Das Kenwood House ist ein geräumiges und doch gemütliches Landhaus aus der Zeit der Jahrhundertwende auf dem Kenwood Plaza in Kenwood, Kalifornien. Wir befinden uns im Herzen des Sonoma Valley, dem berühmten Tal des Mondes. Das Kenwood House, eine luxuriöse Ferienwohnung, bietet seit 1998 Unterkünfte auf dem Land der Weine an. Nebenan befindet sich die charmante und historische Kenwood Community Church. Der Blick von der Veranda geht auf den Kenwood Plaza, einen ruhigen, wunderschönen Park. Ein saisonaler Bach fließt neben dem Haus durch die Gärten und in den Platz.

Zu den Unterkünften im Kenwood House gehören zwei Deluxe-Schlafzimmer mit Federbetten, Daunendecken und luxuriöser Bettwäsche. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über ein brandneues, komfortables Queensize-Schlafsofa. Es gibt 1 bis 1/2 Bäder und es umfasst einen therapeutischen Whirlpool für 6 Personen (HOT TUB), geräumige Redwood-Terrassen, FIRE PIT!, Gasgrill, bezaubernde Gärten, Steinkamin, Zentralheizung, kostenloses WLAN, 60 "-Flachbildfernseher, schöne voll ausgestattete sonnige Küche, Waschmaschine und Trockner.

Der Grundpreis für das Haus gilt für bis zu 4 Personen. Zwei zusätzliche Gäste können für einen zusätzlichen Übernachtungspreis von 30 USD untergebracht werden. 00 pro Gast pro Nacht.

Das Haus ist ca. 1/4 Meile vom Highway entfernt. 12 und ist der perfekte Ort für die Erkundung des Weinlandes Sonoma und Napa Täler. Kenwood Winery, Kunde Winery und VJB sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Ebenfalls zu Fuß erreichbar sind zwei ausgezeichnete Restaurants mit vielen weiteren in Glen Ellen, Sonoma oder Napa.

Innerhalb eines Radius von 8 km befinden sich 3 State Parks, die zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zur Erholung im Freien bieten, darunter Radfahren, Picknicken, Wandern und Schwimmen. Der Sugarloaf Ridge State Park bietet ausgezeichnete Wandermöglichkeiten sowie das Robert Ferguson Observatory für einen Blick in den Nachthimmel. Der Annadel State Park bietet erstklassiges Mountainbiken, Wandern und Reiten. Für einen Vorgeschmack auf Geschichte, Literatur, Wandern oder einen gemütlichen Spaziergang ist der Jack London State Park ein unvergleichliches und einzigartiges Sonoma Valley.

Kenwood befindet sich im Zentrum des Weinlandes. Hunderte Weingüter in Sonoma und Napa Valley sind bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen. In der Nähe des Kenwood Inn und anderer örtlicher Tagesbäder stehen Wellnesseinrichtungen zur Verfügung. Die Stadt Sonoma ist nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt. Perfect for the Weekend

My husband and I traveled to Kenwood with my childhood best friend to attend the BottleRock Festival in Napa. The Kenwood House was perfect for us and our stay. Our only disappointment was that we weren't able to enjoy the house amenities because of the busy festival schedule. We will definitely stay there again!

Little Slice of Heaven

The Kenwood House is so quaint, peaceful and beautiful! The location is perfect! Don and Amy are incredible hosts. We walked into the house to find gentle music playing, great bottle of wine and assortment of cheese in the fridge. Box of crackers on the counter and a personalized welcome letter. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s before but this way by far the best. They even had bottled water, eggs, milk in the fridge so we didn’t have to run right out to the grocery store. You can tell this is much more than a VRBO property to them. The location is perfect, you can walk to restaurants and a great winery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

Fantastic All Around

Our stay in the Kenwood House was absolutely delightful. It’s an older home with incredible charm and character that’s been updated and the photos do not do it justice, especially the backyard, which was literally an expansive botanical oasis. It was a great homebase for our journey to all the vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties and we had a delightful dinner one night at a nearby gastropub and brewery. Also the tasting room for Ty Caton vineyards near the gastropub was an unexpected surprise. I do have to share that our flight to SFO was delayed so we would be arriving at the house much later than expected. As we got closer to the town of Kenwood we couldn’t find a grocery store using the maps feature on our phones (not sure why as we later located a Safeway about 15 minutes from the house) but did find a 7-Eleven where we purchased a bottle of wine and some snacks. We needn’t have bothered because when we got to the house there was a bottle of Kenwood Vineyards wine and a wheel of Camembert cheese and some crackers waiting for us – such a treat! We would stay here again in a heart beat!

