Towels & Linens:

Great view, roomy, quiet west end of Panama City Beach

Overall we loved the location, roominess and comfort of Aqua Vista 506E. Parking was plentiful, check in was easy. Balcony is big enough to accommodate our family of 4. Beds were comfy, living area is wide open. Second balcony off master bedroom wasn't really used, but did give a nice view of Front Beach road and some of the cruising vehicles. Beach is great, easy access and steps from the parking area. Pool was warm and enough for our needs. Hot tub was great too, but the jets in it didnt work.Only reason for 4 stars was cleanliness and some other small items. Overall cleaning could be better. There were coffee grounds in the coffee maker, an empty water bottle under one bed in the 2nd bedroom, unclean floors and dishes (we actually loaded the dishwasher right away because silverware plates and bowls didn't look clean). The doorwall windows could use a cleaning too. we were surprised that they were as filthy on the exterior as they were since they could easily be cleaned from the balcony. Microwave door was tricky to keep closed, smoke detector on wall opposite the oven went off when we opened the oven door after preheat. We turned off the a.c. since it wasn't warm enough to use it until our final night and when we turned the system on, it didnt appear to cool the condo. It is a bit of a dated unit, but not a major issue to us.BeachBeach Road

Nice stay overall.

The location is absolutely great! The place is a bit outdated but very roomy. We had a family of 5 and had plenty of room. Communication with the host was great as well. Can't do much about the weather we had, but overall we had a great time!

Great place to stay, close to ocean. Ceiling needs repaired and carpet needs replaced. Overall it was a quiet place and enjoyable. Parking was an issue with construction and locals parking there during the day/night for the beach.

AquaVista stay

The location is towards a quieter part of the beach so there was always plenty of room at the pool and on the beach itself. The unit is rather outdated and needs some TLC but is is adequate, and we were there for the beach not the condo. So in that sense it provided a very good accommodation.

Cleanest condo / beware of outside repair work

This was probably the cleanest unit I’ve ever stayed in! The views were amazing as we could see the beach and the road from the living room. We could watch the sun come up from the master bedroom balcony! Per previous reviews, I agree it could use a little updating in the bedrooms but not a deal breaker! Only negative was the limited parking and outside updates during the peak season. Stucco being blasted onto our vehicle (the few times we actually got to park at AV and not across the street) and coming out of condo and being blasted with stucco/water. Elevator was a nightmare. I tried speaking with on-site management but was met with hostile attitudes whose response was, “HOA scheduled repairs” and “condo owners knew about it for over 2 months” so we just gave up! Had it not been for this, this unit would have been perfect!!

Unacceptable filth. Say no to 506e

The location was great to beach and other places. Winn Dixie and CVS right across the street. I would stay at these condos again but not at 506e. We arrived at 3pm but check in wasn’t until 4 pm so we had to use a port a potty in the front of condo. There is street construction right in front of the condo so a little of a pain but not too bad if your not running in and out. Unfortunately this condo was not clean. It has a lot of potential but it seems like no one cares to take the time it needs. The kitchen floor was not clean. Neither were the counter tops. We killed 17 cockroaches during our 5 day stay. I sent a message to the manager on the 2nd day thru this app and received no response I also answered a Survey from the management company regarding check in and cleanliness of condo. Gave feedback about the bugs and got no response. We had to make sure the food was closed and not sitting out. There were several cockroach carcasses lining the floor next to the refrigerator. There should have been a complimentary bottle of raid under the sink. I mean really we understand that old buildings can have bug issues but we spoke to other renters in the same building and they did not have the problems we had. There is no excuse for the bugs and the uncleanliness we experienced.

Description of property is extremely misleading…..

The one star is for the view and the quick response of the property manager. The property was not at all what I expected. The main issues were the cleanliness of the property. We found 2 roaches, dirty qtips, one room had stains on the sheets, the keurig part of the coffee maker did not work(and of course that's what I bought first), and the other side was dirty(still had old coffee all in it). Other issues that we irritating was none of the remotes to the tvs worked properly. The one in the LR didn't work at all and the other ones would only change the channels and that's it. The ceiling is falling in in the living room and bathroom, the cabinet drawer in the bathroom just falls out, the ceiling fan in the double bedroom doesn't work. Other things that were a disappointment was the fridge not having an ice maker, and the gate to the beach only works sometimes. There were several times where there was a line to get in bc the code had to be put in over and over until it finally did work, and the last thing is the lack of parking for "non-passenger vehicles" which translates to a trailer.....there was only one spot where we could park with our jetski and we had someone park there one of the days so we had to unload the trailer which was pretty inconvenient. I think we got lucky with the one spot bc if ONE other person would have brought one we would not have been able to park.....which would be semi understandable if we did not have to pay $50 for a parking permit for it.

