then headed to the beach and about an hour later were notified we needed to move our vehicles yet again or they would be towed!! This was a huge inconvenience and interrupted our day out at the beach!

Great Family Getaway
Property was very clean and close to beach access. Pool was small but clean.
Issue with property was only back door to pool, wouldn’t close at all. We had to put a table to keep it close. When ever wind picked up door would open and a lot of heat would come in causing bottom floor to heat up.
Overall experience was great. I would definitely recommend this location and I would stay here again!!!

House is big but needs work and limited parking.
Arrived at the Padre Getaways office and the staff was very friendly. Check in was quick and easy but this is the moment we find out we can't use the garage due to the owner was keeping their vehicle in it. We thought this shouldn't be a problem since we listed the vehicles and info when we signed the rental agreement they should know we need at least parking for a Ford F150 and a small suv. Right?! Nope. We arrive and there's a small boat and small palm tree on the left side of driveway for decoration and rock landscaping on the right side of driveway so parking was very tight. We had to take turns getting in and out of vehicles. If you park behind each other, the back of one vehicle sticks out into the street a little which wasn't bad until after a good rain. The people in the back car get to step out into a pond due to no drainage. The house was very clean but furniture was outdated. The headboards and footboards on both twin beds would fold in when kids sat on them. The sofabed mattress was clean but so thin I don't think there was cushion left on any of the springs. Our kids would sit on the black bar stool chairs to eat and chairs wouldn't hold them up. They would have to get off and raise chairs back up then sit down again. Pool was clean but there were loose tiles between back door and pool. These tiles were about two feet away from pool so you have to really watch where you step. Back door to pool has an alarm ringer that didn't work. It's suppose to alarm when the door is open so people would know if kids went out to pool since there is no fencing around pool. Back yard gate on side of house didn't have a lock so kids could walk right in and jump in the pool. The upstairs room that overlooks the pool, if you walk out onto the balcony you have to be careful not to touch the handrails because the bottom left side is not bolted down and the whole railing is not solid. Feels like it would fall with very little pressure. View is also blocked because tv dish is mounted on the handrail. The outdoor grill listed was a small round charcoal grill that sits like 16" off the ground. Washer and dryer are in garage and and we were allowed access to them but the door knob would come off when trying to shut the door from the kitchen. Both air conditioners worked great. We kept the house at a cool 71 degrees the whole week so that was nice. All appliances worked great. We will look for a different house our next trip down to SPI.

Big house with private pool
This house was so great to stay at. It was clean, spacious, and a great location. It is very near beach access. We felt safe staying here during these odd times and we will definitely stay here again. Only recommendation I would suggest is a bigger and softer mattress in the Master bedroom especially with the size of the room.