My family and I can't say enough about how much we loved the Kenwood House! Charming, lovely home with beautiful yards and quiet neighborhood. The pictures don't do it justice. It's truly wonderful! And the home is spotless and equipped with everything we needed. It's also in a good central location between Glen Ellen / downtown Sonoma and the Santa Rosa area. Not having stayed in many vacation homes before I was prepared to be disappointed. But instead, was so happily surprised. And another in our family, who has stayed in many vacation homes, said this was the best experience he's had. We will recommend this home to anyone going to Sonoma!

Beyond Wonderful!!!

This by far with the best VRBO I have ever stayed in! The property was absolutely beautiful. The backyard was the perfect place for friends to sit and share a glass of wine. The hosts had so many small details that made our stay perfect from the music going in the house on arrival to fresh flowers on the table. I without a doubt plan on returning, and this property set the bar high for any other vacation rental!

Great place to stay in great location

Fantastic cottage for 2 families to enjoy for 3 nights. We were welcomed with the sweetest little gifts and bottled water which we truly enjoyed. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were updated and clean. Loved the music as we entered the home, was so welcoming. We spent some time out front and enjoyed the rockers to relax. The grounds are filled with beautiful plants and trees that looked beautiful. Thank you for such a great stay.

PERFECT!

Could not have asked for a better setting for our 18-year friendship with backpack friends from Texas and Colorado. We actually had dinner reservations for all three nights and after arriving canceled two of the nights so we could enjoy the relaxed, zen feeling of the home. Besides days were filled with hiking at Sugarloaf Ridge and Jack London, so happy not to rush and get ready to leave for dinner. The Kenwood cottage will not disappoint! Can’t wait for a return visit.

Home sweet home

Kenwood House is surrounded by gardens and rocks and gates and walkways - a beautiful setting for a cozy, perfectly equipped house. We were very close to wineries, great restaurants and shopping but were also able to snuggle into the comfort of this home.

Quiet Street Accommodations

This was a great place to stay at! It is located on a very quiet street with easy access to the main highway. Communication with owners was fantastic. They answered questions promptly. Comfortable Country Cottage

As others have said, the welcoming music sets the tone. Comfortable and clean living room, relaxing gas fireplace (Which we used a lot given the rainy weather!), and very comfortable beds and beddings. Well stocked kitchen, including some appreciated treats. Quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed walking to Palooza Brewery, for a pub meal, and two wineries Kenwood, and VJB - great tasting with food. Also quick drive to a delicious dinner at Salt & Stone and a gorgeous hike up to Bald Mountain in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Thank you Don and Amy for sharing your special home with us.

Get away with friends

The photos of this property are what drew us in. We knew it had charm, but until we arrived we didn't know how much. I could have sat on the front porch all day long! The bedrooms were spacious and the bedding was comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. We spent our days out doing wine things and came home each night to cook dinner and socialize in the back yard. It is an oasis. There were 8-10 huge turkey vultures roosting each night in the tree just beside the property. The surround sound music is a huge bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here in the future!

Wine Country Girls Trip

The first impressions upon arrival were: nestled into the trees, clean, spacious, beautiful/lush backyard. The house was just perfect for our wine country get away. Close to many wineries, close to world-class dining. access to grocery stores/markets. Amy and Don were so easy to work with. They were very helpful in making suggestions and even helping to coordinate certain aspects of our trip. We communicated a few times during our stay and they were always very responsive. The house itself is so charming, with a. very relaxing/cozy vibe. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Wine Country Home

We have stayed at this Wine Country home many times in the past and will be scheduling many more in the future. Home is convenient to visiting many nearby Sonoma wineries with fine dining at Salt and Stone, great pizzas at VJB Winery and Tips restaurant for top BBQ. Amy, a retired office manager and Don, a local landscape architect are long time residents of Sonoma County. The Kenwood House was purchased in 1971 by Don’s mom where he has lived off and on for 50 years. Amy moved to Santa Rosa as a little girl with her family in 1962. We met in 1994 and were married in 1998. We raised our blended family in Santa Rosa. During this time, the Kenwood House was established as one of the original vacation rentals in the Kenwood area. We ran this business continuously for 13 years providing a unique visitor experience and a high level of hospitality. In 2010 we decided to move to the Kenwood House to enjoy this special place ourselves. Now with an expanding extended family, we have moved on. Once again the Kenwood House is available for guests to enjoy during their visit to Sonoma County.
