I really wanted to like the cabin as we looked at a lot of properties. This one was picked for the view and that it was stated to be remodeled. However, red flags started going up weeks before our visit when I couldn't get a response from the owner. It took 3 tries on my part with 15 days from my 1st attempt until I got a partial response. My last message asking for a contact # in case we had difficulty getting in, was never responded to. The ice maker/water dispenser on fridge was broken and tap water was very metalic tasting. The air hockey table was broken, and the pool table was not full size. The first night in the King bed we heard a loud pop and we were clinging to the sides, upon looking under the bed in the morning we saw the supports were bent. Called the owner to be told they lived in IN and it would be at least seven hours before they could get there, not sure why there isn't a local property manager, and no idea what we would have done had we not been able to get into the cabin. The stove and bathroom light surged on and off. The floors were filthy leaving feet and socks black. The showers (except lower level) are 3x3 stalls. Flooring in upper bathroom was separating. Dryer didn't work well, towel hook fell off wall, chairs bolted to floor, so only two can sit to watch tv 20 ft away. Light bulbs out, stained curtains, sink sprayer didn't work, towels/washcloths very thin & small, lots of air fresheners covering smoke smell.
