1953 historisches Aufnahmestudio & Künstlerhaus am Vermilion River, nur 10 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt. Woche oder Wochenende am Pool Entspannung! Minuten von der Innenstadt entfernt. Sehr geräumige, friedliche Sackgasse und alle Haustiere sind willkommen, da ich 2 freundliche Hündinnen habe, die aber für unsere Gäste gesperrt werden können. Zugang zu einem sehr großen, eingezäunten Garten, einer Baumschaukel mit Blick auf den Pool und einer Feuerstelle im Freien mit Sitzgelegenheiten rund um die Feuerstelle.
Privater Steg im Hinterhof zum Bootfahren, Kajakfahren, Kanufahren oder Angeln vom Steg aus.

Arived at 4 pm. Lock box didn't work. Place is a dump. Tried to call owner the number they gave was in Ohio.VRBO said they would refund my money, have not checked yet. Had to scramble to find a place after traveling 12 hours. Worst experience I have ever had with a online rental place. And I have used booking agencies at least 50 times

Outstanding Customer Service

Our stay was fantastic. Both hosts were on top of any requests or information we requested. Property owner was welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond for us. Breakfast was scrumptious, with a fabulous homemade gravy. Yum. The kayak trip was perfect and we were able to launch and return to the B&B, although hosts offer drop off and pick up at numerous stops along the river. We definitely will stay again.

Beautiful location

Great, quiet place to stay downtown. There is a River at the back of the property with a large bright Florida room to enjoy some peace. Host was very helpful and friendly. Bedrooms were large. I appreciated the accessible features.

The Perfect Place for Valentine’s Day

This was our first time using this app but they made it so easy for us, we even got there late but he still gave us a lovely tour & was literally there if we needed anything including getting locked out at 3 in the morning but they never complained..even with their home being on the other side of the house it was very private & peaceful.The dogs are even trained to be excellent hosts & help you out when needed..we’re definitely returning 😁

Nice host but not as listed

Host was great, but stay was not as listed. No kyake,boat,wiifii,working washer and dryer, the house was u see construction and a complete mess. Sheets on beds were dirty No hot tub house was shared with the host. We ended up leaving and contacted Vrbo. We spent allmost 400$ and did not get what we exspected and left early we have not heard back from Vrbo non habe we Gotton the refund the promised us. This has been a complete nightmare! I will never ever use Vrbo again and suggest you not use them. Host was very nice

WONDERFUL B&B ! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT PLACE TO STAY! THE KIDS HAD SO MUCH FUN! THE OWNER MR. CHARLIE AND HIS NEPHEW ROBERT WERE WONDERFUL HOST AS WELL AS THEIR TWO DOGS BB AND MUFFIN. THERE WAS PLENTY OF SPACE FOR MY GROUP AND THE BACK YARD AREA WAS PERFECT FOR OUTSIDE COOKING AND HANGING OUT BY THE POOL, THERE'S EVEN A LITTLE DECK ON THE RIVER FOR FISHING. THERE WERE A FEW AFTERNOON SHOWERS DURING OUR STAY BUT THAT DIDN'T STOP OUR FUN AT ALL WITH THE CLOSED IN PATIO! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING AGAIN!

Had to find other accommodations

There was no stay. Every concern/anxiety a person has about using a service like vrbo happened at this property. The lock code did not work, the pool was empty, the AC was broken, the place was a wreck and they were not even expecting us. I made the reservation 6.5 weeks before our arrival date. During that entire period the owner did not communicate with me that the property may be going through some construction to the unit. When I arrived there was no way I could have stayed there. I sent a text communication to the owner two days ago and have not had a response. Hopefully I do not have to go through vrbo to get my money back. This experience will GREATLY influence my decision on IF I ever use a short term rental again. And absolute sh!t show.

Brady Bunch House Letdown

Confirmed reservations and received codes for entry the night before reservation. Friend drove 800 miles, we go to check in around 5:30 pm tho check in is at 3 p. We believed we had the whole house, tho we pulled up to two old cars parked in the middle of the drive, we see people looking out the window at us, we go to use the code provided for the side door per pictures & there were two code boxes. It was starting to rain and we tried the code on both keypads. Neither allowed us access. We thought we'd go knock on the front door where we saw someone, but I also tried calling the number provided in our instructions and the number was a non working number. So I messaged the owner thru Vrbo. No response and with that decided if this person saw us. Knows we tried to get in and couldn't then why would they be honest enough to open the door. We noticed a window air conditioner hanging out a window & the neighbors houses were all mansions and well kept. This looked like the Brady Bunch house and likely the neighborhood eye sore. To stay out of the rain we got back in the car and finally the owner responded thru Vrbo that he misunderstood our reservation to be that day and the house wasn't ready. (We had gotten confirmation the day before and it was two hours after check in). The owner said the pool had just been shocked bc of algae and if we could just go elsewhere for the night and they'd give me a discount for the day. I want a FULL REFUND NOW!

