Best Cape Visit Ever!

Reviewer Comments: Pine Cone 2 is a beautiful home with lots of space, a gorgeous kitchen, air conditioning, two and a half very clean (well appointed) bathrooms, and a two minute walk to the beach. You can also walk to JTs for ice cream or Ardeo for dinner. Our family has been coming to Brewster for the past 30 years and always stayed at Ocean Edge. But this summer we wanted a house with more space. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful time, perfect weather and made some beautiful memories.One small suggestion to make things absolutely perfect - more comfortable outdoor furniture and the same for the family room would be much appreciated.

The porch was not clean - there were cobwebs and dust. 2. ahem...The owners should be told that they need to replace their deck furniture - it is salt encrusted ancient stuff. The divan is old and uncomfortable. Also - the twin mattresses are hard as a rock. They need to be replaced. Until these issues are dealt with I would not recommend the cottage.

Reviewer Comments: I have been delaying responding to the survey in the hopes of receiving a response from the rental agency regarding our stay Sept 15-22 at 217 Winslow Landing. The property information book stated that the fireplace was not to be used, it needed repair and was not safe. The fireplace frame was ajar and a power cord was unplugged in front of it. When we contacted the rental agency they spoke to the property owner and tried to contact the property manager(who was out of town). The fireplace was not made functional. I spoke to Dawn(in person) regarding the situation. She assured me she would speak to the owner further and follow up. A week later I sent Dawn an e-mail requesting follow up. There has been no further contact. I would not recommend this agency and would strongly dissuade renting this property. The location was lovely but does not offset non working advertised features plus numerous smaller annoyances, e.g. a shower stall that required repair (and the repair was done with duct tape- adequate, but not ideal), front windows that were unlock-able,skillets in no condition for use, one burner on the stove was unusable. Thank you for any attention you give to my survey responses.

House is beautiful with lots of space for the whole family to spread out and enjoy. Perfect location close to town to eat, shop & get ice cream for the kids! Third year here; still a great time

With 3 adults, 2 children, and a dog, it managed to fulfill all our basic requirements. Added this year were some inflatables for the beach which we really enjoyed Not perfect though.. Outdoor furniture is a mess, loaded with bird poop, and weathered beyond all usability. Floors are always filthy here; bottoms of feet turn black after about 10 minutes. Lamp in master bedroom has been dangling off its fixture for 3 years now with no repair. Towel racks upstairs coming out of the wall. Living room furniture is uncomfortable and cushions on white couch are dirty and stained. And, some new beach chairs would be much appreciated. But even so, overall experience was excellent and we'll be back for a fourth stay.

Everyone in my family was impressed. My 2yr old loved the lobster and octopus (nice touch). The location was fantastic - very close to the beach. We would definitely stay there again. There were a few things we'd like to see corrected that would have made our stay even better. The keys were difficult to use in the locks. It took us about 20 min to get into the house and we never locked it in fear we wouldn't get back in. There were some mouse droppings in the master bedroom and we couldn't get the fireplace working. I would also bring your own TP.

The cleanliness, the layout of the house and the location were great. Everything we needed was there. Certainly a memorable vacation.My only recommendation would be to care better of the outside and provide more seating options to be able to enjoy the yard as well as the inside of the house. It would be nice to have a king size bed in the master bedroom and maybe a queen upstairs instead of full size beds but other than that everything was perfect and we would book this home again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year weve vacationed at this location. The house is newly reconstructed and served our purposes well. Just a very short walk to the ramp leading to the beach, be aware that when the tide rolls in, the beach is reduced to a small corner of sand where, in season, youll be competing with others for prime location. Most seem to make do, however.. And when the tide is not quite high, enough of the beach opens up to provide ample access to most who desire it. The location of the property is great with easy access to restaurants, shopping, etc. Overall, a great time was had. Criticisms: The floors were swept but not washed, and were so dirty the bottoms of our feet turned black in short order; The knives in the kitchen were so dull you could barely cut fruit with them; the light over the right side of the master bed as youre looking at it is shorted out; and paper supplies were lacking when we arrived.

Beautiful House, Just Feet From Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic time at this beautiful, new house just a few steps from the beach (one House away). The house is beautifully designed with a great kitchen and open floor plans. It is cheery and nicely decorated. It is a quiet oasis in a private neighborhood. Couldn't have been more relaxed.
