This 3 bedroom/2 bath, freshly renovated home sits on a very secluded 3/4 of an acre level lot and boasts a retreat like getaway! FISHING DOCK, with stairs for easy access to fish or play in the river when the water is down (check TVA schedule for water release, water rises rapidly) and NEW for 2024, a Bullfrog 5 person hot tub and covered gazebo. Prime trout fishing location, with a FISH TRAP (v-shaped rock dam) located in the river directly in front of the property. Fish stocking taking place right up the river makes this a fisherman's dream! GRILL OUT and dine by the river on this home's large COVERED porch. CANOE and two KAYAKS provided for trips down the river (use at your own risk). FIRE PIT for your enjoyment, just feet away from the Toccoa River! 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, shopping and restaurants.

I've stayed here a couple of times and this place is always clean and well kept. Its quiet and in a great location just a short drive from town.

Important Detail Missed

Home was clean and cozy and loved the fire pit area and nice hot tub. The yard and proximity to river was great. Saw beautiful deer. But one important detail left from description - the road to access property. It is not for those with vehicles sitting close to ground. The gravel road is rough and the last half had new gravel which created a challenge when leaving the house in the loose gravel since it is all uphill. Best for Jeeps or 4-wheel drive but being experienced driver was able to navigate in my Lexus. Folks should be aware before leaving home so they are prepared. But it is worth the drive so folks should definitely visit this pretty location.

The Perfect Getaway

This place is amazing if you’re looking to get away! It felt like home. Waking up to the sounds of the river, birds chirping, our children laughing, to telling stories around the campfire and hot tub in the evening. We made so many new memories. Perfect location, perfect view!

Great place to get away. Location on the river was awesome and very close to Mercier Orchard and Downtown Blueridge. My family really enjoyed the hot tub. Very peaceful.

Brian is an excellent host and the house was everything and more. It was too cold for outdoor activities but in better temperatures would be fabulous being close to the river. Will definitely book again. We also discovered the charming town of Mineral Bluff. Highly recommend this property.

Christmas Vacation

Not actually what I was expected but it was very nice. Enjoyed the fire pit area very much, spent a lot of time fishing and sitting around the fire. Would have been nice to have fire wood provided. Very comfortable inside nicely decorated. Everyone enjoyed the stay!

Great Stay

Property was just as listed. Has everything you need for a great stay. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. Saw deer, geese, ducks, and even a bald eagle. Great restaurants and shops in town. Brian our host was great at responding if we had questions. The gravel road going to the property might be a little iffy for some people but we didnt have any problems. Loved the drive. We will definitely stay here if we come back to this area.

Peaceful Place on the River

This is my second stay at this home on the Toccoa River; once with sisters and this trip with my husband. It is quiet and appears to be a great place to fish. I saw fish jumping just downstream. Whether you're there for nature, sight-seeing, or fishing, it's a great little getaway.

Nice fishing retreat

This was our second stay at Brian’s home. The location is right on the river and the home is well-equipped. We enjoyed using the fire pit and covered porch, and caught a lot of fish. The last time we stayed, we used the kayaks. Very relaxing area, and we enjoyed watching the Blue Ridge train go by and waving to the people on board. Brian is a very responsive host.

Something for everyone!

The stay was great! We could fished, kayaked, had a little fire, and enjoyed it a ton. The AC was amazing! The driveway is a little steep but not too bad. Lots of wildlife! We saw an eagle! Pretty sweet overall & would recommend!

A Fun Time at Fish Trap

Living in South GA we wanted a cool, quiet place to relax and enjoy the mountains. We found the perfect place at Toccoa Fish Trap Escape. The house was very neat and clean , equipped with everything we needed. Our special needs grandson could have spent the entire time playing in the river. It was cool enough at night to have a fire or play cornhole. It was close enough to drive to local fun places and of course the train ride was the highlight. A special thanks to Mr. Yoder for sending me my rain jacket that I left. A great vacation!!

Great place to relax and enjoy nature

We had a great time and really enjoyed the sound of the river. We also had a chance to wave at the train as it went by on its journey. This place is located off the beaten path but easy access to town. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to create some wonderful meals. We played games and did a little fishing. Was such a relaxing time after the hustle of the holidays. We will be back!!

Excellent Property in Blue Ridge

We had a wonderful stay at this great property. Beautiful location on the Toccoa River - just steps away from the house. We loved sitting by the river listening to the sounds of nature. We saw deer, plenty of Canadian geese and even an eagle soaring over the river. The fire pit was a welcome evening activity. While the outside was great, the interior of the house was fantastic!! Very well maintained, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. We were impressed with how well equipped the house was, including the kitchen. The owners have thought of everything to make their home a very comfortable and welcoming retreat. Thank you so much!! Definitely on our list to visit again! 5 stars for sure!

Great getaway

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this river side house and loved every minute. We came to get away to be by ourselves. We wanted seclusion in a nature setting. We got what we wanted! The house was clean and well equipped and was very comfortable. We spent three days going to wineries, going to an orchard to pick apples, hiking, visiting my brother an hour away in NC, and sightseeing, enjoying the fall leaves. I highly recommend this house.

Fall Getaway.

We had a great experience at this property. Just located about 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Pretty much a straight shot into downtown. The property is located right next to the Toccoa River.Right by the fish trap which sounds amazing all day long. A. Fisher man dream. The house was super clean and cute. This property has everything you might need from canoes and kayaks to grill and a beautiful porch. At the right time in the morning or in the evening you will catch deer roaming the property. The drive is beautiful getting to the house. The last bit is a gravel road and is well maintained so it's not that bad to drive through. We did it in a Toyota Corolla and had no problems. The road does get a little bumpy but it's nothing's too scary. I would recommend this house to my friends and anybody that asked me. If they're going to stay in that area. If you have a family with kids and like being outdoors, this property has so much to offer. PS do watch out when they let the dam open. The water does rise quite a bit and it's quite fast so just pay attention to the dam schedule.

Beautiful, well equipped property

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Plenty of room for two couples and a child, and we took advantage of the amenities, including fishing, use of the kayaks, and use of the fire pit. The home is nicely renovated and as pictured. Brian sent detailed directions and was responsive.