Nice Owner, Not as Depicted

The property was in a great neighborhood and booking was very convenient. However, upon our arrival the house was under construction and not complete. We got with the property manager and we got a refund. We did not wind up staying due to no air conditioning and water heater not working. The owner was working on getting this fixed.

Welcoming and Pleasant Stay in Lafayette

Perfect for the 10 days we needed a "home away from home" for my daughter's recuperation from surgery. As we live out of town, we needed a home base and Mr Charlie's place certainly fit the bill. Close to everything we needed, plus a very quiet, comfortable spot to relax. Excellent communication with the host and always available for questions, suggestions, etc. Lovely back yard and a sparkling pool for our use! Would recommend and also rebook in this location! Thank you, Rob and Mr Charlie for a peaceful and restful stay!

We had a great Weekend!!!

I had my husbands 40th Bday Bash the Saturday of our stay. My husband,l,our 2 puppies,and all our guess really enjoyed our time at the house. The house and property was very clean the pool was lovely and we all enjoyed the fishing area in the back. The property owners were very nice and laid back. There house is a ultimate chill spot. It's 2 days later and all our guess are still talking about the party and how much fun we all had. I will definitely be renting this house again. And a few of my guess said they also will be renting it in the future. Tks for a great Weekend!!!

I was told one thing and it was another. I was not please to where I didn’t even stay the weekend I booked for. I walked in looked around. The rooms were okay but the back was horrible. I specially asked if the back with the pool would of been ready for that weekend for a party which I was told I could of have parties there. I was told it would of been ready for that weekend and it wasn’t ready.

Delightful and charming sanctuary

Great uncle. Charlie and his nephew Rob were great hosts. Cajun hospitality in true form. The master bedroom is huge, comfortable and very peaceful. The back yard is very tranquil especially at night and is a lovely place to unwind by the river. I enjoyed my stay very much and hope to stay there again soon. Sincerely with thanks.

I am a Petroleum Geologist and I office in the Oil Center based in Lafayette, LA. I am a long-time resident of Lafayette and bought my house in 1973, which is located on the Vermilion River and 3 miles from Lafayette Regional Airport and 1 mile from downtown Lafayette about 3 blocks from the Oil Center. I served in the Navy from 1942 to 1946 on the USS Pennyslvania. I have 2 sweet, spayed, 'shelter rescued' female dogs: "Muffin" (the little one) and "BB" (the black one).
A 40,000 gallon swimming pool in the fenced backyard which has gated access to the stairs leading down to the boat dock on the Vermilion River. All pets are welcome to stay, however please let us know if they are staying with you so that we can facilitate a happy, peaceful meeting. If our dogs are rude or aggressive then we will simply lock their access to all shared or occupied areas during your stay here.

Plus, the huge pool, fishing as fast as you can put a baitline in the water, the stairs to our floating SKY BLUE floating dock and pontoon boat, the safe & quiet neighborhood, YET when the time is RIGHT LIVE & LOUD CAJUN MUSIC & combine that with our swampy great food, the watchful and friendly neighbors, all the pets & with the airport 5 minutes away, downtown just as close with even more activities from alligator watching & hunting OR all the fishing AND from MY backyard river to the FIRE to the PLATE - catfish, crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, TC spice (yup Tony's), TOBASCO SAUCE as a staple in every LA household's pantry or refrigerator, I GUARANTEE.... Oui cher it is why WE CAJUNS SAY:

"Laissez le bon temps rouler" = which is a calque of the English phrase "let the good times roll" AND strongly conveys the “joie de vivre” (“joy of living”) attitude that pervades south Louisiana....

AND THAT is why "I" ok, "we" think my property stands OUT from ANY and ALL the rest. IF you come and stay and DON'T have a CAJUN OF A GOOD TIME, WELL guess you should have had another glass of WINE...
