Enjoyed the stay

Enjoyed my stay here! Loved the tiki bar next to the beach with drinks and order food. My real favorite part is the resort had enough carts available to unload and load your car! Little things in life!

1st Destin visit

The resort itself was very nice. The pools were big and conveniently located around the property. The resort was not far from most places we wanted to go. The condo itself was on the 2nd floor, which was super nice. If we didn't want to wait for one of the 4 elevators, it was only one floor up to take the stairs. The room was right across from the coin laundry room, which made it easy access to do laundry. The tiki shack was between the 2 largest pools, and offered drinks and great food from the onsite cafe. Prices weren't terrible. Our balcony overlooked one of the pools and was a perfect view of the ocean. The beach is literally steps from the pool. Parking was easy at the resort as well with security to let only residents onto the property as you pulled in. The condo was furnished with plenty of things in the kitchen. Appliances were updated. Only recommendation would be for some of the pots and pans to be replaced, and the deck furniture to be updated. Nothing though that made this not a great stay.

Pelican Resort Property

The atmosphere was amazing, property was very nice and clean Condo was great and our ocean view was incredible!! Employees were friendly and all the other guest as well I have no complaints about this property. Great stay

We had a great time. This is our fourth year to visit Destin and we stayed at Pelican Beach each time. This was our favorite room. All of the rooms have been very nice but we really enjoyed this unit and its location. It over looks the front pool and ocean.

We had a great time here. Condo was nice and spacious. The only things I would suggest is a washer and dryer. I spent a lot to be there for a week, I had to do laundry every day and pay extra for that. And maybe the check out time later. But other than that, we truly had a great vacation! Condo was decorated and had a very welcome feeling

Property was “So So”

We come to Destin regularly and enjoy the various properties. This property was not clean when we arrived. Old/ used towels still hung from the shower door, food left in freezer, etc. The master bedroom tv was very dated and did not work. The property management service said they would address these issues but never did. Disappointing.

Ideal family getaway

We loved our time at Pelican Beach! It fit our family of 3 perfectly. It was convenient when it was busy to only have to walk down one flight of stairs. If the poolside restrooms had lines a mile long, we just went up the stairs to the room. We rented beach chairs everyday that comes with a server for all your food and drink needs. It’s perfect for when you are having fun in the water but need to eat. We spent many days at the pools and many nights throwing the football around on the beach. We enjoyed seeing a pod of dolphins every morning off the balcony. There IS a washer dryer less than 50ft from the room. A detail I would’ve loved to know ahead of our trip. Overall, if you have a smaller family this is the best condo option at Pelican Beach Resort and I hope we’ll return soon!

Great beach spot!

This condo was very clean and had all the basic necessities The location was great, over looking the pool, hot tub and beach. The few things that could be better would be the bunk bed and pull out mattresses upgraded and maybe update the furniture. All in all though a great vacation!.

We came to the condo it seemed good, however; around the outsides are roaches in the hallways. The beds were very uncomfortable. The pull out mattress was very thin and lumpy. Ended up changing to sleeping on the actual sofa. The hallway beds were hard and the king size mattress was very springy. The umbrella situation in the beach was ridiculous. You have to pay for Pelican beach resort umbrella and chairs (even though they are sold out) if you bring your own umbrella and chairs - good luck you are about 6 rows back and have no view of the water; which is why we go to the beach! Very crowded resort and the elevators are very, very slow. Kitchen table has a screw on the floor that needs to be tightened which causes the table to wobble. The side table by the sofa is also loose and wobbly. I can honestly say we will not be returning to this resort!

Destin Family Reunion

When we rolled out the hide a bed we decovered it was broken and unusable and had to be replaced; but it took management two days to do that. Then the microwave didn't work because a new breaker was needed. We had family staying at another resort and the plan was for them to come visit. But there were twelve family members and the Pelican Beach Resort only allows two guests. If I had know that before hand, I would have found another resort. One of the toilet paper holders was missing and when I went to the front desk I was told that this was not their responsibility.....PLEASE A very nice resort, overall, but too many problems propped up that should have been handled before we arrived. Management admitted that they knew the hide a bed was broken, but they had not addressed the problem. I won't be returning to Pelican Bay Resort

Umbrella beach

The condo we stayed in was very clean and comfortable..however the condo was not our reason for coming here. Our reason for coming to Destin wast the beach. I say to anyone who wants a great beach experience do not come here. The entire beach in front of the property is riddled with endless rented chairs and umbrellas which causes the beach to be extremely hot and overly crowded. Had a great honeymoon because I love my husband but will never return to this property.

Awesome family beach vacation

We had a great week at Pelican Beach resort. Overall condo # 203 provided all we needed for the week. We Could’ve used more pillows. We had an issue with the drain in the shower but the manager took care of it right away I having a maintenance worker come up to fix it. The location of the resort is fantastic. Being so close to the white sandy beach was awesome. We loved the amenities of the resort especially the hot tub, pools and tiki bar. We highly recommend this resort when going to Destin.

The place was overpriced. The apartment Is old with old furniture ( it’s not like the picture) We couldn’t use the drawers because they smell bad. One of the towel rods kept falling down , there were only 4 pillows when it said it’s for six people. The queen sofa bed didn’t have the top bed sheet. And one of the bathroom didn’t have a cabinet or a shelf . The beach and the sea are incredible.

Pelican Beach Unit 203

Listing was misleading about washer/dryer in unit. It does not have one which is so important in Florida with the humidity and being in the water all the time. Bath and beach towels take forever to dry naturally so not having this was key to deciding in where to stay. Also refrigerator needs replacing. Keep things cold while door is shut but don’t open it, immediately warms up the food which was frustrating when you had excursions to be at and needed to pack snacks and drinks while in and out. Don’t buy milk it will sour. Management company was good and responsive on crediting for laundry services but had to make time to go to a laundromat close then pickup next day so took time away from our vacay. Also this unit is near the trash bins that attract roaches so yr renters need to be awhere that people each week drop off trash outside the door when they leave. It doesn’t get taken out by staff regularly so piles up and bags are sometimes to big to fit in trash bins and pizza boxes everywhere. Recommend this unit get updated soon pics online look good but in person it needs some work compared to other places. Mattresses are miserable - hard as a rock for a full week and the price I paid. Pelican beach itself needs a better way to flow arrivals and get luggage and groceries to our condos that is a disaster and appears to be no luggage carriers for each floor. Therefore people got impatient waiting for returned carriers and would follow the people who had them and then take from them instead of waiting in line downstairs where they should be returned. Parking for check in is the same not a good flow or system in place. I do not recommend this facility but the location was perfect!

Beautiful and wonderfully placed

Our room was very clean, beautifully decorated and they just opened the new pool under the balcony which was super exciting. (This listing needs new pictures, it is more up to date than the listing shows).