Pros and cons

I never write reviews, but realize this information can help the next renter make an educated decision, so I will list the pros and cons. Pros: Great location, with grocery across the street and close to Pier Park. Beautiful view and condo is roomy enough for five people. Furnishings have been updated since the photos were taken. Not the cleanest condo, but we didn't experience the bugs others have mentioned. It was comfortable enough, but not as nice as some others at Aquavista. I did call the after hours number twice with issues about the elevator, and they responded promptly. Cons: Road construction out front can't be helped, but that combined with construction at the property was very inconvenient. We did not know about the construction or that only one car could be parked on the property when we booked or we would have probably booked elsewhere. The main problem was the elevator. We traveled with a relative who is still healing from broken bones and must use a walker to get around. After reading about the elevator issues, I called Sand Seeker Realty the week before and was told that one elevator must be working at all times. The one elevator that did work was so shaky and loud that it was scary every time we rode it. Twice, that elevator did not work or work properly. That was very disturbing because it is not only a safety hazard, but also had the potential of keeping our relative stuck in the condo all the time since she couldn't use the stairs. The elevator repairmen were there at least twice in the six days we were there, but they might as well camp out because it's an ongoing problem. Also, at least twice, the gate to the pool that didn't require climbing stairs, was blocked by construction. If the property was not going to be handicapped accessible, it should have been listed as such. The original listing should have been more forthcoming about the construction issues, so that we could have made the best decision for our family.

Aqua Vista 506-E. Construction

It was a nice condo, obviously needs some updating but adequate space. We did however find roaches and contacted sand seeker and they were supposed to have someone come spray but to my knowledge that did not happen. I did go buy spray which helped some. Additionally, the refrigerator did not work and we did contact sand seeker and they brought us a small counter top dorm fridge, this was very inadequate and we did have food that spoiled due to not being able to keep it cool/frozen. they also brought a cooler for drinks but again, inconvenient and costly with ice. I understand it was a holiday weekend but come tuesday, a refrigerator should have been moved in/fixed the existing one. We had to spend quite a bit on ice and multiple trips to the store as we had just spent 400.00 and some of that ruined. Honestly, I feel that they should refund a night for all of this inconvenience. Please feel free to contact me via my cell phone and I will be happy to discuss any of this with you. Finally, The construction was a mess and there were times the elevators did not work and you were required to walk the steps. while the workers were extremely nice, it would have been nice to know this was going on in advance of renting. It would have changed where we stayed most likely especially with only allowing one vehicle. they did spray off my vehicle as it was covered in scrapings from the side of the building. We did have to park across the street and walk over as there were very limited parking in this resort.

I hope you like dirty floors and moldy ceilings

I’m not sure why I had to pay a cleaning fee for this unit because it was dirty. The floors made our feet black and there was mold on the ceilings in most of the rooms. If you stay here, bring your own mop and EVERYTHING you need for the kitchen. The knifes I had to saw through a cantaloupe with because they weren’t sharp (safety issue), can opener didn’t work, no dish soap, no pot holders… seriously if you think you might need it in the kitchen go ahead and bring it. That ONLY good things were the view and the oven worked just fine.

Beautiful view and beach

The location is great, condo was spacious plenty of room for 6 of us. The carpets were very old and grubby (they came out and ran a carpet cleaner in traffic areas and replaced dirty furnace filter. Day 7 we found bugs (very small at first by dishwasher, then larger-roaches) Condo was a patchwork of repairs, kitchen was not well appointed, fridge had broken shelves, repairs w/wood & tape, no handle, freezes food. We appreciated the new furniture, wifi and deck. Condo association had issues with pool heater (not working for 4 days we were there, hot tub had no jets whole time but was fixed on day 12 of our stay. 1 elevator was out whole time - 2nd one was out 1 day. Lots of construction out front in the street (maybe putting in a round about)? Great proximity to shopping and restaurants. I would highly suggest a remodel, I was told this unit is always rented so they don't take it off for updates?

My kids and I really enjoyed the place and the location how it was close to alot of different places within walking distance. We also enjoyed the condo it was big enough for us to all fit comfortably.
