Nice Cabin Not clean

The cabin was in a good spot that was not very far from Pigeon Forge. The cabin also had a nice layout that worked great for an area for the kids to play and sleeping arrangements. However, the cabin was not very clean. It seemed to have just been spot cleaned in a few places for an extended amount of time.

Enjoyable

My family enjoyed the cabin and it was well located, offering both a true mountain area experience and close enough access to the tourism areas. The cabin was clean. It is older, which was fine for my group. The yard could use some cleanup- but it was the end of fall, so leaves everywhere are expected. The host are gracious and responsive to questions. We would gladly utilize the cabin again for family gatherings.

The cabin was advertised on Vrbo for less than $200 a night by the time all the fees were added it almost doubled .to a little less than 350 a night. The cabin would have been well worth $200 but not 350 almost. The cabin was a nice cabin just run down a little bit

Smoky Mountain Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at Quails Retreat. It very well fit our group of 12 which included four active kids under age 8. The quiet mountainside privacy was very welcome especially compared to the traffic, noise and busyness of Gatlinburg. The game room was a fun area for all but especially great to segregate the kids at times. We looked forward to the outdoor fire pit but all the chairs in that area were literally black with dirt and tree debris. My wife had to bring out a bucket of soapy water to scrub down the table and we had to place towels on the chairs to sit. A major pressure washing is needed. Which brings me to the overall condition of the place - if you're expecting new and pristine this ain't it. Well worn and comfortable better describes it. Cathy would be well served to invest a couple weeks of her $2000 weekly rent into some upgrades - kitchen chairs so wobbly you think they'll collapse - a couple living room chairs that have so little support you think you're going to the floor (one of which I lifted up looking for a toy and found a good 2 years of crumbs and dust underneath). The 3 bathrooms were great to have and we enjoyed the front porch. We'd stay again.

Quick girls trip

Everyone enjoyed their stay. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked well along with coffee pods, some snacks, and bottles of water, and it was very clean. My friends enjoyed the hot tub (I forgot my suit!) both nights we were there. I could have hung out there the entire stay. It was very relaxing and a there was a lot of room to spread out. The road is very steep to get there so that might be something to consider when staying there. Cathy was very easy to communicate with as well.

A awesome stay with Cathy cabins

She recommended a local pizza spot which was convenient since we didn’t want to get lost again.. The cabin was beautiful the views were stunning, we goneon plenty of vacation and this one was my favorite by far.. Also we seen some wildlife plz understand when you stay you won’t wanna be a tourist because the cabin is such a magical spot!!

Cathy thinks of all the extras to keep things stress free like coffee, creamer, beach towels, hand soap, laundry soap. There was even snack cakes in the kitchen. We had an excellent stay and everything was clean. The cleaning person was very good. We did see a bear roaming around and that was exciting. Only 15 mins from town and easy parking area for at least 5 cars. You can't go wrong at one of Cathy's homes. The hot tub was a big plus. Cathy is easy to message with any questions. Wifi works good and so does tv. Remember to bring a citronella candle for outside. The bed we had was so comfy. Can't say to much good about our vacation in this home. We all loved it. My kids n grandkids are asking to go back again.

It felt spacious and has nice features to keep everyone entertained. The pool was a hit for our group. About a 20 minute drive to Pigeon Forge, but we enjoyed being far enough out from the craziness, crickets and birds! We had a little issue, but Cathy quickly responded and corrected. I highly recommend booking a stay at any of their cabins. Fantastic service!

We originally bought this as a second home to which we retired. We loved the tranquil setting, the view of the smoking valley and the fact it is close to all the shopping, restaurants, amusement parks for grandchildren and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Although we now live across the county close to a daughter and our grandchildren, we invite you to enjoy this lovely log home while vacationing in the Smokies.

The cabin handles a large group well. There are spacious rooms - many directions to spread out from the great room to the large sunroom and back deck with HOT TUB, lots of parking, a two car carport to allow for dry unloading regardless of the weather, a level wooded lot, wildflowers that delight the eye, a great valley view and large kitchen with pantry and full sized laundry.
